Abstract

VoIP ( Voice over Internet Protocol ) is a technology used for communication in the form of IP based voice media over long distances. The concept of a VPN (Virtual Private Network) in this paper makes a client that is on the public network can be connected to a LAN network. To use the VoIP server in the Linux operating system Trixbox, whereas for the VPN server using ClearOS and X-lite is used as a softphone to make calls to the client. Of testing at 64kbps bandwidth using the G711 codec produces value performance (delay, jitter, and packet loss ) is not good, so that voice data delivered is less clear. Thus the choice of bandwidth for the G.711 codec 512kbps up is the best solution to get the value of the performance (delay, jitter, and packet loss) better . And a choice of 3 Greed (low, medium, high) on setting bandwidth, high is the best option. Because it can produce the best performance for VoIP VPN technology.

Abstract

A study of using fuzzy-based parameters for solving public bus routing problem with uncertain demand is presented. The fuzzy-based parameters are designed to provide data required by the route selection procedure. The uncertain data are represented as linguistic values which are fully dependent on the user’s preference. Fuzzy inference rules are assigned to relate the fuzzy parameters to the crisp values which are concerned in the route selection process. This paper focuses on the selection of the Defuzzification method to discover the most appropriate method for obtaining crisp values which represent uncertain data. We also present a step by step evaluation showing that the fuzzy-based parameters are capable to represent uncertain data replacing the use of exact data which common route selection algorithms usually use.

Abstract

Payung Sekaki district is one of the area in Solok Region that needs the development of electricity network. To support its development plan, the real condition of Payung Sekaki district should be known. The mapping method is one of the way to know the already implemented electricity area.Based on the mapping result, it is known that the electricity network of SUTM 20 kV at Payung Sekaki district has been implemented in Sikrukam area and Supayang area and not yet in Aie Luo area. The estimation method of electricity needs at Payung Sekaki district is motivated to get information on its development based on economic and population growth. Data processing results using SPSS show that the eletricity needs at Payung Sekaki district from 2013 to 2014 will dramatically increase followed by the increasing of economic growth in spite of population growth is still remain the same.

Abstract

Indonesia located at a ring of fire was a country with the threat level earthquake and tsunami that is high. Various activities and socialization has done by government to prepare people to face all possibilities that happens during and after the earthquake and tsunami hit. Various facilities such as signs for evacuation instruction, simulation evacuation, and installation of alarm are prepared to assist in minimizing risk caused by tsunami and earthquake. This paper shows the system to determine shortest track in the tsunami evacuation routes in Padang West Sumatra. The selection of Padang is based on the earthquake disaster which tsunami potential ever happened in this town and claimed casualties quite a lot. In this paper, is selected the number of the track that can be follow when the citizens of the city of Padang would do the evacuation line of sector VI. Some of the selected path is shortest routes to secure areas in by pass road Padang. Abstract

The rapid development of multimedia technology can be utilized by the world of education, particularly in improving the way of learning to the learning process can be developed and not left behind by technological advances. In this research the development of multimedia applications in education. This application provides an interactive material with animation, audio, video and comes with an evaluation form about the exercises. Results will be achieved of the media making this learning is that students can understand subjects of digital system. Abstract

This research is aim to describe how student use the internet in campus Automotive Engineering Department Padang State University at 2012. Descriptive Research Method was used for this research. Questionnaire was made to obtain the data. Its Questions are about the knowledge of internet facilities and use of the Internet by college students on campus. Questionnaire distributed to 138 respondents. From questionnaire data founded that 84% respondents using campus wifi hotspot for more than two days a week. About 99% of them use the internet to seek learning material to improve academic and technical knowledge. But, unfortunately Academic Information System are still not fully utilized. For example, only 9 of the respondents who have used discussion / chat online as one of a services of Academic Information System

Abstract

Large number of franchises that will be selected as well as indicators of many criteria, it is necessary to build a decision support system that will help decide which franchise to choose. The model used in the decision support system is a Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) and to perform calculations on the case MADM method in finding the best alternative based on the criteria specified use traditional methods TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) to perform the calculations. TOPSIS method is chosen as the method is based on the concept that the best alternative was chosen not only has the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution, but also has the longest distance from the negative ideal solution.

Abstract

This research is aim to : (1) Describe how Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) works at low, middle and high level rotation machine; (2) Knowing Levels of Exhaust Emission Content at low, middle and high level rotation machine. Experiment method was used for this research. EFI engine which is using MAP has been analyzed. Scan tool used to observe MAP performance and Four Gas Analyzer to detect and measure Exhaust Emission Content. From experiment found that increasing the spin machine will result in a decrease vacuum of the intake manifold. At low level rotation (750 rpm) the average of air vacuum through the MAP is 29.00 Kpa, the middle level (2000 rpm) is 26.67 Kpa, and at high speed level (5000 rpm) is 27 , 33 Kpa.

Abstract

Development of science and technology very rapidly in various fields brought great influence to all aspects of life one of this field of telecommunications. Development of telecommunication technology that bring due faster to hight public demand for telecommunications services users get an easy and fast service are used as medium convey information One of the device in question is antenna. Many type of antennas that have been developed for the reception of televisions signals and are generally made of wires, pipes or aluminium which has large size and weight. Needed for the antenna which has advantages in terms of shape light weight small volume from that can be easily adapted to the priimary device for on the fabrication and can be used for a wide band frequency. The antenna is microstrip antennas capable adjusted in assembly or in other words easily in a microstrip antenna placement. Microstrip antenna models 4 is designed to work in the range frequency 470 – 750 MHz. This antenna has a value of more than -10 dB returnloss to a predetermined range frequency. The measurement results of the antenna resonates at a frequency of 518 MHz gain value obtained by 1 dB, and has a wide bandwidth of 7 MHz, while for polaradiasi shaped bidirectional.

Abstract

A microstrip phased array width phase is controlled by length of line feeder is presented in this paper for application in RADAR system. The microstrip array antenna is built from dipolelike individual elemen at center frequency 650 MHz. Five different length transmission lines are used to change current phase feeding in to the antenna which is 2λ, 2.125 λ, 2.025 λ, and 2.5 λ. The measured result reveal exelent agreement width the simaltions. The different length of transmission line able to change the radiation pattern which are 60o, 150o,210o dan 0o.
