Abstract

Improper handling of children with febrile seizures has an impact on the occurrence of recurrent febrile seizures or complications can occur. Several factors influence a person's knowledge, namely the provision of health education. Supporting media is important in delivering health education. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of health education on the level of mother's knowledge about the cruel treatment of fever in toddlers. The research design was (one-group pre-post test design). The number of samples in this study were 54 mothers who came to Posyandu Dahlia, Kerjen Village. This research was conducted on May 10, 2023. The research instrument used SAP, animated videos and pre-test questionnaires. The results of this study show that based on the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical test at the pretest and post-test a p-value of 0.000 or <0.05, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that there is an influence in providing health education using animated videos on the level of mother's knowledge about handling febrile seizures in toddlers. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as material for evaluation and information in supporting Pediatric Nursing regarding the management of damam seizures in toddlers. Keywords: Knowledge, media, febrile seizure

Abstract

Pain is known as the main symptom of Osteoarthritis (OA) which affect on the functional impairment and patient’s quality of life. Alternatively, isometric quadriceps exercise and walking exercise could be employed to reduce the pain among knee OA patients. This study aimed to identify the comparison between walking exercise and isometric quadriceps exercise on pain and joint range of motion in knee osteoarthritis patients. This research was used quasi-experimental with non equivalent control group before–after design. The experimental and control group, involved 17respondents respectively with consecutive sampling technique. The results showed the walking exercise is significantly reduce pain and increase knee flexion range of motion (p 0.000). Similarly, the isometric quadriceps exercise is significantly decrease pain and increase knee flexion range of motion (p 0.000). Nevertheless, after being compared showed that walking exercise is no more effective reduce pain and increase knee flexion range of motion rather than isometric quadriceps exercise in knee osteoarthritis patients. A standard operational procedure for walking exercise and isometric quadriceps exercise is programmed.

Abstract

Babies are golden periods because in this period the babies will experience very significant. One of the influences on a baby's growth and development is providing nutrients to the baby appropriately according to his age, one of which is a complementary food. The purpose study was to determine the relationship between maternal behavior in early breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhea in infants, in addition to identify mothers' breastfeeding behavior, the type of complementary food given, and the incidence of diarrhea in early breastfeeding. The method used a Traditional Study Review design and used the keywords "mother's behavior," "early complementary food," and "Baby diarrhea." This review study used a population of Infants 0-6 months. Exposure to Maternal Behavior in Early Breastfeeding, Outcome Incidence of Diarrhea, and Design Study Journal Articles used a cross-sectional design approach, analytical correlation, and analytical observational survey. Results showed a relationship between mothers' behavior in early breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhea in infants. Mothers giving complementary food for less than six months were caused by factors such as low maternal knowledge and skills, which refer to the mother's low level of education. Medical personnel must be more active in counseling parents, especially mothers who have babies, about early complementary food to minimize the incidence of diarrhea in babies.

Abstract

There are quite a lot of hypertension sufferers in middle age in society and are easy to detect. Controlling hypertension requires lifelong medication and non-pharmacological measures. To reduce the side effects of treatment, non-pharmacological measures are needed, namely effleurage back massage and slow deep breathing. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of effleurage back massage and slow deep breathing on vital signs, oxygen saturation, and anxiety in primary hypertension sufferers aged 45 - 54 years. The method in this research uses a quasi–experimental design with a non-randomized pretest–posttest control group design approach. The sample for this study was primary hypertension sufferers aged 45 - 54 years who received routine treatment at the Health UPTD in the Blitar City area, totaling 101 sufferers (51 in the treatment group, 50 in the control group). Inclusion criteria for patients were having systolic blood pressure of 140 – 180 mmHg and diastolic 90 – 100 mmHg, receiving a maximum of 2 standard antihypertensive treatments and not smoking. Analysis used descriptive and t-tests. The results of this study showed that after effleurage back massage and slow deep breathing, there was a decrease in systolic blood pressure of 16.37 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure of 10.39 mmHg, pulse of 3.53 times/minute and respiration of 0.73 times per minute. Effleurage back massage and slow deep breathing are effective if done regularly and require a massage break after the sixth appointment.

Abstract

The long healing of post sectio caesarea wounds has an impact on patients and their families. In addition to the additional burdensome costs, patients can experience trauma due to the wound healing process that lasts a long time.Hemoglobin is the main component that transports oxygen and nutrients needed for the wound healing process. This study aims to analyze the effect of hemoglobin levels on the healing process of post sectio caesarea wounds at Aminah Hospital Blitar. The research design uses a case control approach samples were taken using consecutive sampling techniques with research inclusion criteria of 89 respondents.Data on hemoglobin levels were taken from secondary data on preoperative hemoglobin levels of patients in medical record documents and data on the process of wound healing seen from the results of one-time observation when the patient controls the obstetric polyclinic between day 7 to day 10 post sectio caesarea.Data were analyzed using a simple linear regression test. The results showed that 62.9% of respondents had normal hemoglobin levels and 79.77% of respondents showed good wound healing processes. The results of the statistical test analysis showed a p value of 0.000 which was smaller than α of 0.05 with an R-square of 0.196.This means that there is an effect of hemoglobin levels on the wound healing process post sectio caesarea. So it is expected that pregnant women and their families pay attention to the value of hemoglobin levels during pregnancy and after delivery to ensure health and wound healing post sectio caesarea. Keywords:hemoglobin, wound, post sectio caesarea
