Abstract

A bulldozer is a heavy equipment used to dig, push and move soil or coal material. The problem that often occurs with the D85ESS-2 bulldozer unit is that the unit often runs out of fuel. The D85ESS-2 bulldozer with serial number or SN.J11888 does not have a fuel indicator on the dashboard, so it must be checked every time. The purpose of this research is to analyze and measure the impact of the sensor rod angle and the physical condition of the float on the sensor on the accuracy of the fuel sensor. This research uses a quantitative method by modifying the size of the angle on the sensor by 75º, 85º (standard) and 95º and by adding variations in the physical condition of the float (good condition and 1 cm crack). The test was carried out using a variation in the amount of fuel of 50% or 205 liters. The results of this research indicate that the accuracy of measurements on the sensor is influenced by the physical condition of the buoy and the size of the angle. The highest result occurred at an 85º angle with a good float of 97.78%, while the lowest result was 73.32% at a 95º angle with a 1 cm cracked float condition.

Abstract

Communication and language are like important foundations to support various aspects of life. Language that is used effectively and according to a particular situation can give an expressive impression so that it can be well understood by the person you are talking to. As is the case with teenagers in Surabaya, even though they tend to use the typical Surabaya Javanese language known as boso suroboyoan, they still use Indonesian in certain situations. Therefore, our aim in conducting this research is to analyze patterns of influence on adolescent communication in Surabaya using qualitative methods which involve collecting and assessing journal sources and scientific papers as well as distributing questionnaires to search for adolescent respondents in Surabaya. This method is aimed at getting perspectives from Surabaya teenagers regarding the language that is often used in everyday communication.

Abstract

This research explores the meaning of pantun in the “Buka Palang Pintu” ceremony in the marriage tradition of the Riau Malay community, especially in Pelalawan, Siak and surrounding areas. The pantun used in this ceremony is not just a means of entertainment, but also loaded with deep meaning that reflects the cultural values, customs, and philosophy of life of the local community using a literature review approach and the first step taken is to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the Exploration of Pantun Buka Palang Pintu Marriage Tradition of the Malay Community of Riau. This research shows that rhymes in the “Buka Palang Pintu” ceremony have an important role in building harmonious relationships between the groom and the bride, as well as conveying advice and moral values.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of creative-educational content on the Instagram platform to educate students of the Faculty of Architecture and Design (FAD) UPN Veteran East Java about Islamic teachings and values in the digitalization era. The research method used is qualitative and quantitative by distributing questionnaires and digging deeper into the content that can be trusted and in accordance with the teachings in Islam. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide more in-depth knowledge about effective strategies and redevelop existing strategies to be more varied and reach and involve generation Z, especially students of the Faculty of Architecture and Design.

Abstract

The rapid development of transportation technology, especially in motorbikes, has increased interest in modifications to enhance performance. Improving motorbike performance involves modifying the ignition system by upgrading the CDI and replacing standard coils with aftermarket ones. This aims to enhance engine performance since standard CDIs have relatively low output power and standard coils have limited output capacity, necessitating compatible CDI and coil upgrades.This research focuses on improving the performance of a 110cc 4-stroke engine using experimental quantitative methods and data analysis. The independent variable is aftermarket coil variations with higher voltage (up to 90 kV) and ignition mapping with a Programmable CDI. The dependent variable is power output. Data processing involves two-way ANOVA analysis of test result graphs processed in Microsoft Excel, averaging results from three tests per variation.Results show that setting the ignition at the 13th degree and using a BRT coil provided the highest power output, reaching 8.33 horsepower at 8000 RPM. This is because effective ignition timing and larger sparks are crucial for regulating fuel combustion in the chamber, leading to earlier and more powerful explosions..

Abstract

Krupuk Singkong Nusantara Putra, a small business in Batu, East Java, faced challenges in adopting information technology for operational efficiency and market reach. This study aimed to develop a web-based information system using the Waterfall model to enhance their operations. The system was designed to be user-friendly, maintainable, and integrated with WhatsApp for customer interactions. Development involved setting up WordPress, customizing themes, adding necessary plugins, and creating functional pages. Testing confirmed the system's functionality, security, and performance. The implementation improved administrative efficiency and product management. Regular maintenance and employee training are recommended to ensure optimal performance and adaptation to dynamic needs. Future research should involve comprehensive needs analysis and broader stakeholder engagement.

Abstract

The automotive industry is growing rapidly, especially on 150 cc motorcycles. Problems related to lack of engine performance are the main focus in making modifications. Velocity stack in standard conditions is an air duct that connects the throttle body with the air filter box. The standard velocity stack is made of rubber so that it can be deformed when the vacuum is high and the shape has a curve so that it can inhibit airflow. Manufacturers make velocity stacks with consideration of their short length in order to produce optimal engine performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in stack velocity length on the power of a 150 CC single-cylinder gasoline motor. The independent variable in this study was the variation in velocity stack length of 90 mm (standard), 110 mm, 70 mm, and 50 mm. The variables tied to this study were power, specific fuel consumption, and exhaust emissions. The control variable in this study was fuel with 98 octane. The power test method uses a dyno test tool and a velocity stack with a length of 70 mm produces 15.82 Hp (0.42 Hp higher) than when using a 90 mm velocity stack (standard) of 15.4 Hp at 8000 rpm engine speed.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and evaluate technology and assistive devices that can be used to improve the learning of children with special needs who are deaf in Special Schools (SLB). With advances in technology, various devices and applications have been developed to support inclusive education, including children with hearing impairments. This research examines various technologies and tools that have been used, evaluates their effectiveness, and provides recommendations for implementation in special schools. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, data was collected through direct observation and interviews with teachers. The research sample consisted of 2 deaf children studying at SLB and their teachers. The research results show that the appropriate use of technology can significantly improve the teaching and learning process for deaf children, giving them better access to learning materials, and facilitating communication between teachers and students. The use of technology and assistive devices in special schools for deaf children has been proven to improve their learning process and the implementation of this technology requires continuous support from teachers and educational institutions to ensure long-term success.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze employee performance at PT. CIMB Niaga Auto Finance Makassar Branch in realizing dominance in competition with other companies where these efforts are closely related to human resources which influence employee performance in the company and are capital assets in the company. The population targeted for this research are parties related to the performance of PT employees. CIMB Niaga Auto Finance Makassar Branch, a total of 39 people, and all of them became respondents using questionnaires and data analysis tools. The results of this research show that from the results of the analysis of employee performance at PT. CIMB Niaga Auto Finance Makassar branch, by looking at several aspects such as education, references, experience, health, work behavior, work characteristics and personal characteristics, found that all aspects of the assessment during the recruitment process had a very positive and significant influence on employee performance.
