Abstract

The problem of badminton athletes at the Universitas Tangerang Raya caused by the declining achievement factor experienced by athletes. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength, waist flexibility, and hand-eye coordination to the lob ability of badminton athletes. The population of this study amounted to 59 people. The sampling technique was taken by "purposive sampling". The sample consisted of 30 male athletes aged 17-19 years. The data collected in this study were arm muscle strength with a push-up test, waist flexibility with a bridge-up test, eye-hand coordination with a tennis ball throwing and catching test, and lob hitting ability with a lob ability test. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical methods, then interpreted using a simple product moment for hypotheses one, two, three. The fourth hypothesis uses the dolitte double correlation formula. To determine the contribution of the independent variable to the dependent variable with the determination formula 1k xr1k x 100%. This research is included in the type of correlational research. The results of this study indicate: (1) There is an insignificant contribution between arm muscle strength and lob hitting ability, with a value of r = 0.130, r2 = 0.017, the contribution is 3.17%. (2) There is an insignificant contribution between waist flexibility and lob ability, with r = 0.082 obtained r2 = 0.007, the contribution is 0.79%. (3) There is no significant contribution between eye-hand coordination on lob hitting ability, with r = 0.247 obtained r2 = 0.061, the contribution is 8.04%. (4) There is an insignificant contribution between arm muscle strength, waist flexibility, and eye-hand coordination on lob hitting ability, with R = 0.436, R2 = 0.120, the contribution is 12%.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to identify and understand comprehensively character education in English textbook in terms of honesty and discipline character. The method that used in this research was content analysis method (content analysis). The approach that used was a qualitative approach. The data were collected by reading the textbook intensively and repeatedly then analysis the data of character education. The results of the data analysis found 28-character education values. From these data, the researcher analyses 4-character education in listening skills, then in speaking skills were found 10-character education values, in reading skills there were 13-character education values, and there were 1 character education value of writing skill. The dominant character education values that were analysed was character education in reading skills.

Abstract

This research aims to provide an overview of parent’s role while accompanying children to learn from home during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research used library research with six stages namely: determining research topics, reviewing of literature up-to-date, reducing literature, organizing literature, review literature, and made conclusions. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive qualitative. The current literature is the data sources used in this research , devided into two data sources , namely primary data sources including ebooks, international and national journals, and articles related to early childhood education and the covid-19 pandemic. The secondary data sources in this research was the latest news related to the covid-19 pandemic and early childhood. The result of this research indicate that the parent’s role while accompanying children to learn from home is proven to increase children’s achievement. Accompanying children to learn from home can build closeness between parents and children, be a good model for children, children feel not alone, parents as encouragement, prepare fasilities for children, establish intense communication with children, maintain religious values, develop children’s ability, create a conducive environment for learning, and provide freedom for children to learn and play. However, there are several obstacles faced by parents such as: difficulty in cultivating children’s interest in learning, difficulties in operating gadgets, not having enough time to accompany children, impatient parents in accompanying children, and obstacles related to internet service coverage

Abstract

Budaya belajar sangat dibutuhkan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Untuk itu, setiap guru sekolah dasar harus memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam materi budaya. Penelitian ini mengembangkan bahan ajar studi lintas budaya untuk meningkatkan karakter nasionalisme siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode ADDIE. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan dengan desain ADDIE yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester enam program studi pendidikan guru sekolah dasar FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah lembar validasi ahli dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan analisis hasil uji validasi ahli. Tahap uji coba produk dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester 6. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar studi lintas budaya layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil analisis lembar validasi oleh validator bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Selain itu, hasil analisis angket yang diberikan kepada siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar studi lintas budaya menunjukkan karakter nasionalisme siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik, dan tanggapan angket yang diberikan menunjukkan bahan ajar layak digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar studi lintas budaya berpengaruh terhadap karakter nasionalisme mahasiswa pendidikan guru sekolah dasar di FPIK Universitas Sriwijaya dan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran IPS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the process of learning to write argumentative essays, to describe the improvement of argumentative essay writing skills, and to describe changes in the behavior of students in class X-Ak2 SMK N 9 Tangerang Regency. The research in this research is classroom action research using the Krutt Lewin method. Learning is developed by selecting and using lesson plans, media, methods, and evaluations to improve school quality. The results of this study indicate an increase in argumentative essay writing skills in the initial condition test, the first cycle test, and the second cycle test. In the pre-cycle test, students obtained an average score of 68.1, while in the first cycle, the student's test results reached an average of 70.8. Based on this, there was an increase of 2.7 or 3.96%, namely from 68.1 in the initial condition to 70.8 in the first cycle. In the second cycle, the average value achieved was 81.67 and was included in the good category. , so that there was an increase of 10.87 or 15.35%, from 70.8 in the first cycle to 81.67 in the second cycle. The results of the second cycle test, showed that from 30 students, 20 students were declared complete and 10 students had not completed because they had not reached the KKM score of 75. The percentage of completeness reached 66.67%, this indicates that the target of student completion is more than 50% of students. finished. So this proves the success of researchers in research writing argumentative essays using the scientific method.

Abstract

One of the basic material in geometry is triangle and quadrilateral topic. It should be mastered by students before learning the next topic in geometry. In consequence, it becomes an essential topic. In fact, there are still students who have difficulties. That difficulties can be caused by learning obstacle during learning process. This discussion only focused on the students’ epistemological obstacle in learning triangle and quadrilateral topic. This study aims to identify the students’ epistemological obstacle based on errors when they answered the written test given. Five questions in written test were given to 25 grade VII students in one of junior high schools in Sumedang. This study used qualitative approach where data were analyzed with triangulation method from result of the test and the students’ interview. This research showed that the limitation of context in introducing triangles and quadrilateral was able to caused learning obstacle for the students. Furthermore, it caused the students having difficulty in solving the similar problem with different context in triangle and quadrilateral topic.

Abstract

This study aims to: analyze the effect of incentives and competencies on teacher performance at the SMKS Nurul Muttaqien Tigaraksa, Tangerang Regency. This research is a quantitative research. The population of this study were teachers of SMKS Nurul Muttaqien Tigaraksa, Tangerang Regency, amounting to 30 people. All members of the population were sampled in this study (saturated sample). The results of the research on the independent variable incentive X1 obtained t count (2,995) > T table ( 1,701 ) and the competence variable X2 t count (2,225) > t table (1,701). So, the incentive variable (X1) has a partial effect on the teacher's performance variable (Y), and the competence variable (X2) has a partial effect on the teacher's performance (Y). The f test results show that f count (29.892) > f table (1.703). With a significance of 0.000 < alpha = 0.000 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The test results of the coefficient of determination (R2) show Adjusted R Square of 0.777, it can be concluded that the Incentive and Competency variables affect the teacher performance variable by 77.7% while the remaining (100-77.7%) = 22.3% is influenced by other factors .
