Abstract

The result of community service on the socialization of Humans as Homo Digital to class XII students of Ikarasi High School through the introduction of the Corel Draw application is an increase in students' technological skills in graphic design. This activity involves training and practice in using the Corel Draw application to create creative and attractive graphic designs. In this activity, students learn about how to use the Corel Draw application to create quality graphic designs. They also learn about techniques and strategies in creating attractive graphic designs as well as how to use digital technology wisely and effectively. The result of this activity is students who have technological skills in creating graphic designs, as well as understanding how digital technology can improve the quality of their work. In addition, this activity also increases students' awareness of the risks and potential negative impacts of unwise use of digital technology, such as addiction, social isolation, and mental health disorders. In conclusion, the community service activity on the socialization of "Humans as Digital Homo" to class XII students of Ikarasi High School through the introduction of Corel Draw application is an effective way to improve students' technological skills in graphic design, as well as increase their awareness about the wise and effective use of digital technology. This can provide benefits for students in improving the quality of their work and preparing them to live and work in the digital era.

Abstract

Simple bookkeeping training activities in the avocado-based chips business are activities carried out to empower the community with existing natural resources in the form of avocados. Thus, existing resources can be made into an MSME product that aims to strengthen the economy of the community. This activity is included in one of the activities of Unwira KKNT-PPM students from the Accounting Study Program. The training aims to help PKK mothers in managing finances and bookkeeping records for the avocado chips business they run. The method used in this training is the delivery of theory and hands-on practice by teaching basic bookkeeping techniques. The result of this training is the increased ability of PKK women in managing finances, make more organized and transparent financial reports, and being able to better monitor the development of their avocado chip business. It is hoped that with this training, the avocado chips business in RT 10 Soe Village can develop and provide benefits to the surrounding community.

Abstract

This paper focuses on the reading training program for students of SD Kristen Petra Alak conducted by participants of the Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 3. The purpose of this training is to improve students' reading skills through reading. This training is expected to provide positive benefits for students in developing their reading skills. The method used in this reading training is to use creative and interactive methods such as storytelling, singing, and role-playing. Learners are also given reading materials that are suitable for their grade level, namely, grade 2 to grade 4. Of the 25 learners who participated in the reading training program, the average reading ability was 57% with a sufficient category. The teacher's response to the implementation of the reading training program was 83% with the Satisfied category while the response of Petra Alak Christian Elementary School students to the implementation of the reading training program was 82% with the Satisfied category. The results of this activity show that effective reading training strategies can help learners improve their reading skills this can be seen from the good responses given.

Abstract

KKN is a form of implementation of the dharma of service that provides work and learning experience for students in community empowerment. One form of activity in the KKN program is training activities to master scales for students of Class X SMA N Benlutu through pianika playing exercises. This activity aims to make students know how to operate the pianika musical instrument. The stages of service implementation began with observation, core activities of introducing the pianika instrument and documentation. Based on the results of observations and interviews, one of the factors causing the low ability to play the pianika instrument is the absence of a music teacher so that the art subject teacher teaches music. In addition, the lack of teacher knowledge about music learning is because teachers are more dominant in providing information than implementing learning through practice or training. The results of this training showed an improvement in the participants' ability to master scales in music. The participants also showed a greater love and interest in music, as well as a passion to continue learning and developing their skills in music. This training activity is expected to be one of the efforts to increase interest and achievement in music, especially among SMA N Benlutu students

Abstract

The activity of socializing the habit of saving from an early age is one effort to improve the awareness and financial capabilities of children. Saving is an important activity that needs to be learned from an early age in order to form good habits in financial management in the future. However, there are still shortcomings in the process of learning to save among children, especially at an early age. Therefore, the socialization activity of saving from an early age for 1st and 2nd-grade elementary school students was carried out with the aim of providing understanding and knowledge about saving to students. This activity was conducted through lectures and simulation of saving using piggy banks. Students are expected to understand the concept of saving and the benefits that can be obtained from the activity. The survey results showed that most students understand the meaning and benefits of saving and feel that the activity of socializing saving from an early age is beneficial. In addition, the teachers and school principals gave positive responses to the activity. Recommendations are given to carry out similar activities regularly every year to help improve the awareness and financial capabilities of students in the future. The activity of socializing the habit of saving from an early age for 1st and 2nd-grade elementary school students is expected to help change the mindset and behavior of students regarding financial management so that good saving habits are formed from an early age.

Abstract

Biochar is a carbon material that can be produced from burning biomass. In general, East Nusa Tenggara is rich in untapped biomass. Understanding of the importance of biomass is still in the low category. Therefore, this Community Service activity was carried out to introduce and teach the process of making biochar and its application in Oel'ekam Village, Central Mollo sub-district, South Central Timor district, East Nusa Tenggara. This activity involved 27 participants from 3 farmer groups, namely the Olif Tataf farmer group (Oel'ekam hamlet); the Oemathonis farmer group (Oehala hamlet); and the Tafena Kuan Farmer's Group (Oel'ekam hamlet) as well as the head of the PKK team in Oel'ekam village and several of its members. The activity began with guidance and training on making biochar using coir and dried coconut shells using the kiln drum modification method (simple pyrolysis), followed by demonstration plots (demonstration plots) using a vermiculture system in the village office environment. The results showed that the participants understood the process of making biochar and its application to viticulture cropping systems as indicated by the observed crop yields after 10 days of activity. Thus, there is a need for continuous assistance for a wider cropping system on farmers' land.

Abstract

The goals of treatment are to protect and restore health and maintain and improve quality of life. Therefore, the community needs access to affordable and good quality medicines so that the cost of treatment is more affordable economically, without reducing the quality or quality of the drugs. The problem is that currently there are not many people who are interested in generic drugs because they think that low drug prices are synonymous with low drug quality. This community service activity aims to provide education to the public about the differences between generic drugs and patented drugs which in turn encourages people to use generic drugs to reduce medical costs. The educational method used is through the distribution of brochures at 25 K24 pharmacy outlets in the Yogyakarta area. The results of this activity received a very good response from the pharmacy because they felt it helped in providing this information. The community's acceptance of this activity is also very good so that the education process can also be carried out directly to patients while at the pharmacy

Abstract

Ecological supportability can be accomplished assuming the local area is answerable for the neatness and magnificence of the general climate. The household should be the first place in society to handle waste management. Waste management is a very important job for housewives. The interview and outreach method was used to carry out community service activities with 21 PKH beneficiary housewives, 11 of whom were unaware of the significance of waste management. so that housewives benefit greatly from this activity in terms of their knowledge of waste management, waste sorting, waste processing for fertilizer use, and plastic waste submission to the Garbage Bank

Abstract

The Mitra Tani Farmer Group is a farmer group in Paranda Village, Wula Waijelu District, East Sumba Regency. Agricultural activities carried out often have problems with plant pests (OPT). The existence of problems regarding OPT can be controlled by using pesticides, one of which is vegetable pesticides. The results of the community service activities showed that the members of the Mitra Tani farmer group finally learned about some local ingredients that could be used as organic pesticides. Local materials that can be used as organic pesticides include gamal leaves, tai kabala leaves (kirinyuh/ Chromolaena odorata L.), anona leaves, neem leaves, papaya leaves, yam iwi (gadung tuber), and soursop leaves. The members are also active in community service and learning activities and play an active role in making organic pesticides.

Abstract

Financial literacy is still the homework of all parties, including financial institutions and authorities. Seeing the scope of financial literacy, namely regarding the understanding of features, benefits, risks, and obligations related to financial products and services, efforts to increase public understanding still need to be socialized. Moreover, financial literacy also measures the correct level of skills, attitudes, and behavior in using financial products and services. Looking at various cases, financial institutions and authorities are still inferior to the ways in which financial criminals offer their services to the public. Efforts to improve financial literacy are also the responsibility of academics from universities. On that basis, this community service activity which is part of the Independent Learning Campus program (MBKM) was carried out for the people of Bola Bulu Village. The method used is empowerment and capacity building through several stages, namely engagement, assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The results of the program show that this activity was enthusiastically participated in by the community and was considered very beneficial for them because it has given them a clear understanding to be wise and careful in conducting financial transactions online, be it in the form of arisan or fraudulent investments, online shopping, and loans.
