Abstract

This study aims to determine the best concentration of atonic PGR to increase the quantity and quality of longan fruit. People's doubts about the quality of locally produced longan fruit as a substitute for imported fruit must be answered immediately by presenting domestically produced longan fruit that has fruit characteristics that suit consumer tastes and with better quality. The role of the auxin hormone on fruit growth and development is to increase fruit volume. One of the biostimulants that can be used as growth regulators is atonik. This research was carried out in Pancakarya Village, Ajung District, Jember Regency which was carried out from January 2022 to March 2022 with an altitude of 50 m above sea level. This study used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), with 6 different spraying treatments, repeated 4 times, the number of research objects 24. The treatments studied were atonic concentrations, namely: L0 = Control, L1 = Concentration of 20 ppm, L2 = Concentration of 30 ppm , L3 = Concentration of 40 ppm, L4 = Concentration of 50 ppm, L5 = Concentration of 60 ppm. The data collected was analyzed for variance (Anova), if it was significantly different, then proceed with the BNT test at the 5% level. In determining the fruit to be sprayed using a random system. The results showed that the concentration of atonic PGR in all treatments gave no significant difference, but the concentration of atonic PGR in treatment L2 (30 ppm) gave optimal results for the vertical diameter of the fruit, the horizontal diameter of the fruit, the sugar content of the fruit, and the resistance of the fruit bunches.

Abstract

California papaya (Carica papaya L.) is one type of papaya that is very popular with many people because it tastes sweet and nutritious. The height of this papaya tree is somewhat dwarfed by 1.5-2 m with a short stem and midrib. This plant can bear heavy fruit up to 25-30 fruit, the application of a combination of phonska fertilizer, sp-36 and KCl on papaya plants seeks to increase productivity and growth in fruit, the average sweetness of papaya fruit reaches 10.1-12 Briks are very sweet and of course rich in protein. This research was conducted in Pancakarya Village, Ajung District, Jember Regency from December 2021 to March 2022. The study used a factorial pattern with a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 3 x 3 repetitions with 3 replications. Factor I The branching biology model of the California papaya plant consists of: d1b1, d1b2, d1b3, d2b1, d2b2, d2b3, d3b1, d3b2, d3b3. With information (d) namely dose, (b) stem and interaction (db). The application of fertilizer once a week, a combination of phonska, sp-36 and KCl gave no significant effect on the observed parameters of plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), canopy increase rate (cm), percentage of productive segments (%) but not with the observation that the percentage of normal fruit has a very different effect, in fact the application of a mixture of phonska, sp-36 and KCl fertilizers affects the sweetness level of california papaya fruit.

Abstract

Beans are a type of legume that has important nutritional value for healt and has the potential to be developed, both in the lowlands and highlands. Beans contain 2.4 g protein, 0.2 g fat, 7.7 g carbohydrates, as a source of calories and 6.5 g calcium, 4.4 g phosphorus, 1.1 g iron, 630 mg vitamin A, vitamins B1 0.08 mg, vitamin B2 0.01, vitamin B3 0.7 mg, vitamin C 1.90 mg,  calories 35 cal and water content 89 grams which greatly affect the quality of public health (Waluyo and Djuriah, 2013). This research was conducted from December 2021 to February 2022, in Pancakarya Village, Ajung District, Jember Regency, East Java. This study used a factorial pattern consisting of two factors with three replications in a randomized block design (RAK). The first factor is type of fertilizer (P) which consists of no fertilizer (P0), NPK fertilizer (P1), and complete fertilizer (P2). The second factor is intensity (I), which consists of PSB once a week (I1) and PSB twice a week (I2). The combination of fertilization consists of PSB Bacterial Culture + NPK Fertilizer and a combination of PSB Bacterial Culture + Complete Fertilizer. The collected data were analyzed by means of variance (Anova), if significantly different, then followed by BNT’s test of 5%. The result showed that the type of fertilizer (P) dan Intensity (I) treatments on the appearance of flowers, number of branches, and fruit weight.

This study aims to determine the concentration of nutrients AB mix liquid biological fertilizer combination will affect the growth and production of three varieties of mustard hydroponic DFT system. This research was conducted at Bedadung Indah AA8 Housing, Jl. Teuku Umar, Tegal Besar Village, Kaliwates District, Jember Regency, which will be held from January 1, 2022 to February 23, 2022 at an altitude of ±89 meters above sea level. This research was conducted using a factorial 2 x 3 Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 replications. The first factor is nutrition (N) consisting of two levels of treatment, nutrient concentration AB mix 1000 ppm (N1) and nutrient concentration AB mix 1000 ppm combination of liquid biological fertilizer 2 ml/lt water (N2). The second factor was variety (V) which consisted of three levels of treatment, Pagoda mustard (V1), mustard green (V2) and mustard kailan (V3). The data obtained were then analyzed by uij F using the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 26 software for Windows, the significantly different results were further tested with Duncan at a level of 0.05. The results showed that the nutrient concentration of AB mix 1000 ppm with a combination of 2 ml/lt water (N2) liquid biological fertilizer gave the best response to the number of leaves and the fresh weight of mustard greens.. The interaction of nutrient concentration of AB mix and its combination with liquid biological fertilizer (N) and variety treatment (V) was not significantly different on the growth and production of three hydroponic mustard varieties using the DFT system.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research carried out at the Experimental Garden in Pancakarya Village, Ajung District, Jember Regency with a height ranging from 50 meters above sea level. To describe and find out the facts or events that will be examined or research conducted to make it easier for researchers to obtain objective data. This research used 27 honey gourd plants cultivated by Siti Masruroh's sister. Observations were made from June to August 2022. Observations were made using variables that were analyzed descriptively, namely: the number of branching, the appearance of male and female flowers, the presence of flowers and fruits in the plant structure, the percentage of flowers turning into fruit, the percentage of fruit until harvest. Observations were made when the honey gourd plants entered the generative phase, around 18 days after planting until harvest. Supporting observations were carried out on types of pests and diseases, as well as pearl NPK fertilizer analysis. The results of the study stated that the composition of NPK 1:2:3 (K3) had a good effect on the number of branches, the appearance of male and female flowers, the presence of fruit in plant structure, and the percentage of flowers turning into fruit. And the pattern of generative growth of honey gourd with various compositions of NPK fertilizer produces optimal results and is in line with the success of vegetative propagation of honey gourd seedlings.

Abstract

Hybrid honey gourd is an exclusive commodity because of its fruit shape, appearance, nutritional content, benefits and also the high price. Cultivation of hybrid honey gourd is not too difficult, one of the problems is the procurement of expensive seeds. This can be overcome by vegetative propagation using adventitious shoots which are usually removed. In research, innovations emerged to stimulate adventitious shoots to be successfully developed for vegetative propagation. This study aims to obtain a hybrid honey pumpkin vegetative propagation method, to describe the growth and development of honey pumpkin seeds from vegetative propagation. The design used was a factorial 3x3 randomized block design (RAK) with 3 replications. The first factor is the internode position of the shoot (D) which consists of three segments (D1); four segments(D2); five segments (D3). The second factor is a stimulant (S) consisting of 6 grams of pearl NPK fertilizer per one liter of water combined with 1.5 ml atonic atonic (S1); 3 ml (S2); 4.5 ml (S3). In total there were 9 treatments, namely D1S1, D1S2, D1S3, D2S1, D2S2, D2S3, D3S1, D3S2, D3S3. The collected data were analyzed by analysis of variance and F-test if significantly different, followed by the DMRT 5% test. Inter-unit parameters in one individual (section length) were analyzed by student's t-test.

Abstract

Drone sprayer was an innovation used for effective and efficient pesticide application. Research on its effectiveness and efficiency for golden snail pest control was still limited. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness and efficiency of drone sprayers and knapsack sprayers using molluscicides with the active ingredient Niclosamide 250 g/l, concentration of 3 ml/liter, dose of 500 liters/ha. against the population, the intensity of the golden snail attack. and yields and working time of the sprayer. The research was conducted in Balung Lor Village, Balung District, Jember Regency from August to October 2022. Data analysis on the effectiveness of the sprayer used the Mann-Whitney test. Population correlation with attack intensity, attack intensity correlation with harvested dry grain weight using Spearman correlation. The efficiency of the sprayer uses the Working Time equation according to Andremico. The results showed that the population of golden snails treated by the drone sprayer (2.30 ± 0.95) individuals per clump was lower than the knapsack sprayer population (2.96 ± 0.67) individuals per clump; attack intensity (10.96 ± 3.51)% lower than the knapsack sprayer (12.60 ± 2.93)%. The yields of the two treatments were not significantly different. Weight of grain harvested by Drone sprayer (53.54 ± 12.76) gram per clump, knapsack sprayer (53.90 ± 12.07) gram per clump. Drone sprayer working time efficiency was 0.17 hours/ha; knapsack sprayer was 11.57 hours/ha.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the content of bioactive compounds in soursop leaf bioinsecticides and their effect on the diversity of arthropods in rice. This research began from July to October 2022 at the Plant Protection Laboratory and Bioscience Laboratory of the Jember State Polytechnic and Rice Cultivation Land in Balung Lor Village, Balung District, Jember Regency. Arthropod samples were observed visually using Sweep Net Trap, Yellow Pan Trap, Sticky Trap and Pitfall Trap. The GCMS test results detected 29 compounds in soursop leaves.   The highest compounds as repellent and antifeedant detected were palmitic acid, oleic acid and acetic acid at 18.39%, 17.40%, 13.83%. The result of probit analysis of LC95 toxicity was 28.92%. The number of individuals in the bioinsecticide treatment was 2036 individuals, 32 species consisting of: 10 herbivores,   13 predators, 3 parasitoids, 4 pollinators, and 3 detrivores. Fipronil numbered 1198 individuals, 26 species consisting of: 10 herbivores, 10 predators, 2 parasitoids,  3 pollinators, and 1 detrivore. Diversity index (H`) shows moderate category in both treatments, dominance index (C`) does not show dominance in both treatments, species richness index (R) in both treatments is moderate, species evenness index (E) is evenly distributed in both treatments and Sorensen   The Similarity Index (ISS) is classified as the same with a value of 89.66%. The yield of dry grain in the soursop leaf bioinsecticide treatment was higher (38.25 g per clump) than Fipronil 33.29 gr per clump.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the application of photosynthetic bacteria with chemical fertilizers on the productivity of cayenne pepper. The research was conducted in Pancakarya Village, Ajung District, Jember Regency from September to December 2022 with an altitude of 50 meters above sea level. This study used a non factoria randomized block design (RAK) with six treatments and four replications for a total of twenty four plants. The treatments observed were P0 = control; P1 = 5 ml/L PSB; P2 = 5 ml/L PSB and 2 g NPKCaMg fertilizers (16:16;16:6:0,5); P3 = 5 ml/L PSB and 2 g NPKSCaMg fertilizers (20:4:4:18:1:1); P4 = 5 ml/L PSB and 2 g NPKSCaMg fertilizers (17:12:12:6:4:2); P5 = 5 ml/L PSB and 2 g NPKSCaMg fertilizers (20:30:23:2:3:2). The results showed that the administration of a single application of photosynthetic bacteria did not have a significant effect on all observed parameters. The application of 5 ml/L PSB and 2 g NPKSCaMg fertilizers (20:4:4:18:1:1) had the best effect on stem diameter (7,63 mm), fruit weight planted (52,7 g) and number of fruit planted (25,5 fruit). Give a significant effect on the increase in fruit diameter (12,2 mm) from the control plant (8,1 mm).
