Abstract

Abstrak Telah dilakukan isolasi kitin dari cangkang kepiting laut (Portunus pelagicus Linn.) yang digunakan sebagai fasa padat dalam Adsorpsi kompleks tris(1,10-fenantrolin)besi(II). Optimasi berat kitin dan penentuan eluen yang sesuai telah dipelajari dalam penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan recovery kompleks yang optimum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spektra Inframerah dari kitin hasil isolasi memberikan bilangan gelombang yang hampir sama dengan kitin standar. Penentuan kadar abu, kadar nitrogen dan kadar karbon serta derajat deasetilasi dari hasil analisis kitin hasil isolasi memberikan hasil yang memenuhi syarat kitin standar. Berat kitin optimum untuk adsorpsi kompleks [Fe(phen)3]2+ 0,4 ppm adalah 0,2 g yang memberikan % recovery sekitar 55,56% dan eluen yang sesuai adalah campuran etanol : HCl (6 : 4, v/v). Kata Kunci: Isolasi kitin, Adsorpsi, Besi, 1,10-fenantrolin dan Eluen. Abstrack The isolated crab shell chitin from the sea crab (Portunus pelagicus Linn.) for solid-phase extraction  [Fe(1,10-phenantroline)3]2+complex based. The weight optimized of chitin and searched of eluent were compatible. The result showed that infrared spectra of the isolated chitin has similar characteristic absorption with that of the standard chitin. The measurement of ash contents, nitrogen contents, and carbon contents and de-acetylated degrees from analysis result of the isolated chitin up to the standard chitin. The weight optimized of chitin used for solid-phase extraction of 0.4 ppm trace(1.10-phenanthroline)iron(II) complex are 0.2 g with % recovery 55,56% and the eluent compatible are the mixed ethanol: HCl (6:4, v/v).   Keywords: Chitin isolation, Adsorption, Iron, 1,10-phenantroline and Eluent.

Abstract

Two flavanoid compounds, catechin (1) and epicatechin (2), have been isolated from the stembark of Chisocheton pentandrus. The chemical structure of compounds1and2were identified byspectroscopic data including, UV, IR, NMR (1H, 13C, DEPT 135°, HMQC, HMBC, 1H-1H COSY) and MS and by comparing with previously reported spectral data. Compounds 1 and 2, were isolated in this plant for first time and showed no cytotoxic activity against MCF-7 breast cancer cells.

Abstract

Telah dilaporkan hasil penelitian untuk mengetahui aktivitas antidiabetes setiap fraksi dalam ekstrak etil asetat daun pandan wangi (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) secara in vitro menggunakan metode α-glukosidase. Ekstrak dibuat dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etil asetat dan pemisahan komponen kimia dengan kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT). Hasil KLT dengan fase gerak n-heksan:etil asetat (3:1) dan penambahan 3 tetes asam asetat glasial menghasilkan lima fraksi dengan Rf masing-masing sebesar 0,20; 0,30; 0,55; 0,60; dan 0,70. Fraksi 2 memiliki aktivitas antidiabetes tertinggi dengan nilai IC50 relatif 77,57 ppm.

Abstract

Esterification is the reaction of the formation of an ester compound by reacting an alcohol compound and carboxylic acid. In this study, the performance of zeolite-based catalysts has been studied for esterification reactions. Modification of zeolite pore size was done to be hierarchical zeolite, with the aim of increasing the catalytic properties of zeolite. The modification was carried out by desilication by sodium hydroxide treatment with a variation of 0.1; 0.3; 0.5 M. The resulting catalyst was then characterized using BET and XRD. Furthermore, the catalyst was tested for activity for esterification of fatty acids and glycerol and the product was analyzed using GC-MS. Zeolite modification with sodium hydroxide has been proven to improve catalyst performance, without changing their crystal structure. The best catalytic activity was obtained on the catalyst with sodium hydroxide treatment of 0.3 M, resulting glycerol conversion of 92% and selectivity to monoglycerides of 74%.

Abstract

Biosolubilisasi batubara adalah teknologi yang memiliki potensi untuk mengubah batubara padatmenjadi bahan bakar cair/senyawa kimia dengan bantuan mikroorganisme. Tujuan dari penelitianini adalah untuk mengkarakterisasi produk biosolubilisasi batubara oleh kapang T4 hasil isolasidari tanah di area pertambangan batubara Tanjung Enim Sumatera Selatan. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa terjadi interaksi antara kapang T4 dengan batubara yang dilihat dari adanyakolonisasi miselia di permukaan batubara. Kadar asam humat mengalami peningkatan hingga harike-7, sedangkan kadar asam fulvat terus meningkat hingga hari ke-28. Analisa gugus fungsibatubara hasil biosolubilisasi dengan FTIR memperlihatkan terjadinya perubahan strukturbatubara yang didominasi oleh penurunan serapan C=C aromatic dan C-O fenolik.. Karakterisasiproduk biosolubilisasi batubara oleh kapang T4 dengan GC-MS menunjukkan terbentuknyasenyawa-senyawa baru dan senyawa yang mengalami peningkatan antara lain naftalena dansenyawa alkana rantai pendek.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan sekam padi sebagai penyerap ion logam tembaga dan timbal dalam air limbah telah dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode statis (batch). Penentuan kondisi optimum meliputi massa adsorben, pH, konsentrasi adsorbat dan lama pemanasan. Hasil analisis menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (AAS) menunjukkan efisiensi penyerapan tertinggi pada air limbah multikomponen mencapai 99.38% untuk ion logam Pb. Analisis air limbah laboratorium kimia UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, menunjukkan penyerapan tertinggi mencapai 78.57% untuk ion logam Cu. Kata kunci : sekam padi, adsorben ion logaam timbal, adsorben ion logam tembaga, air limbah   Abstract This research aims to  rice huskas absorbent of copper and lead metalions in the waste water. The method used is a static method (batch). Determination of optimum conditions includes adsorbent mass, pH, absorbate concentration and duration of heating. The analysis using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) showed the highest absorption efficiency of Pb metal ion in multicomponent wastewater reached 99,38%. The analysis of wastewater from chemistry laboratorium UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta showed, the highest absorption of Cu metal ion was 78,57%. Abstract

The use of waste of kepok banana’s peel to adsorb lead(II) metal ion was done. Peel of kepok banana was activated by using nitric acid before used as adsorbent. The optimum time needed by kepok banana’s peel to adsorp lrad(II) metal was 45 minutes with adsorbed metal was 41.779%. Adsorption kinetics of lead(II) at kepok banana’s peel follows kinetic model of Ho pseudo second with the value of R2 is 0.997 and k was 0.063 minutes-1. Isothermal adsorptions from lead(II) on kepok banana’s peel follows Freundlich adsorption model with R2 was 0.893 and capacity of adsorption was 54.752 mg/gram.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektifitas biokompos, rumput gajah dan kelompok mikroba yang efektif dalam bioremediasi lahan tercemar minyak bumi yang dilakukan dalam skala laboratorium, dan bahan tambahan yang digunakan urea sebagai sumber nitrogen. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan rasio C/N yaitu 15, 10, dan 5. Parameter uji yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi optimal yang dicapai pada remediasi terdiri atas pH, kadar air, kadar abu, dan kemampuan ikat air/water holding capacity (WHC). Hasilnya menunjukan degradasi TPH (Total Petroleum Hidrokarbon) sebesar 91,15% dengan komposisi medium (100 g berat kering lumpur minyak bumi, 100 g berat kering biokompos, 9 g urea, rasio C/N = 5) menggunakan perlakuan dari kombinasi rumput gajah, mikroorganisme, urea dan biokompos selama 35 hari. Faktor lingkungan yang menghasilkan kondisi optimal ini dicapai pada remediasi diperoleh melalui kondisi awal pH 8,25; kadar air 49,97%; WHC 101,64%; dan kadar abu 63,76% dan kondisi akhir pH 6,25; kadar air 55,04%; kadar abu 73,39%; dan WHC 124,11%. Penambahan kompos dan urea dapat meningkatkan efisiensi degradasi TPH dan diperoleh hubungan positif antara jumlah penambahan kompos dan urea terhadap tingkat degradasi TPH. Abstract

Palem putri (Veitchia merillii) is a kinds of Araceae plant which has been used by the community in cure myopic eyes and for woman who have pregnant. However, research on the content of secondary metabolites and bioactivity of palm putri has never been done. This study aims to determine the phytochemical content, total polyphenols and flavonoids and bioactivity include antioxidant activity DPPH free radical scavenging, antidiabetic method alpha-glucosidase enzyme inhibition and toxicity of the methods Bhrine Shrimp Lethal Test (BSLT). Palem putri contains secondary metabolites, alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, polyphenols, phenolic hydroquinone and saponins. The methanol extract of palm putri seed has a total polyphenol content and total flavonoids respectively 642.8 mg gallic acid / gram sample extract and quercetin 543.3 mg / gram sample extract, has a very strong antioxidant activity with IC50 value of  0.82 ppm, the level of toxicity is very toxic with LC50 values ​​of 11.535 ppm.
