Abstract

Madrasah atau sekolah Islam memainkan peranan penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat Muslim India sekarang ini. Tidak ada angka pasti perihal jumlah madrasah di India, tetapi diperkirakan jumlahnya beberapa ribu buah. Kebanyakan di antaranya adalah sekadar sekolah-masjid (maktab), tempat anak-anak Muslim diajar membaca dan menghapal al-Qur’an, belajar bahasa Urdu, dan dasar-dasar keimanan. Ada juga beberapa madrasah yang besar, yang menjalin aliansi dengan beberapa yang lebih kecil. Sejumlah madrasah ini telah dan senantiasa memberikan pengaruh penting terhadap kaum Muslim di negara-negara lain, khususnya di Asia Selatan. Lalu bagaimanakah reformasi madrasah India, tentang bagaimana kebutuhan akan reformasi diutarakan oleh kaum Muslim di India sekarang ini, baik oleh ulama maupun yang lainnya? Apakah dasar-dasar reformasi ini, dan harus seperti apakah reformasi tersebut berjalan? Lalu benarkah ada kaitan antara sejumlah madrasah di India dengan gerakan Islam radikal?Madrasah atau sekolah Islam memainkan peranan penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat Muslim India sekarang ini. Lalu bagaimanakah reformasi madrasah India, tentang bagaimana kebutuhan akan reformasi diutarakan oleh kaum Muslim di India sekarang ini, baik oleh ulama maupun yang lainnya? Apakah dasar-dasar reformasi ini, dan harus seperti apakah reformasi tersebut berjalan? Lalu benarkah ada kaitan antara sejumlah madrasah di India dengan gerakan Islam radikal? Kata Kunci: madrasah, India, reformasi, dan gerakan Islam radikal.

Abstract

Islam is a religion that has prophetic mission, namely rahmatan lil ‘alamin, blessing to universe. To realize this mission, Islamic education must able to produce outputs that have inclusive character, pluralist, and appreciative to pluralism. Pluralism in Islam not only normatively supported by religious texts, but also on praxis-empiric level. Islam also has practiced life orientation that reflected religious plurality. Therefore, on global scale, acknowledgment to religious plurality became essential and significant matter. To realize this, it’s urgently needed wisdom to suppress emotional and radical attitude on everyday life.

Abstract

If we notice Undang-undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 14 Tahun 2005 about Teacher and Lecturer, and Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 19 Tahun 2005 about National Standard of education, we realize that it’s a chance for PTAIN (State Islamic Higher Education) to strengthen its position, politically or socially. Here, role of alumni, academician, and Department of Religion officer that in charge of education, is to build plan and concrete action using all potential and involved every institution related. With this fine planning and cooperation of every institution, solution about Islamic education will be found.

Abstract

A nation’s reality showing cultural diversity, directed us to grasp multiculturalism principle. In this principle, there’s consciousness that nation is not singular, but plural, consist of many different components. Historical realities showing that Indonesian nation stand in midst cultural diversity. We can call Indonesia as most complete plural country in the world, beside America. In America, we know et pluribus unum slogan, resemble with bhineka tunggal ika, literally stand for many but one. Latest condition showed that cultural diversity became source of conflict between nations-components. Multidimensional crisis suffered by Indonesian nation still not ending yet. Therefore, we need explicit and clear action and step to maintain society’s attitude to care, respect, and understand cultural diversity values that become fundament of this nation and state. One of its steps is make cultural pluralism as educational strategy at school

Abstract

The substance of education is learning activity. The key of education successfulness is correlation and interaction between teacher and headmaster as top level leader at school. The ability or competence of school leader (headmaster) to develop teacher spirit or other employee is depending on character and ways shown to them. Its mean that good manner and how to treat other team-member has significant effect to his success to implement leadership at school. Education leader, at every level—headmaster, vice, teacher or other official—must able to play role as EMASLIM; namely educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator.

Abstract

To carry out evaluation comprehensively, we need appropriate instrument that suitable with domain that being evaluated. Evaluation instrument development with test has been conducted by experts. These instruments were only suitable to measure cognitive domain and part of psychomotor domain. To measure affective domain, we need to develop non-test evaluation instrument (alternative test). The development of this instrument tends to more difficult and complicated compare with instrument test evaluation instrument. Therefore, it does necessitate a through study to derive and elaborate affective domain to specific aspect to develop valid and reliable instrument.

Abstract

The process of education must apply with “Learning Process Skill”, not “Learning Concept”. Process approach marked with student centered curricula, not teacher centered. Role of teacher is as facilitator, mediator, dynamizing, organizing, and catalyst to apply “dialog” as spirit of education process. Critical education model is an education that independent from internal-institutional fetter, social hegemony, or structured to maintain political and economical stability. These happen in the length of our national history, then produce tame-weak human accorded to system condition. Whereas, education is human right, even people right to enhance its maturity, self-identity, and independence to serve his function to his God. .

Abstract

We know that A. Mustofa Bisri is an Islamic spiritualist. Of course, everything Sufi do never “exhibited” by A. Mustofa Bisri, because “ritual pious and social pious” unified, and value of someone’s ibadah (ritual) to Allah measured by his ikhlas. However, from poem, short stories, and essay he writes, clearly presenting interpretation and realization of his life view that suggested y al-Qur’an and al-Hadis. A. Mustofa Bisri writing everything based on spiritual motive, delivering hikmah (wisdom), and finding life’s blessing. He believes that high quality art work can wake up love that sleeps inside heart, meaning worldly love or God love.
