Abstract

We often found emergency condition on children in elementary school which can lead death. Teachers should have good knowledge and favorable attitude toward first aid so they can give right intervention on emergency condition. The objective of this activity was to improve attitude and knowledge of elementary school teachers toward it. This activity be held on training program includes lecture, discussion, and practice. Result showed there was any improvement of elementary school teachers’ attitude and knowledge score. Reevaluation and retraining should be held to improve significant score of teachers’ attitude and knowledge so do their skill toward first aid on children emergency condition in elementary school.Keywords: first aid, emergency condition, elementary school teachers, children

Abstract

AbstractThe problem that develops today is rubbish management and is a serious indicator for potential environmental pollution, especially waste of household waste. The PAR approach leads people to take transformative actions that change the social conditions of better society. This dedication program can fulfill the external target of integrated plastic waste processing system, by increasing community participation through assistance, as well as intensive giving or sosialisation, the creation of plastic waste processing technology in the form of distillation, variety of the product are accessories and other handicraft products, ergonomic system, managerial system by utilizing garbage bank as waste processing place.  Keywords: Participatory Action Research, waste plastic management, community partisipation

Abstract

AbstractCirculation and drug abuse appear as a lack of understanding of the students about the impact of drugs. School counselors have a role in preventive efforts to prevent circulation and abuse in the school environment through counseling and counseling services in the Information and Counseling Center program in peer guidance and peer counseling. The purpose of the Information and Counseling Center program is as a precautionary measure of drug abuse and abuse, as well as insights into the implementation of peer guidance and peer counseling. Method of execution through counseling, training, and forum discussion group. The program targets are students and counselors at SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin Playen and SMP Negeri 2 Playen, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Evaluate the implementation through group discussion forums with policymakers. The results of the implementation of the Information and Counseling Center program is the emergence of an understanding of students, counselors, and the school about emergency drugs in Playen, Gunungkidul as a tourist environment as well as development of peer guidance and peer counseling skills on students and counselors. Abstract

The high and varied disasters occur in Indonesia, requiring the government and the whole community to be ready for disaster. In the Faculty of Nursing Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), there is a group of students who do extracurricular activities to provide health aid called PNC. Training needs to be done to enhance the role of PNC as well as increasing the participation of students in the disaster relief program. This training resulted in increased knowledge and attitudes of PNC members on disaster management, and also increased the knowledge and attitude related to the role and function of students in disaster management effort. In addition, other additional results related to the effectiveness of training methods for PNC members successfully obtained. The methods compared were lecture and discussion (LD) compared with LD plus simulation and FGD methods. It is measured by using the quasi experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. Data analysis used Mann Whitney test. The result showed that there was no difference in knowledge and attitude (p = 1,000) in both treatment groups (p = 0,424). Which means that there was no difference between LD method and LD plus simulation and FGD method.Keywords: Training, Disaster Management, Padjadjaran Nursing Corps (PNC)

Abstract

One of the mathematics material that elementary school teaches is multiplication. One of the problems in the Kunci village is that there are still many elementary school students who do not understand or can’t memorize multiplication, while in school it is not possible to always multiply because of time and curriculum issues, so additional learning guidance using card game is needed. The result of community service activities is the ability of children in multiplication to increase. As many as 35 of the 40 children or 81,4% children get a score above the average in multiplication tests.Keywords: Card game, multiplication
