Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the skills that must be possessed by human resources in the 21st century. In fact, the critical thinking skills of science education students have not been properly empowered. The design of this research is quasi-experimental research. The research population used was all Science Education students at IAIN Kediri. The sample used in this study were two classes of Batch 2022, namely class A and class B. Data collection was carried out using a pretest and posttest to measure critical thinking skills, process portfolio assessment, observation of student attitudes and skills learning outcomes. The results showed that there was a positive effect from the implementation of the process portfolio assessment on students' critical thinking skills and biology learning outcomes. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the application of process portfolio assessment in the guided inquiry model causes higher critical thinking skills and student biology learning outcomes

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia. The prevalence of DM has been reported to increase from year to year. T2DM is characterized by insulin resistance, Leptin have an effect on insulin secretion, glucose and insulin will decrease due to leptin secretion. However, low levels of leptin that exceed the normal limit will interfere with insulin work so that it triggers diabetes caused by insulin resistance. Black soybean tempeh and purple sweet potato have therapeutic potential for people with T2DM. Both contain high antioxidants This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of black soybean tempeh extract and purple sweet potato on leptin hormone levels in DMT2 rat model. The experimental animals in this study were male white rats of the wistar strain which were divided into 6 groups. Preparation of hyperglycemic rats by feeding high-fat diet for 30 days, 10% sucrose drink for 30 days and streptozotocin injection at a dose of 35 mg/kg BW in 0.1 citrate buffered saline pH 4.5. Treatment using extract and purple sweet potato for 30 days. Mice were dissected and blood serum was taken for analysis of leptin hormone levels. Based on the results of the research data, there was an effect of the combination of black soybean tempeh extract and purple sweet potato on the leptin hormone levels in DMT2 rat model.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model problem solving  berbasis PTK LS terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis.  Jenis penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) berbasis Lesson Study (LS) yang dilakukan pada dua siklus. Satu siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi yang terintegrasi dengan kegiatan LS (plan, do, dan see). Subjek penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa S1 Biologi semester ganjil yang menempuh mata kuliah fisiologi manusia kelas I berjumlah 25 mahasiswa. Sumber data berasal dari mahasiswa, observer berjumlah tiga. Hasil penelitian diperoleh Skor N-Gain mengalami peningkatan dari siklus 1 sebesar 0,7 dengan kategori sedang mengalami peningkatan pada siklus 2 sebesar 0,74 dengan kategori tinggi. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran oleh dosen mencapai 97% pada siklus 2, sedangkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran oleh mahasiswa mencapai 91% pada siklus 2. Kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa biologi meningkat pada siklus ke-2 dari penerapan problem solving berbasis PTK lesson study (LS)

Abstract

Hasil belajar mahasiswa banyak yang rendah, oleh karen itu berdasarkan hasil observasi ditemukan bahwa mahasiswa membutuhkan sumber belajar yang meningkatkan hasil belajarnya. Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan mahasiswa berupa sumber belajar pada mata kuliah endokrinologi. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan berdasarkan tahapan pertama dari model ADDIE yaitu Analisis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif.Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Biologi. Sampel dipilih bagi yang pemintaan Kesehatan.Kuesioner diberikan kepada mahasiswa yang telah mengambil mata kuliah endokrinologi dan dosen endokrinologi. Hasil analisis angket dosen dan mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memerlukan bahan ajar tambahan berupa e-modul berbasis penelitian yang memuat contoh-contoh kontekstual. Hal ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa Biologi belum memiliki bahan ajar e-modul berbasis penelitian yang memuat contoh konkrit/kontekstual, sehingga perlu dikembangkan sumber belajar berupa e-modul.
