Abstract

Seaweed is one of the superior commodities of aquaculture in Kertasari Village, Taliwang District, Sumbawa Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat, with an area of ??1,550 ha in 2013 with a production of 9,850 tons. Post-harvest handling and processing of seaweed is still conducted traditionally, efficiency and the quality of seaweed produced is low. Long enough drying can affect the growth of microorganisms in seaweed, causing the growth of mold and fungus. The explanation of the problem above makes the writer try to find a solution of the problems faced by seaweed farmers in Kertasari Village, with a maker of seaweed dryers based on Solar Dryer. The solar dryer uses a corrugated plate solar collector with a slope angle of 45o and a zinc plate material with a thickness of 0.4 mm with a conductivity value (k) of 116 W / moC. In addition it uses a clear glass cover with a thickness of 3 mm with a slope of 15o. This tool uses a framework in the form of aluminum, with the tilt angle used can produce a Tout of 70.64 oC and Tin of 56.11 oC.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan unuk merancang dan membangun Aplikasi Monitoring Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa Berbasis WEB agar dapat dimanfaat oleh bagian kemahasiswaan guna mempermudah pekerjaan bagian kemahasiswaan dalam memonitor keaktifan Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) serta anggotanya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode lapangan yang bersifat deskriptif dan metode pengumpulaln data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka serta menggunakan metode Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) sebagai metode pengembangan perangkat lunak. Aplikasi UKM di Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa Berbasis WEB ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Hypertext Prepocessor (PHP) dan basis data MySQL sebagai Database Management System (DBMS). Dalam Aplikasi Monitoring Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa Berbasis WEB setiap ketua UKM yang memiliki wewenang untuk menginput data kegiatan, prestasi yang dicapai serta nama anggota yang UKM yang dilaporkan atau diinput setiap semesternya.

Abstract

Brang Biji River is one of the rivers prone to flooding. Flooding occurs can result in a collapse in the construction of the retaining walls of the soil causing substantial harm to the surrounding community. It takes an alternative in maintaining the stability of slopes to reduce the avalanche in the Brang Biji River. Alternative wall retaining walls namely pairs of stone times and Sheet Pile, while comparative analysis to determine the type of effective construction used in the Brang Biji river using manual calculation method and software Plaxis 8.6. Data collection through field surveys, to get soil type data, geometrics slopes, and soil layer. To get the stability of slope in existing condition, in case of a cladding with SF ? 1 criteria using method of reverse analysis or approach based on trial and error literature. Results obtained from the reverse analysis are used for the analysis of the compoon on the slope of the Brang Biji River, either by manual calculation or Software Plaxis 8.6 In determining the value of SF. After analysis of the stability of the slope, obtained the result that by using a stone time retaining wall with a height of 5.5 m, the bottom width of 3.85 m, the upper width of 0.6 m with a depth of 1.5 m from the ground surface and the height of the river water face around 7.8 m , both against the bolsters with SF = 3.4, against sliding with SF = 2.17 and the power of land with SF = 3 manually while using the Plaxis Software with the addition of the working floor with a thickness of 10 cm and piling with a diameter of 40 cm with a distance of 25 cm obtained SF = 1.26. Whereas by using Sheet Pile use manual calculation obtained depth (D) Sheet Pile about 2.43 m with a large stability backup (SF) = 1.5 D and the length of Sheet Pile as a whole about 8.43 m from ground level, while using Plaxis obtained value SF = 1,167.

Abstract

Nusantara Sakti Sumbawa (NSS) is a Honda agent company which sells motorcycles. The company encounters difficulty in determining the monthly sales target of their products. Therefore, the study aims to investigate the appropriate methodology to estimate the sales target for the next five months in NSS by involving 13 different brands of Honda. To achieve the goal, the researcher conducted several stages in forecasting methodology, including collecting the previous sales data of the company, plotting the collected data, and identifying the proper methods of forecasting to analyse the data. Based on the plotting data process, the researcher found that the Time Series methodology, consisting of Single Moving Average and Single Exponential Smoothing was the most suitable method to analyse the data. The results of the study showed that the prediction for the future sales target of the 13 different brands of Honda in the next five months in NSS was 182 units in total (Beat Sporty CW: 35 units, Beat street: 19 units, Vario 110: 14 units, Vario 125: 17 units, Vario 150: 15 units, Scoopy: 38 units, Revo: 1 unit, Blade: 1 unit, Supra X 125: 12 units, Supra GTR 150: 9 units, Sonic: 16 units, and CBR150R: 5 units). The study also revealed that the Single moving average was a proper method to predict the future sales target for the three brands of Honda, namely Vario 110, Revo, and Blade. While the other 10 brands, including Beat Sporty CW, Beat street, Vario 125, Vario 150, Scoopy, Supra X 125, GTR 150, Sonic, and CBR150R were appropriately predicted using the Single Exponential Smoothing method.

Abstract

This study aims to facilitate customers and administrators in ordering, recording and reservations. This study uses prototype software development methods and is built using Android Studio with Java and PHP programming languages and MySQL databases with Android version 4.4 (Kitkat). The data collection methods of this study uses interviewing, observing, and literature reviewing. The testing method uses Beta test method. The result of the study is a Food Ordering Application on Android-based at "Bengawan Tepi Sawah" restaurant that can be accessed through the Play Store and is expected to improve the customer service. This application functions to order food menus, drink menus, data recording, and reservations. The application will be used by customers to order food menus, drink menus and reservations, admin or restaurant staffs who are in charge of ordering food and drinks for customers, recording order data, and serving online reservations at "Bengawan Tepi Sawah" Restaurant.

Abstract

To fully utilize the intermittent renewable energy resources, energy storage applications such as lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) become very critical. Among LIBs components, cathode part is very important. LiFePO4 material is among the cathode material which has gained significant attention owing to its environmentally friendly and low-cost features compared to Co- or Ni-based cathodes. In this study, we present a theoretical investigation of LiFePO4 material using density functional theory calculations. We optimized LiFePO4 as well as FePO4 structures. Li ion intercalation potential into the structure was also calculated. In addition, the electronic structure of the material was also studied. The present study may provide an insight for further investigation of cathode materials for LIB applications.

Abstract

The amount of plastic used in this era has many impacts, one of which is plastic waste, but this shows that plastic has many benefits and advantages so that it is used in almost all things in everyday life. Reuse (recycling) of plastic will be very helpful in dealing with plastic waste problems. One alternative to plastic recycling is the use of plastic waste as a material for making lightweight bricks. Problems that are often encountered in the use of conventional brick in this era are the density (density) and compressive strength, where the expected results are with a low density (density), can produce high compressive strength. Presentation of the above problems makes the writer interested in researching the use of plastic waste to be used as raw material for making lightweight bricks. In this study used 4 variations of plastic types, namely PP, LDPE, and HDPE, making plastic specimens mixed with pumice waste because it has porous and lightweight characteristics, with a ratio of 50:50 from volume. With each variation consists of 2 (two) beam-shaped samples to be tested for density (?) and compressive strength (P). A total of 6 samples. The results showed that LDPE plastic material mixed with pumice has the best density and compressive strength compared to other types of mixtures with the value of ? = 0.76g / cm2, and P = 123.15kg / cm2 or 12.08MPa.

Abstract

St. Gregorius Senior High School is one of the schools in Sumbawa which was founded by Yayasan Insan Mandiri. Administration data processing process at St. Gregorius Senior High School Sumbawa uses Microsoft Excel so that optimization of information technology is one solution to improve the performance of administrative staff so that work becomes more efficient. Therefore, the system that is needed one of them is with a web-based information system. The information system in this study was designed using PHP CodeIgniter framework and MySQL database. The system development method used is the waterfall method. The results of this study are the Information System for the Payment of Educational Development Donations (SPP) at the St. Gregorius Senior High School Sumbawa who is able to process administrative data on SPP payments more efficiently. In the future, this information system can be developed using existing features into a complex system and capable of developing technology.

Abstract

Today, the rapid development of the world of technology and information, spurred labor professionals, and layers of society, around the world to explore and develop their potential to keep up with these developments. Based on research on AZKI LAUNDRY Rantauprapat not yet look optimal and is still less efficient and not yet effective. The design of information systems in AZKI LAUNDRY Rantauprapat using the PHP Programming Language and MySQL. The design process starts from formulating the problem, setting goals, and collecting data. After all the required data is obtained, the design process is continued at the system analysis and software requirements stage. The result of this design is an application for the expected data processing process and represents the design that has been made. This application can perform the relevant process.

Abstract

This sound absorption test was conducted by finding the value of Sound Transmission Class (STC) using the impedance tube testing method that refers to the ASTM E413 standard. This study aims to determine the effect of the percentage of composite pumice - PET plastic on sound absorption. As for the variation of the volume fraction of pumice: PET plastic that is (40:60, 50:50, 60:40)% based on the volume ratio. In this study it can be seen that the highest value in the sound absorption test is found in composites with a volume fraction of 40:60 with an STC value of 25, while the lowest value is found in composites with a volume fraction of 60:40 with an STC value of 11. Based on the results of this study, composite with a volume fraction of 40:60 is the best percentage in the sound absorption test because the greater the STC of a material, the better it is at absorbing sound.
