Abstract

This study aims to determine how the validity and practicality of the development of Hots-basedquestion instruments in grade IV science lessons in elementary schools. This research uses theDick & Carry model development method. The Dick & Carry model itself is one of the systematiclearning design models and rests on the theoretical foundation of a lesson. The results of this study indicate that the Hots question instrument that has been produced in this study is categorized as very valid. In this study, the validity value of the media, material, and language aspects was 93.18%, 92.5%, and 90%, respectively. In addition, the Hots question instrument that has been produced has a very good practicality to be used in the learning process. Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out how to develop pop up book learning media into learning media onvalid science material, (2) find out how to develop pop up book learning media into learning media on practical science material. The needs analysis in this study is the lack of use of learning media in science material, teachers only use textbooks and picture posters. This research method is development (Research and Deveploment) using the ADDIE model. The methods used in datacollection are interviews, documents, questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the pop up book learning media developed in this study is categorized as very valid. In this study, the validity value obtained from the three validation results of learning media, science learning materials, and language scores obtained sequentially are 100%, 87.5%, 77.5%. Furthermore, the pop up book learning media developed was declared very practical, obtaining a practicality score of 92.8%. It can be concluded that the pop up book learning media for the solar system can be used for learning media for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce a valid CTL approach-based energy change science module product for third grade elementary school students, (2) produce a practical energy change charge science module product based on a practical CTL approach for third grade elementary school students, (3 ) produces an effective science module for energy change based on the CTL approach for third grade elementary schoolstudents. Needs analysis in this study is that teachers and students still use teaching materials in the form of thematic printed books, even teachers still use the lecture method in linking learning materials related to contextual (reality) and in thematic printed books related to energy change materials that are too short and have little material. In addition, the pictures in the thematic books are less varied in relating them to contextual matters. This research and development uses the ADDIE model development procedure (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The subjects of this study were students of class III-A SD Negeri 117 Palembang with a total of 24 students. The quality criteria for the science module on energy change can be seen from the validation results of material, language, and media experts. The results of module validity based on material expert validation are 94.% categorized as veryvalid, linguist validation is 78% valid, media validation results are 90% categorized as very valid, and 70% practitioner validation is categorized as very practical. Then the assessment of the Small Group student response questionnaire is 99% categorized as very good. Based on what has been described, the IPA module based on the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is very feasible to use.

Abstract

The learning method at SD Negeri 195 Palembang is monotonous and unpleasant. The teacher has never developed a monopoly learning media on animal growth material for class III Elementary School. The monopoly media that has been used does not yet exist in the material for animal growth for grade III Elementary School. The purpose of this study was to determine thedevelopment of monopoly learning media on animal growth materials in elementary schools. This research method uses research and development methods with the limits of expert judgment and practicality. Expert assessment is carried out on media, language, and material experts, while practicality is with teachers and students. Data collection techniques use documentation and questionnaires, while data analysis techniques use proportions. The results of the expert's assessment show that the learning media is monopoly with a percentage of 88.65%. Thus, it can be said that the development of monopoly learning media on animal growth materials for grade 3 SD is included in the very valid or very feasible category. From the results of the skills of teachers and students obtained by 90.19%. Thus, it can be said that the practicality of monopoly learning media in grade 3 elementary school learning is included in the very practical category.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low understanding of students in understanding learning materials for class VA SD Negeri 12 Muara Pinang it can be seen from the results of interviews with class VA teachers. The lack of learning media that is taught during the learning process causes students' low understanding in understanding learning materials. This study aims to produce a media puzzle map material for the geographical conditions of Indonesia that is valid, practical, and effective. The research method used in the 4D development model consists of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data analysis techniques were carried out using validity, practicality, andeffectiveness. The results of the study using the average percentage showed the results of the media validation questionnaire analysis obtained a percentage of 97.5% with very valid criteria and material validation obtained a percentage of 93.75% with very valid criteria then the results of the one-to-one questionnaire analysis obtained 93.33% with very practical criteria, a small group got 93.49% with very practical criteria. Furthermore, the level of effectiveness of the map puzzle media at the pretest was 50.25% and the post-test was 84.6%, an increase of 34.35% from 20 students. The difference between the pretest and post-test values can be obtained that N-Gain 0.71 is included in the high category. The results can be concluded that this map puzzle media is valid for use in thematic learning. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as material for further research to be able to develop a puzzle media for material maps of different geographical conditions in Indonesia.

Abstract

The teacher's learning process has not used effective media, the learning process only usesthematic book sources and companion books and there are still some low learning outcomes insocial studies learning material for ASEAN countries students of class VI SDN 7 Muara Telang. Based on this, this study aims to produce social studies learning media material for ASEANcountries for class VI SD that is valid, practical, and effective. The type of research that is beingdeveloped is Research & Development (R&D) referring to the 4D model, namely definition, design, development, and dessiminate. In this study, the product was produced in the form of asnake and ladder media measuring 2 2 m with banner material. The data analysis technique wascarried out using percentage calculations which were then described to obtain valid, practical andeffective media results. Based on the results of data analysis using media validation, a percentageof 95.13% was obtained with very valid criteria and for material expert validation, a percentagevalue of 82.5% was obtained with very valid criteria. 66% with very practical criteria, in the small group results obtained 87.62% with very practical criteria, then through the field test from the pretest results obtained a percentage of 67.29% and 91.00% posttest can be seen from the group of criteria included in the 80 criteria %-100% with effectiveness category. So the results of thepretest and posttest test field tests get an increase of 23.71%. Thus, it can be concluded that themedia for social studies learning material from ASEAN countries can be said to be valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know determine whether diorama media with a scientific approachcan improve science learning outcomes for fifth grade elementary school students. This research is a type of quantitative research using the experimental method of True-Experimental Design research in the form of Posttest-Only Design. The variables of this study consisted of the independent variable (X) namely the diorama media and the dependent variable (Y) namely thelearning outcomes. The population in the study amounted to 75 students with 20 students asresearch subjects. Data collection techniques using tests and observations. Validation of the testinstrument was tested using the product moment correlation formula and the reliability test usingsplit-half. The data analysis technique used the T test, which was carried out after the normality andhomogeneity tests were known. The experimental class that was given treatment with diorama media obtained a posttest average of 79.50 and the control class obtained a posttest average of 61.00. The results of the t test with t table 2.024 obtained t count 4.349, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of scientific approach diorama media on science learning outcomes for fifth grade elementary school students.
