Abstract

This research aims to explain the efforts made by Miftahul Ulum Islamic Middle School to improve students' digital literacy and information technology skills. Digital literacy and information technology skills have become an important need in today's digital era, where information technology plays a key role in daily life and the development of the world of education. This research uses a qualitative approach with interviews and observation as data collection methods. The research results show that Miftahul Ulum Islamic Middle School has implemented various strategies to improve students' digital literacy and information technology skills. One of the strategies adopted is the integration of technology in the curriculum, where each subject uses technology as a learning tool. Apart from that, the school has also provided extensive internet access and adequate information technology devices for students. Apart from that, Miftahul Ulum Islamic Middle School has also held regular information technology skills training for teachers and students. This helps teachers to understand the technology used in learning and teach students more effectively. Students also receive training to master software and applica relevant to the curriculum. In order to increase digital literacy, this school also places emphasis on media literacy and information literacy. Abstract

The development of textbooks is one of the main factors in successful learning. This Islamic-based English textbook has the distinctive characteristics of contextual and Islamic-based material which is equipped with 4 aspects of language skills. This research aims to develop an Islamic-based English textbook and examine the validity and attractiveness of the textbook being developed. The research method used is research and development using the Borg & Gall design. The results of this research show that the development of English textbooks has good qualifications, as evidenced by the results of validation by material experts with a percentage of 80%, design experts with a percentage of 92%, and class teachers with a percentage of 94%. Textbooks have a high level of attractiveness as evidenced by the results of interviews and questionnaires with students with a percentage of 90.04%, so textbooks have fulfilled aspects of development & needs in the learning implementation process.

Abstract

. This study aims to explore the process of student character building through extracurricular programs at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sunan Ampel II Maron Kulon using a qualitative approach focusing on the role of the mentor teacher and its impact on student character development, especially in the aspects of ethics, social responsibility, and leadership. The research method involved in-depth interviews with supervising teachers, participatory observation in extracurricular activities, and document analysis related to extracurricular programs and the values instilled. The results showed that the extracurricular program at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sunan Ampel II Maron Kulon has a significant role in student character building. Supervising teachers play a key role in guiding students in developing values such as honesty, cooperation, and social care through extracurricular activities. In addition, it was identified that students' participation in extracurricular programs strengthens these values through direct experience and practical learning. This research underscores the importance of integrating character education in extracurricular activities as an effective means of shaping student character at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sunan Ampel II Maron Kulon.

Abstract

To prepare students to be able to apply mathematics and mathematical thinking patterns in everyday life and in studying various sciences at school, the difficulties in understanding mathematics subject matter experienced by students, especially in elementary schools, need to be addressed immediately. This research aims to analyze the difficulties experienced by grade 3 students at MI Izzul Islam. This research is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach, the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data validation techniques use technical triangulation, source triangulation and time triangulation. The research was carried out in class 3 at MI Izzul Islam, Kamalkuning Village, Krejengan District, Probolinggo Regency. The results of the research show that mathematics is a subject that is considered difficult by the majority of grade 3 students at MI Izzul Islam, especially regarding the operations of multiplication and division. This is caused by various factors originating from internal and external factors.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah depends heavily on the professional competence of teachers who teach at this level. This article aims to examine the role of teachers' professional competencies in improving the quality of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah through a comprehensive literature review. The research analyzes various aspects of professional competence, including pedagogical understanding, mastery of materials, classroom management skills and adaptability to curriculum changes and educational technology. The results showed that strong professional competencies contribute significantly to the effectiveness of teaching and learning and create a conducive learning environment for students. In addition, it was found that continuous training and development programs are essential in strengthening teachers' competencies, which in turn improves the quality of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This article recommends increased support for teachers' professional competence development as a key strategy to achieve higher education standards in madrasahs.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an innovative learning model in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program using qualitative methods. This innovative learning model is expected to improve teaching effectiveness and the quality of education for prospective madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers. The research involved in-depth interviews with lecturers and students, as well as observation of learning practices in the study program. The results of this study show that the implementation of an innovative learning model that includes the use of educational technology, project-based learning methods, and active learning approaches can have a positive impact in improving student engagement and learning outcomes. The model also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between lecturers and students as well as the integration of character values in the learning process. The findings of this study are expected to be a reference for curriculum development and learning strategies in the madrasah ibtidaiyah teacher education study program and contribute to improving the quality of education in the institution.

Abstract

. The Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Professionalism Development Strategy is a systematic effort to improve the quality and competence of teachers at the Islamic primary school level. This research examines the various approaches and methods used to strengthen teachers' pedagogical abilities, content knowledge and managerial skills. The approaches analyzed include continuous training, curriculum development, mentoring and the use of educational technology. The results show that effective strategies involve teachers' active participation in professional development programs, support from educational institutions and supportive policies from the government. Teacher professional development not only improves teaching quality and student learning outcomes but also contributes to improving the overall quality of education in madrasah ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This research explores the contribution of character education in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teacher education curriculum and its impact on the quality of education in these institutions. Character education is an important component in shaping students' morals and attitudes in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, which is an educational institution that integrates aspects of general science and religion. This article uses the literature review method to examine various studies and related sources that discuss the implementation of character education in the teacher education curriculum. The results show that the integration of character education in the teacher education curriculum not only enriches teachers' pedagogical competencies but also enhances their ability to shape students' positive character. Effective character education helps teachers in developing teaching methods that not only focus on academic aspects, but also on shaping students' moral and social values. However, challenges such as lack of adequate training and limited resources often hinder optimal implementation. This study recommends the need for strengthening character education training for prospective teachers, as well as providing better support from education institutions, to ensure that character education can be effectively implemented in the curriculum and have a significant positive impact on the quality of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This research explores the integration of character education in the teacher education curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and its impact on the quality of education at the institution. Character education, which includes the formation of moral and social values, is a crucial component in the education process in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, an institution that combines aspects of general science with religious teachings. This article uses the literature review method to analyze recent studies, policies and best practices related to the implementation of character education in the teacher education curriculum. The findings of this study show that the integration of character education in the curriculum not only enriches teachers' pedagogical competencies but also strengthens their ability to shape students' positive character. Well-integrated character education allows teachers to develop holistic teaching methods, covering academic, moral and social aspects. However, effective implementation still faces various challenges, including a lack of adequate training, limited resources and inconsistent institutional support. This article recommends the need for increased specific training on character education for prospective teachers as well as strengthened support from educational institutions to ensure that character education can be effectively integrated in the curriculum. Thus, successful integration is expected to have a significant positive impact on the quality of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and contribute to the formation of a young generation that is not only academically intelligent but also virtuous.

Abstract

This research explores the application of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning model in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah as an innovative strategy to improve the quality of education and 21st century skills. The STEAM model is adapted to integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics with religious values and characters relevant to the context of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Through this approach, the study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of STEAM in developing critical thinking, creativity and collaboration skills among students, as well as analyzing its impact on the understanding of academic concepts and character building. The results are expected to provide new insights on how to optimize the curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah to prepare students for global challenges by integrating discipline-based learning and moral values.
