Abstract

Singkep is the name of an island in the Riau Archipelago. In the course of its history, Singkep Island is a sub-district with the capital city in Dabo. Like other big cities in Indonesia. Lingga Regency is also not spared from population growth. Previously, Lingga Regency was a tin producer with a mining reputation for almost 2 (two) centuries (1812-1992), to be precise on Singkep Island. After PT tin or UPTS (Singkep Tin Mining Unit) closes, it leaves remnants of tin excavations such as holes that spread across Singkep Island and are not closed again causing the former excavation holes to collect water so that a pit is formed. Over time, settlements that were formerly residential areas of miners became urban areas and the number of divisions carried out by the government consisted of several sub-districts, sub-districts and several villages. The purpose of this study was to identify the adaptation of beach coolies during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Dabo Lama Village, Singkep District, Lingga Regency. This research was carried out using descriptive, qualitative methods with as many as 6 informants used in this study and using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques and tools. Abstract

The application of e-tickets in Batam City aims to increase public awareness, especially motorcycle riders in order to reduce the number of traffic violations as in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2009 Article 272 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. However, in reality there are still many motorbike riders who violate traffic rules when the implementation of e-tickets is implemented. This study aims to find out how motorbike riders act against traffic rules in implementing e-tickets in Batam City. The theory used in this study is the phenomenological theory by Alfred Schutz. The theory used describes the motives for actions taken by motorists who violate traffic rules. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study used semi-structured interviews, observation and documentation. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling of 7 informants who were considered to be able to provide informants according to the needs of researchers. The results of this study conclude that the motive for causing motorcyclists in Batam City to violate traffic is due to a lack of awareness to comply with traffic rules which results in motorists being negligent or careless so that they commit acts of violating traffic rules, lack of knowledge the motorcyclist about traffic in the form of the meaning of traffic signs and the meaning of road markings. The act of violating traffic is also caused by following other motorists who also violate traffic. The objective motive (in order to motive) of motorists violating traffic is to save time on the highway and so that they can get to their destination more quickly.

Abstract

The phenomenon of land conflict is one of the problems that often occurs in society. Land is a basic human need for life so that every human being tries to own and control it. One of the land conflicts that occurred was the conflict over a protected forest area which only had forest and the main function of protection but in reality, the designation of a protected forest area in Gading Sari Village was a residential area, public facilities, community cultivated land and not a natural forest. The fact that forests cannot be separated from human elements such as the presence of local communities who have lived in the area for generations. Even before there were state regulations, the context of forest areas had to be placed in the mindset of spatial planning and interactions between elements. This condition worries the local community for the ownership they have, the overlapping regulations experienced by the community make the community still have to defend their right to housing for survival. Meanwhile, the government is trying to keep implementing policies, which in this case is to protect protected forest areas according to their functions. The purpose of this study was to find out how the struggle for rights to settlements and protected forest areas in the Gading Sari Village, Kundur District, used Pierre Bourdieu's Social Practice theory. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with as many as 12 informants and uses data collection techniques and tools in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that the habitus owned by the community is understood that the Gading Sari Village is not owned by anyone, but the rules that have been issued by the government as symbolic capital will change the community's habitus and make the Gading Sari Village an arena of struggle with various capitals owned. The community is trying to maintain their settlements, but on the other hand the government is also trying to keep implementing the rules by issuing new policies that are adapted to the conditions of the community.
