Abstract

One of the business fields that remains consistent and developing in the national economy, one of which is Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). With the rise of business growth, market competition is getting tougher. So that this situation forces business actors to optimize productivity and marketing strategies. Information technology is currently one of the potentials that of course can be utilized by MSMEs to be able to increase the marketing productivity of their business. Digital marketing is one of the information technologies that is currently developing rapidly, namely by utilizing technology and social media which are considered very potential in encouraging the development of MSMEs. Observations in several areas in Langkat Regency, namely in the Subdistrict, were carried out to observe the increase in business since the pandemic, this program aims to increase the profit income of MSMEs. The MSME Product Digitalization Program needs to be socialized to provide knowledge for the community in the Langkat Regency area, precisely in Babalan District about the benefits of digitalization of MSME Products which aims to provide knowledge to the public about digital marketing in order to increase profits for MSME business people, this program is a solution when profits from MSME business owners decline after being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Province of North Sumatra has tremendous potential of tourism. This tourism object can be enjoyed by tourists, both local and foreign. Some of the attractions of North Sumatra that can be visited are Lake Toba, Samosir Island, Sibolga Beach, Berastagi and Bahorok which is located in Langkat Regency. Another tourist destination included in the Gunung Leuser National Park area is Tangkahan. Tangkahan has a unique selling point because it is a habitat for Sumatran elephants. Another choice of place that is no less interesting and can be enjoyed by the beauty of the environment is the ecotourism of Batu Katak which is located in Batu Katak Hamlet, Batujongjong Village, Bahorok District, Langkat. In the tourism sector, two factor: benefits and satisfaction of tourist are related to Tourism Resource and Tourist Service. Tourist objects and attractions are everything that exists in a tourist destination area that has its own charm and is able to invite tourists to visit. To increase the number of local and foreign tourists in North Sumatra, the government of North Sumatra continues making more improvements to facilities of tourism destinations, including the development of human resources. Other infrastructure matters that are not yet complete are rest areas, clean toilets, prayer rooms, halal cuisine, and area pointers (maps, signs, and so on). The purpose of this research is to design public infrastructure that is needed for the development of eco-tourism Batu Frog. The infrastructure includes toilets, tourist interpretation boards, hand washing (sanitation) places, trash cans, and road/way signs. The infrastructure created must meet the requirements of Clean Health Safety Environmental Sustainability (CHSE). With this infrastructure, it is expected to provide better services for tourists so that the number of visits in North Sumatra continues to increase. The success of eco-tourism development in Batu Katak is also expected to increase the income and welfare of the surrounding community. The specific objectives of this research are 1) Designing environmentally friendly supporting infrastructure as an effort to improve services to tourists who meet CHSE requirements, and 2) Making Detailed Engineering Design (DED) or bestek of toilets, tourist interpretation boards, hand washing places. , trash cans and directional/road signs. The stages that will be carried out in this research are problem identification, setting research objectives, literature and field studies conducted by interview and direct observation. The next stage is data processing and designing the initial design proposal.

Abstract

North Pelawi Village is one of the villages located in Babalan District, Langkat Regency. Independent enterprises that make tofu are micro, small and medium enterprises that are still active in carrying out activities to produce a tofu product using vinegar at a relatively low cost. The impact of using vinegar for the manufacture of tofu, where the liquid waste can cause environmental pollution because the water flowing in the sewers has a very strong smell, especially if the volume of liquid waste is large, of course it will make people restless and disturb the surrounding environment and the effect of vinegar can cause stomach acid which can bring disease on our bodies. The implementation of the activities is carried out by theoretical and lecture methods (socialization) and the implementation method in which the above student activities are accompanied by DPL lecturers to help the community of North Pelawi Village. The results of the KKN-T activities related to tofu making are carried out through socialization in which it is hoped that the next tofu production must be switched from the use of vinegar to the use of nigarin sea water with the consequence of avoiding environmental pollution and avoiding the tendency of stomach acid and avoiding the tendency of stomach acid. The socialization activity of making tofu has benefits, namely it can increase public knowledge.

Abstract

Qur'an is the guide of Muslims in the world and is obliged for Muslims to learn to read the Qur'an properly and correctly in accordance with the rules of tajwid science. Students should have read the Qur'an since childhood because there are so many who cannot read the Qur'an. The ability to read the Qur'an is very important for Muslims, because it is a guide for their lives. South Pelawi Village is a partner village of UISU which is known as an area where almost 90% of the people are Muslims. However, there are still many people, both children and adults, who do not understand and are fluent in reading the Qur'an. One of the learnings of reading the Qur'an is the IQRO method, the IQRO method is a method of reading the Qur'an that emphasizes directly on reading practice. As for the Iqra guidebook consisting of 6 Volumes starting from a simple level, step by step to a perfect level, this method is very suitable to be applied for early childhood (children aged 3 years).  This service activity is one of the derivatives of the 2022 UISU KKNT work program which will be held on July 12 – August 19, 2022. This activity was carried out as many as 12 meetings from July 18 to August 10, 2022. From the activities that have been carried out, it was found that residents learned to experience an increase in the ability to read and write the Qur'an. This proves the effectiveness of the IQRO method used in the eradication of Qur'anic illiteracy. Because only with approximately 1 month with an effective period of learning 12 meetings, 87% have fluently read the Qur'an. Only 13% of citizens are learning that has not been smooth.

Abstract

Economic growth in Indonesia is influenced by various factors, one of which is the involvement of UMKM. In accordance with the 1945 Constitution article 33 paragraph 4, UMKM are part of the national economy with an independent perspective and have great potential to improve people's welfare. The parties responsible for developing and fostering UMKM are the Government, Business Entities and the community, including Universities. Empowerment of UMKM through the provision of mentoring facilities and strengthening assistance aims to grow and improve the capabilities and competitiveness of these UMKM. One of the Terasi entrepreneurs in Pulau Kampai Village who has been producing terasi for more than 10 years, has marketed his products to various regions in North Sumatra and Aceh as well as other areas. The large demand for terasi  produced makes it unable to supply. This is because the existing machines are used today are small capacity. Therefore, the UISU Faculty of Engineering has provided assistance in the form of terasi processing machine with a larger capacity. It is hoped that with the use of this assistance machine, its production capacity will increase while at the same time being able to meet the ever-increasing demand.

Abstract

Community Service in 2021 will be carried out in Padang Cermin Village, Finish District, Langkat Regency. In this community service program, we carry out many work programs, one of which is mentoring learning for children in Pasar II Hamlet, Padang Cermin Village. Learning mentoring activities through tutoring are the process of providing assistance or assistance to individuals or groups by one or more supervisors who have expertise in the field in making choices, , adjustments and solving learning problems related to changes in behavior as a result of experience, training or education. Stimulation. Learning assistance through tutoring activities can improve through appropriate group guidance services. To increase student motivation in addition to learning guidance to motivate, it is necessary to have mental guidance by providing positive motivation. Giving rewards seems to make a good contribution. Rewards given are not always in the form of goods but can be in the form of praise or positive consequences. Tutoring institutions outside of school are an alternative for students to get material that has not been taught in school. The decision to include children in courses or tutoring institutions is the right decision for children. There they can gain knowledge that was not taught by teachers at school. However, not all children can take lessons or tutoring. This happened in the children's neighborhood in Pasar II Hamlet, Padang Cermin Village, Finished Subdistrict, which was far from the urban center and because of the high cost of tutoring. By seeing these obstacles, it makes the lecturers and students of STKIP Budidaya Binjai feel called to do service in the area. This community service activity is a means of conveying the usefulness of knowledge and a sense of concern for lecturers and students towards the community in the field of education in the form of assistance through tutoring activities at home or at the post. The purpose of this activity is to improve academic achievement and student motivation.

Abstract

Suka Ramai Village as an area rich in natural resource potential including agricultural resources, especially horticulture and livestock. The problem faced by the community in the agricultural sector is the lack of skills on procedures for increasing agricultural products. For these problems, the solution is to conduct training and community assistance in the application of integrated crop farming technology and the introduction of organic fertilizers. Organic fertilizers play a role in increasing plant fertility. The quality and composition of organic fertilizers varies depending on the basic ingredients of the compost and the manufacturing process. The use of organic fertilizers has been applied in organic farming cultivation systems and rice/palawijaya crop systems

Abstract

Fertilizer is one of the important inputs in increasing the productivity of food crops, so that its existence and utilization has a strategic position. One of the policies in the procurement of fertilizers is fertilizer subsidies. Fertilizer subsidies have long been implemented with various policies that follow it, such as policies on fertilizer procurement, distribution of fertilizers and supervision of subsidized fertilizers. The problem faced is that local people do not know which are subsidized and non-subsidized fertilizers. So that with this extension, the Kepala Sungai community can find out the type and method of obtaining the fertilizer. This PKM activity has added insight from the local community in knowing which fertilizers are subsidized and non-subsidized, although there are some things that still need to be improved for the progress of agriculture in the future. In Indonesia, the distribution of fertilizer subsidies is currently still constrained. These deviations include incomplete RDKK data collection, distribution of subsidized fertilizers to unauthorized parties, lack of distribution volume that causes a shortage of fertilizers, procurement and distribution of subsidized fertilizers by the fertilizer industry, obstacles in calculating fertilizer subsidies, and supervision of subsidized fertilizer distribution. Most of the deviations in the implementation of subsidized fertilizer program policies occur at the retailer, distributor and producer level as well as the weak mechanism for monitoring the implementation of subsidized fertilizers. Aspects of transparency and information disclosure in the implementation chain of the subsidized fertilizer policy program are also still weak. The strategy for distributing or distributing subsidized fertilizers in Indonesia can be implemented through several distribution alternatives.

Abstract

North Pelawi Village has the problem of not controlling elementary school children in using smartphones. Smartphone which is a smart phone whose existence is now important because its available features make it easier for users to carry out daily activities. With a smartphone, you can easily get information from all over the world. smartphones have both positive and negative impacts on education and health. Smartphones can cause addiction that has the same symptoms as addiction to other psychoactive substances. Cell phones or smartphones can emit microwaves in the form of radio waves. Microwaves can affect hormones and neurotransmitters. Smartphone addicts can cause withdrawal syndrome. This can have an impact on education. method used to prevent the impact of this Smartphone is Providing Education to Students in Elementary Schools in North Pelawi Village about the impact of Smartphones on Education and Health, and Provide education on how to wisely use Smartphones as Learning Media and as a result, students have understood the impacts that occur in education and in health, can know the benefits of smartphones as learning media and can hone their own potential.

Abstract

The community service carried out is located in Penen Village, sub-district. Sibiru-Biru, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the community through counseling and assistance in processing and managing shredded catfish as well as creating real business opportunities in Penen village in the future. That the added value generated from the processing of shredded catfish is Rp. 32,000 per kilogram. The share of labor in the shredded processing agroindustry is 21.28%. The profit earned is IDR 47,000/Kg with a profit rate of 46.81%.
