Abstract

The progress of information systems in the education sector is so developed that it requires to carry out academic activities online. To implement and facilitate the acceleration of higher education, the University of Peradaban as the organizer of higher education in the Bumiayu Subdistrict of Brebes Regency, currently does not have an information system that is integrated with academic information systems (SIA), therefore an information system needs analysis. The Togaf Framework is a framework that can see problems and the development of a comprehensive information system. The goal is to build a model Eneterprise Resource Planing academic information system to support the strategy of developing academic information systems as needed at the University of Peradaban. The type of research used is qualitative research that is explorative, which is to look deeply into the needs of users in applying academic information systems at the University of Peradaban. Analysis of the planner's scope, SIA is designed to manage Lecturer data, Student data, class schedules, Card Management Study Plan, Study Card processing and management of value transcripts and alumni data management. System development consists of three parts, namely a system that can be used by academic administrative staff, lecturers and can be used by students. SIA is designed to provide speed and convenience in managing data and academic development for the competitiveness of universities.

Abstract

Letter of Assignment is something that can’t be separated in the management of University. A lecturer works on a specific task based on the assignment letter he receives from either the Department Leader or the University Leader. In the Department this matter is handled by the Department Administrator who handles the operations of the Department daily. If this is still handled manually, of course it will bother the Department Administrator. Especially when Department Administrator workload is high causing human error to occur. Web-based Letter of Assignment Information System is the solution to this problem. This system is developed to facilitate the operation of the Department. Besides documents that are already in digital form make it easy in terms of storage and distribution. So that both the Department Administrator and the Lecturer can access the assignment letter from wherever he is as long as there is still an internet connection. This system was developed using the Waterfall Model method which is one of the classic and most popular methods in software development. Research conducted based on qulitative analysis of primary and secondary data sources with methods of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The implementation of this system is succeeded to facilitate operations in the Department so that the Department Administrator can work more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

PT. Schneider Electric is leading the Digital Transformation of Energy Management and Automation in Homes, Buildings, Data Centers, Infrastructure and Industries. PT. Schneider is one of the companies that applies the technology applied to the work process, one of the Debug Manager systems, which is a system used to reject items in the line area, but it still has weakness in inputting product data when it read by users with a small text its make debug manager or LI (Line Inspector) often entered the wrong data, and there is no procedure that allows the debugging process of items that refuse to do research on the existing system. The research conducted at PT. Schneider Electric Manufacturing Batam was conducted to repair the Debug Manager system in PT. Schneider, this research was conducted with the waterfall method starting with conducting interviews with the operator or LI (Line Inspector) Debug Manager then proceeding with the application design (Design) which is then implemented, verified until maintenance is carried out. Reject Management Application based on android, which is an application that scans QR code on labels, and text that uses products on a smartphone or tablet and can also give debugging technicians notification. The debugging process can be done well.

Abstract

Harvani Hotel has 5 (five) floors, where each floor has 1 (one) Access Point (AP). All Access Points, servers and several Personal Computers (PCs) are connected to the RB 750r2 microtic router which is connected directly to the Internet Service Provider (ISP) so that all users are connected to the internet network. The problem that occurs is the uneven distribution of bandwidth so that the first user connected to the internet will get more bandwidth with the highest internet access speed. This causes interference to other users who feel the speed of internet access is very slow, which results in user inconvenience in using internet access. Therefore, bandwidth management is done in this research uses the action research method, where the prototype is focused on 5 Access Points by using ISP that provide bandwidth services of 2.5 Mbps and shared equally among 5 Access Points. From the testing results using the speedtest known that every AP only get the throughput between 100 - 400 kbps. This is providing that the bandwidth used of every AP does not expand 512 kbps and the bandwidth distribution of every AP has been ordered to remove the existence of user interest.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process on campus is always supervised by paying attention to attendance. Some campuses use this attendance as a condition for taking the exam. However, the attendance system is still manual, which is by using a signature on the attendance sheet. This system has several weaknesses which include the occurrence of fraudulent attendance, difficulty in monitoring attendance, and data that cannot be presented quickly. The study proposes an attendance system using fingerprints connected to wireless networks that are already available on campus. Wireless networks are used as a medium of communication between attendance tools and database servers. The use of wireless networks aims to facilitate equipment used in classrooms during the lecture process. Attendance tool designed on a single Raspberry Pi computer board that is equipped with fingerprint sensors, power banks and LCD screens. While wireless LAN devices are integrated in the Raspberry Pi boar. The attendance system begins with an enroll process to save the lecturer and student fingerprint templates. Each template is given an ID to be stored on the database server using TCP wireless and protocol networks. The enroll process observations require an average time of 4 seconds which consists of: transmission time and time identification of fingerprint characteristics to the creation of fingerprint templates. The attendance process in lecture activities begins with the absence of lecturers and is followed by students. The average time needed to do attendance is 4 seconds. During the data attendance process can transmit between the attendance device (client) and server. Through a fingerprint-based attendance device based on the available wireless network infrastructure in the campus, it can improve the efficiency of attendance monitoring in real time.

Abstract

STIS Polytechnic of Statistics (PS-STIS) is an institutional unit with high work complexity and density. In carrying out its personnel activities, there is no support system that can be used by employees to store and process knowledge related to their work. This may indirectly lead to ineffective and inefficient work in term of costs, time, and other resources. Job-related knowledge is stored in accordance with the decisions of each employee. When needed, knowledge acquisition becomes slow and knowledge is also prone to be scattered or even lost. In this study, we will discuss about design and development of knowledge management system within the scope of PS-STIS. The focus of this research is related to the integration of the system functions to be able to perform knowledge storage, collaboration, and retrieval. The web-based system built applies the basic principles of Knowledge Management System (KMS). it has pages and permissions in accordance with the interests and responsibilities of users. In this research, we used SDLC development method to build the system and evaluated it using blackbox testing method and Survey Usability Scale (SUS). Result of blackbox testing showed that all function performed like expected and SUS score of 74 showed that system built was acceptable to users.

Abstract

A diesel company that currently has three business segments: marine engines, industrial machinery and industrial generating sets. For the wider public, this diesel company is very popular in marine engines and is a world-leading innovation, such as Aquamatic drives and counter-rotating propellers, Duoprop. This diesel company is able to create high-tech products and support the global market of industries, such as diesel-operated generators, cranes and container handlers. This company has seen good business prospects for the company in the future. For the East Asia region, the head office uses Singapore to manage business operations including as warehouse area, sales and marketing activities. The more rapid competition becomes the impact of competitors, the first problem identified in this study will be mapping application planning to support the needs of existing corporate governance through enterprise architecture planning. The method used to plan the entire system will use archimate modeling, included are business, application and technology layer which will produce modeling order fulfillment applications. In this problem, the focus will be on application development factors that can help optimize business process problems such as: inputting data activities, competencies and responsibilities, time, constraints and technical documentation, standards applied, reports produced for various decision-making processes, internal communication and external, and other resources. These problems can enable the implementation of enterprise architecture methods into the company by using and managing data into enterprise architecture analysis and project planning for marketing strategies, corporate architectural analysis patterns are expected to overcome the company's problems.

Abstract

Computer forensic science is a relatively new science and not even widely known among the public. Unlike the real world, crime in the world of computers and the internet has so many variations, one of which is forgery or spam email, where spam e-mail can be a means of transporting malicious content on a network. The problem that arises at this time is that very little research is conducted in the case of forensic investigations in the face of crime in the cyber world, especially in the spam e-mail. The method used is observation of literature, in this case in the form of original articles that analyze about crimes that use email, including the flow and tools used. The results obtained in this article review are that each investigation and tools approach has advantages and disadvantages of each, so that users can adjust to their needs.

Abstract

Metrojaya Komputer is a business engaged in buying and selling, the purchasing process often has difficulty in determining how much stock of goods must be purchased for the future period, because it has not used forecasting methods. Forecasting is a forecasting that requires the retrieval of historical data to be processed in order to produce a decision on what predictions are needed for the next period. The purpose of this research is to simplify and accelerate forecasting using the weighted moving average (WMA) approach through the development of information technology based systems. The data needed in forecasting is the previous period data, whether the previous month's data or the previous year, then processed using forecasting equation. Forecasting can be processed based on data from the previous three periods or based on a certain period to produce the required stock of goods. The system development method used is the waterfall method which consists of several stages of communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment. This study produces a forecasting information system with a weighted moving average (WMA) approach that can be processed using an information technology based system so that it makes it easier and faster in making decisions regarding the stock of goods needed in sales.

Abstract

In the era of technology 4.0, the use of the internet is very quickly followed by the development of increasingly complex supporting devices, each activity of devices that are connected or disconnected in the network will send or issue messages that will affect the devices around them because each device has a different role on the network . Messages issued by the device must be considered, especially by network administrators. In general, the message is stored locally in the memory or drive of the device, it will be very dangerous if the device is turned off so the message is lost. or messages sent over the network to a centralized server. One technology that can be used to collect messages is the Dude application through a virtual private network, EoIP Tunnel. From the results of research that has been done, it can be said that system messages (syslog) from computer network devices both internet or intranet using the dude server can be implemented and are very safe because all activities that occur on switches are manageable, access points and routers on campus will be stored. When problems occur regarding network connections, syslog on the dude server can be opened using wordpad or similar applications. Virtual tunnel network, EoIP Tunnel can be configured on MikroTik routers by network administrators, so that syslog can be sent and entered into the dude server. EoIP tunnel development can be used or running simultaneously with OSPF routing.
