Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding for newborns up to 6 months of age without being given additional food or other drinks including water, formula milk or other foods, except medicines and vitamins. One of the efforts to reduce infant and child morbidity and mortality, the United Nation Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) recommend that breast milk (ASI) should be given to babies for at least six months without solid or mixed foods. Based on the results of the survey conducted, Posyandu in Dukoh Tambih Village have never been given lactation management training, one of which is exclusive breastfeeding counseling. Based on information from the midwife, there are still some babies aged 0-6 months who are still given breast milk and formula milk. Therefore it is necessary to make an effort to increase the awareness and knowledge of mothers in the village of Dukoh Tambih about lactation management. The method used in this community service is to collect data on mothers who have babies aged 0-24 months. Then do a time contract for 2 meetings. The first meeting is counseling about exclusive breastfeeding and the correct way of breastfeeding. Meanwhile, the second meeting was a demonstration of proper breastfeeding and breast care. During this activity, the participants were very enthusiastic about the material presented and during the demonstration. Some participants have also been able to demonstrate proper breastfeeding and breast care

Abstract

The low level of public awareness in breaking the chain of the spread of Covid-19 in Jeddung Village is of particular concern in community service programs. Based on the problem analysis, the community service program focuses on the following: 1) Little Marlena agent of change training, 2) Marlena Cadre Workshop, 3) village mini-workshop and formation of healthy compok, and 4) the practice of hand washing movements, and the use of good and correct masks via audio visual. There are three methods used, namely the educational method, the socialization method, and program evaluation. Data collection techniques in this service using interview techniques, questionnaires, and documentation. The impact of this service program shows that, forming agents of change from school-age children to increase public awareness of Covid-19 prevention will run optimally if a direct approach to the community is carried out by the local government and the village government. The results of a survey evaluation regarding public awareness of the prevention of Covid-19 in Jeddung Village showed a poor response to the aspects of frequent hand washing and using a hand sanitizer. However, the people of Jeddung Village have realized to wear masks if they want to travel, it's just that when their sick conditions are less aware of wearing masks.

Abstract

The phenomenon that occurs at this time, was found some during the first stage of the active phase, many mothers who gave birth experience severe pain. so the mother chose caesarean section even without a clear indication of normal delivery. Non-pharmacological efforts to reduce pain are by providing effleurage massage therapy with lavender aromatherapy and bonapace method therapy. This technical collaboration is very good, so we are interested in doing community service. Community service is carried out by providing counseling then teaching mothers and families as well as midwives the effleurage technique with lavender aroma therapy and bonapace method therapy techniques. What is expected that mothers who give birth will not experience severe labor pain so that mothers who give birth choose normal delivery rather than cesarean delivery.

Abstract

The cause of the emergence of nutritional problems in children under five is influenced by many interrelated factors. It is directly influenced by several things, namely the child does not get enough nutritious food at the age of five, the child does not get adequate nutritional care and the child suffers from an infectious disease. One of the causes of malnutrition is that babies do not receive full breast milk until the first 6 months of age. The method used to carry out community service is by collecting data on the number of breastfeeding mothers in Mlajah Bangkalan. The targets of this program are all breastfeeding mothers in Mlajah Bangkalan and one of their closest people (husband or parent). Health workers will be assisted or accompanied by cadres to run the ASI class program. As is well known, the role of the closest family is very important in providing motivation to breastfeeding mothers. Not only families, midwife assistants, namely cadres are also involved in providing education. During the process of the ASI Class activities program, which consists of a cadre formation program, counseling, giving lactation medians, and the entire program runs smoothly. All preparations have been made by the team, the village youth organization and the village midwives involved. The drawbacks that may occur in the implementation of the ASI Class program are the activities of the ASI Class program in conjunction with the daily activities of mothers so that there are several programs that must be rescheduled.

Abstract

Personal hygiene comes from the Greek, derived from the word 'personal' which means individual and 'hygiene' which means healthy. Personal hygiene is an action to maintain the cleanliness and health of a person for both physical and psychological well-being. Types of personal hygiene include skin, foot, hand and nail hygiene, hair care, oral and dental care, eye, ear and nose care. The purpose of personal hygiene care is to improve one's health status, maintain one's personal hygiene, improve personal hygiene that is lacking, prevent disease, increase one's self-confidence and create beauty. One disease that is quite closely related to personal hygiene is worms and fungal infections (mycosis). In rural communities where the majority of the population work as farmers who are directly in close contact with the soil which is the breeding medium for STH, of course, personal hygiene is very necessary so that they are not easily infected with STH. Another thing that needs to be considered is the environmental conditions in the community in the village, namely the distance between the house and the stables for livestock such as cows which are very close together. The close distance between the house and the livestock cage also has the potential to transmit parasites if the livestock feces are not cleaned regularly. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to conduct counseling on personal hygiene and environmental sanitation in the community as well as identify the presence of worm infection in nail samples in villagers which on this occasion will take place in Tragah District. There were 26 participants identified with STH infection and 14 participants not identified with STH infection

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are responsible for at least 70% of deaths in the world. Although it cannot be transmitted from person to person or from animal to person, weak control of risk factors can lead to an increase in cases every year. Nationally, the results of Riskesdas 2018 show that the prevalence of the population with high blood pressure is 34.11%. The prevalence of high blood pressure in women (36.85%) is higher than that of men (31.34%). The prevalence in urban areas is slightly higher (34.43%) compared to rural areas (33.72%). Prevalence increases with age. This screening activity aims to determine blood pressure, blood glucose levels, uric acid and cholesterol in the people of Nambo sub-district. The measurement results showed that most of the people who participated in this screening activity experienced hypertension and only a small portion had high levels of glucose, uric acid and cholesterol.

Abstract

Stigma is a relational and social process in which negative characteristics are associated with groups/individuals based on prejudice which leads to discriminatory behavior (identifies as being different or undesirable). Stigma plays a role in forming a bad image in mental disorders. The stigma of mental illness causes the person experiencing it to lose self-esteem, prevents them from seeking medical help, and prevents them from getting opportunities such as job opportunities and opportunities to live independently and safely. If the stigma about mental disorders is still developing among the general public and health workers, it will prevent people with mental disorders from getting help. The purpose of this community service activity through the Stigma Reduction Webinar for People with Mental Disorders is to provide education and health campaigns that can reduce stigma against people with mental disorders. Through this service activity, the community is expected to know the impact of stigma and change the negative perception of people with mental disorders.

Abstract

The number of ventilators in Indonesia is considered insufficient, encouraging a number of private institutions and educational institutions to create many ventilator innovations, but there are still many ventilator prototypes that have not passed the BPFK testing. This study aims to identify the factors that cause the prototype has not passed BPFK testing and determine strategies that can be applied by BPFK Surabaya and socialize them. The method used to analyze the problem and its solution is fishbone diagram, USG, and SWOT analysis, while in evaluating the understanding of the participants in the socialization, pretest and posttest were used which were analyzed using paired t-test. The results showed that the main factor causing the problem was that the specification guidelines used were still general in nature and had not fully paid attention to the patient safety aspect, so the aggressive strategy developed was to create new specification guidelines. The results of the evaluation data analysis using the t-test showed that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant increase in knowledge after the socialization of the new specification guidelines.
