Abstract

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a frequent occurrence in hospitals and it was reported that 37% of inpatients at RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo were fitted with urinary catheters and 38% of them experienced UTI. Frequency of urinary catheter care could potentially affect the incidence of UTI. This study aims to determine the relationship between the frequency of urinary catheter care and the incidence of urinary tract infection (UTI) in the KH Ahmad Dahlan Room of RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. This research method is quantitative with a correlational design using a Cross Sectional approach. The study population was all inpatients in the KH Ahmad Dahlan Room at RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo in September - October 2023 totaling 484 patients with an average of 242 people / month. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the research sample being a portion of inpatients with catheters installed, totaling 30 respondents. Data collection using Check List. Data analysis techniques using Chi-Square. The results of this study showed that of the 30 respondents, most of the 28 respondents (93.33%) with the frequency of urinary catheter care were irregular (not every day) and most of the 29 respondents (96.67%) experienced the incidence of urinary tract infections (UTI). The results of the Chi-Square statistical test obtained a p-value obtained of 0.095> 0.05 so as not to reject H0 which means there is no significant relationship between the frequency of urinary catheter care and the incidence of urinary tract infection (UTI).

Abstract

The nursing management information system (SIMKEP) is a software package created to facilitate the nursing management process to improve performance and be able to formulate strategic policies including efficiency from within (organisation, management and HR) and must be able to quickly and make appropriate decisions to improve services to the community so that it can become a responsive, innovative, effective, efficient, profitable organisation that is also responsive to developments in science and technology, including information technology. This study aims to determine whether the creation of a website-based nursing management information system application model can improve the nurse credentialing/re-credentialing process and increase the determination of nurse training needs. The method in this research is a mixed studies review or mixed methods review, which combines literature study methods using secondary data from previous research which are published journals, which are by the criteria set by the research, namely the inclusion criteria and systematic exclusion and searches using online databases accompanied by interviews with participants. This article and journal explain that the application model or design of a website-based nursing management information system can improve the credentialing process and determine nurse training needs. The conclusion in writing this Literature Review is that applying a website-based nursing management information system can improve the credentialing process and determine nurse training needs.

Abstract

The impact of disasters is considered more concerning for elementary school-age children, as they are unable to rescue themselves at such a young age. It is highly meaningful for elementary school-age children to have an understanding of disaster mitigation. This study aims to determine the knowledge of school children regarding the mitigation of Mount Kelud's disaster in a highly prone disaster zone. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a population of 112 students and a sample size of 60 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was done using a questionnaire consisting of 15 questions that were validated, with a calculated value of r > r table, which is 0.602, and the reliability test result of Cronbach's alpha greater than 0.600. This research was conducted in March 2023 at SDN 02 Penataran. The research results show that the respondents' knowledge of disaster mitigation is 33.3% categorized as good, 45% as sufficient, and 21.6% as lacking. Meanwhile, knowledge in the pre-disaster phase is 31.6% good, 46.7% sufficient, and 21.6% lacking. Knowledge during a disaster is 33.3% good, 48.3% sufficient, and 18.3% lacking, while knowledge after a disaster is 26.6% good, 31.6% sufficient, and 41.6% lacking. It can be concluded that the majority of knowledge regarding disaster mitigation falls under the sufficient category, accounting for 45% with an age range of 10-13 years, and children obtain information about disaster mitigation from their families and social media. It is recommended that educational institutions incorporate disaster mitigation learning into the school curriculum to deepen students' understanding of this matter

Herniotomyis a surgery performed to free the hernia sac up to the neck, so that adhesions do not occur and then it is repositioned. The hernia sac is stitched, tied as high as possible and then cut. The patient will always experience pain after surgery on day 1. Deep breathing and massage relaxation techniques are one of the non-pharmacological pain management methods to reduce pain. this research aims todetermine the effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques and massage on reducing the pain scale in herniotomy patients. This research uses a literature review by searching articles on the Google Scholar electronic database. Several articles were found in the Google Scholar search database, but only 8 articles met all the inclusion criteria and were reviewed. Results: pain in post-operative patients often occurs, there are many non-pharmacological techniques to treat pain, one of which is the deep breathing technique. Conclusion: The conclusion of the 8 journals studied is that deep breathing relaxation therapy is very influential in reducing pain intensity in postoperative patients if done correctly and continuously.

Abstract

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a specific term for a cardiovascular disease characterized by narrowing coronary artery tissue mainly due to atherosclerosis that causes microangiopathy. CHD patients in the treatment, in addition to receiving treatment, also receive rehabilitation to help speed up the recovery from physical, psychological, and social conditions. The rehabilitation program should be given since admission to the hospital, known as phase I of Cardiac Rehabilitation. One of the components of phase I of Cardiac Rehabilitation is a physical activity aimed at speeding up the recovery of the patient's condition to return to regular activities. This study aims to determine the relationship between cardiac phase I rehabilitation for the length of patient care for CHD in Mardi Waluyo Hospital Blitar City. This study used a quasi-experimental design with the post-test only non-equivalent group. The sample in this study consisted of 14 respondents from the intervention group and 14 patients for the control group respondents who were diagnosed with CHD in Mardi Waluyo Hospital, Blitar City, matching the specified inclusion criteria. The results showed a significant correlation between heart phase I rehabilitation on the duration of care (p-value = 0.007). The statistical test used a bivariate correlation test with the Mann-Whitney Test. This result yielded that it needs to be given early on to CHD patients as it can help the healing process and shorten hospitalization. Furthermore, the shorter length of care will further save the operational costs of CHD patient care.

Abstract

The impact that often arises after spinal anesthesia in post-cesarean section patients is shivering which is characterized by fasciculations of the skeletal muscles in the face, head, jaw, trunk or extremities that last more than 15 seconds. The incidence of post-anesthesia shivering in patients undergoing spinal anesthesia reaches 33-56.7%. Giving hot packs has been proven to be effective in treating hypothermia in post-cesarean section patients. Heat therapy using hot packs will restore body temperature quickly. This study aims to identify the effect of giving hot packs with shivering. The research design was pretest posttest control group design with 32 respondents, consisting of 16 treatment groups and 16 control groups taken by accidental sampling. This research was conducted in January 2020 in the High Care Unit Room, Aminah Islamic Hospital, Blitar. The results of this study showed that the administration of shivering scale hot packs in the treatment group decreased significantly to 0 while the control group experienced a less significant decrease in the shivering scale, namely to 1. Statistical test This study used Mann Whitney with a p-value of 0.000. This means that giving hot packs has an effect on shivering in post sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia. Hot packs can be used asalternative therapy to reduce shivering in post sectio caesarea patients with spinal anesthesia
