Abstract

The purpose of this research is to solve learning problems in class, especially student learning independence. Based on the results of student observations in the learning activities that have been carried out, it is known that the independence of student learning is still quite good. In fact, independent learning is one of the success of learning. Based on observations in class, it is known that the independence of student learning is still low. This is indicated by indicators that students are less actively involved in learning in class and are still unable to independently learn to present the results of their discussions in front of the class. This problem occurs because the learning process in the classroom directs students more to work on their student worksheets without carrying out discussion activities that involve student activity in learning. Efforts made to increase learning independence are the problem based learning (PBL) and reward and punishment models. The research method used is the classroom action research (CAR) cycle. The object of research is class VII junior high school students. Collecting research data using observation sheets and student reflection questionnaires. Quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques with very good, good, good enough criteria. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an increase in the learning independence of students using the PBL and reward and punishment learning models. This increase occurred after the implementation of learning for 2 cycles

Abstract

Palm shell waste and empty palm fruit bunches thrown away can cause environmental pollution. This palm oil waste can be used as an environmentally friendly energy source, namely briquettes. Briquettes, as an environmentally friendly energy source, can be used as teaching material in school science learning. This study aims to design learning units for environmentally friendly energy sources based on palm shell waste briquettes and empty palm fruit bunches as teaching materials. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing the potential of palm oil waste in the North Bengkulu area and need analysis, including material analysis and interviews. The resulting analytical data were analyzed descriptively regarding the composition, texture, colour, test of briquettes used, burning time, calorific value and moisture content of the resulting briquettes. The sample of needs analysis data collection was determined by purposive sampling. The data from the analysis will be developed into teaching materials packaged in designing learning units on environmentally friendly technology materials for junior high school students

Abstract

The development of teaching materials requires educators to innovate in creating effective learning. E-module is one of the technology-based teaching materials developed to encourage students' natural science learning activities independently. This study aims to analyze the use of e-modules in increasing students' independent learning activities, especially in science subjects. This research is a quantitative type with 21 students in class V-A Madrasah Ibtidaiyah as the subject of the research. The data collection method is in the form of a learning activity questionnaire. The results showed that the use of e-module teaching materials can increase student learning activities by 44.74% with the most activity criteria being moderate (3-5 activities). This is because the density of extracurricular activities that must be followed at school makes children lack independent learning activities outside the school environment. With this teaching material, it is hoped that it will be able to support students' independent learning activities outside the school environment comfortably and increase students' enthusiasm for learning

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the skills that must be possessed by human resources in the 21st century. In fact, the critical thinking skills of science education students have not been properly empowered. The design of this research is quasi-experimental research. The research population used was all Science Education students at IAIN Kediri. The sample used in this study were two classes of Batch 2022, namely class A and class B. Data collection was carried out using a pretest and posttest to measure critical thinking skills, process portfolio assessment, observation of student attitudes and skills learning outcomes. The results showed that there was a positive effect from the implementation of the process portfolio assessment on students' critical thinking skills and biology learning outcomes. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the application of process portfolio assessment in the guided inquiry model causes higher critical thinking skills and student biology learning outcomes

Abstract

Children's behavior can be changed by building awareness to keep the environment clean and healthy. To determine the level of knowledge and understanding of elementary school students regarding waste management in the final disposal site (FDS) area, it is necessary to conduct this research with the aim of determining the level of knowledge and understanding of elementary school students regarding waste management in the FDS area. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The population of this study was 75 students of class V SDN 30 Aie Dingin. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Data collection uses valid and reliable test instruments. Data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative. Based on the research results, it was obtained that elementary school students' knowledge and understanding of waste management in the Aie Dingin area of Balai Gadang, Koto Tangah District, was in the medium category with a value of 46%, where the level of student knowledge about waste was 66% and the level of understanding of waste management was 54%. It can be said that the knowledge and understanding of fifth grade elementary school students regarding waste management is still low

Abstract

Difficulties are often found during the learning process. Therefore, learning media is very crucial in learning activities. With the existence of learning media can support teachers when providing learning to students. Chatbot learning media is one of the media that can help improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to find out and then describe the characteristics and analyze the truth pf increasing learning outcomes of grade VI students through the development of interactive print media in the material rotation and revolutation of earth. Researchers used the research and development (RD) method in this study. The 4D (four-D) development model previously described by Thiagarajan became the procedural model chosen by the researcher. The final score obtained in this study was 4.15 from media experts, 4.56 material experts, 4.8 teacher responses, and 4.58 student trial results. The overall validation score and trial of chatbot learning media is 4.58 which is included in the very good category and is very feasible to use as a learning media tool in grade 6 "earth rotation and revolution" material in elementary schools

Abstract

Learning needs to accommodate the diversity of students through innovative selection of strategies or learning models that are oriented towards an independent learning curriculum. The learning model that can be applied is through differentiated problem based learning (PBL) which can meet students' learning needs. This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes using a differentiated PBL model. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Sampling was carried out using the purposive sampling technique, namely the technique of determining the sample with certain considerations. Data collection techniques using tests and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques used the normality test and paired sample t-test and used the formula on the observation sheet. The results showed that learning using the differentiation model with PBL increased significantly by 83.75 and the learning process took place effectively by 78

Abstract

Learning media is an essential element to support the success of learning activities. It is used stimulate the thoughts, feelings, attention, and interest of students to learn. Learning media can be developed by adding concepts and photos from the results of a research. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of the encyclopedia of circulatory system diseases and disorders as a learning media. The content of encyclopedia contains the result from the inventory of medicinal plants for hypertension at Babane Village, Bengkayang, Indonesia. This study applied a research and development method. This development procedure refers to the Sugiyono development model, which consists of five stages namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The validity of the encyclopedia was obtained through content validation executed by five experts in the field of both biology and learning media. Encyclopedia validation is reviewed from four aspects: content, presentation, language, and graphics. Validation analysis applied the Lawshe's content validity ratio (CVR) and content validity index (CVI) approach. The results showed that the average of CVR was 1.00 which result in the CVI value of 1.00 in the "valid" category. Based on the result, can be concluded that the encyclopedia was feasible as a learning media
