Abstract

Weakness data processing using analog processors are less efficient because if there is an error in the design of a system using an analog processor, the hardware of the system should be redesigned. Processing of analog signals using digital processor has several advantages such as efficient and easy to modify the system are made, without requiring hardware redesign as well as in the design of analog systems. Errors in the design of digital circuits in the processor only requires modification program, without having to change the hardware. Modifications can be done anywhere, without demanding we must be in the laboratory. Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is a computational algorithm that is used for digital data processing such as in the field of image, music, and satellite. Winograd FFT 16 point multiplier, multiplier consists of 6 pieces in the form of fractions. Design of FFT multiplier in Xilinx ISE 10.1i could do with changing fractions menajdi integers and then converted into a number by logic 1 and 0. Changing fractions into an integer will give different computational results compared with the original computation using a multiplier of FFT. The shift results enormous computing will result in lost / loss information can be conveyed from the processed data. To that end, researchers tried to simulate and analyze the computational error rate of 16 point Winograd FFT processor using Xilinx ISE 10.1i. The results showed average percentage error computational simulations using FFT 16 point Xilinx Ise 10.1i compare with Matlab is 6.67% (first trial) and 4:48% (second trial). This error occurs because the processor does not allow the FPGA digital display numbers in a real number. Key word: FFT, Xilinx 10.1i

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world in early 2020, has rapidly changed the structure of people's lives, including Indonesia. The world of education is forced to replace face-to-face learning with online learning. The Rector of UNP has followed up on the central government policy to shift the face-to-face (conventional) learning process into online learning. For this reason, the UNP Quality Assurance Center needs to ensure that the implementation of online learning has gone well and is able to meet the predetermined learning-outcame (LO). Through the distribution of learning assessment instruments circulated using google-form to 40,000 UNP students, it was found that 4820 respondents had filled in the instrument. From the respondents' answers, it is known that 99.3% of the lecturers have conducted online lectures, 58% of them are according to the schedule. From the aspect of student readiness, 43.9% were ready, 40.5% were not ready. Furthermore, 50.2% of the lecturers provided guidance well, 44.4% sometimes, and only 5.4% did not. The main obstacles for students: 39.8% less stable internet and 47.7% signal difficulties and no signal at all 12.4%. Other difficulties are 82% internet access, 75.9% credit fees, 63.7% tuition fees, and 51.6% other difficulties. E-learaning process at UNP has been going well and can meet the learning outcomes that have been set. To improve the quality of better learning outcomes, it is necessary to improve the quality of network infrastructure by Telkom, increase the quality of instructional learning by lecturers, and provide credit subsidies for students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop job sheets on the subject of electrical maintenance of light vehicles. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D model development procedure. This research consists of four stages, namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The subjects used were students of SMK N 5 Padang, the data analysis technique used was technical analysis from the experts by looking at the validity and practicality of the jobsheet. The results showed that the jobsheet met the principle of relevance in the qualifications for learning materials from the expert's assessment with a level of 0.921 stated in the valid category. Based on the teacher's response with a value of 90.67%, it is stated that it is practical. Based on the development of this jobsheet, it can be concluded that the jobsheet is valid and practical and for learning in schools.

Abstract

The condition of COVID-19 has changed the living order of all units. The government and the entire community concentrate on the importance of public safety, with the consequence that funds from different units are allocated to COVID-19 disaster management, including the allocation of educational funds. Procurement for SMK education facilities and infrastructure, previously restricted by training facilities, such as a motorcycle auto-study program (TOSM) of SMKN 1 XI Koto Tarusan-Pesisir Selatan, has been affected by changes in funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The absence of learning media and the small number of active teachers from TOSM means that the capacity of TOSM students to fulfill the minimum industry requirements, which is shown by only 16% of SMKN 1 XI Koto Tarusan graduates who can be accepted immediately into the world of work. In a workshop on the design of a motorcycle starter device simulator to solve the problem of incomplete learning media, the implementation team helped develop learning media. This activity took place at SMKN 1 XI Koto Tarusan Pesisir Selatan from 25 to 28 September 2020. There were 10 teachers involved in the course. The production for this operation is 2 motorcycle starter system simulators, which can be used in the teaching and learning process as learning media.

Abstract

Siswa-siswa SMK membutuhkan beberapa keahlian yang nantinya akan digunakan ketika siswa menyeleseikan studinya di sekolah. Salah keahlian yang diharapkan adalah kemampuan menggambar menggunakan program Auto Cad. Dimana kemampuan akhir yang diharapkan dari siswa nantinya adalah mampu membuat gambar dalam bentuk model 2-D dan 3-D. Tujuan dari program pelatihan adalah untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan dari siswa kelas XII dalam menggunakan program Auto Cad. Dengan program pelatihan ini diharapkan siswa mampu membuat gambar komponen-komponen mesin dalam bentuk format 2-D dan 3-D. Sehingga siswa kelas XII SMK memiliki kemampuan menggambar komponen-komponen mesin dan gambar-gambar lainnya dalam format 2-D dan 3-D. Program pelatihan ini menggunakan metode melaui pemberian modul Auto Cad, diskusi, menayangkan melalui slide cara pembuatan gambar mesin dalam format 2-D dan 3-D serta mempraktekkan cara membuat gambar 2-D dan 3-D. Sehingga diharapkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan siswa kelas XII dalam menggambar komponen-komponen mesin dan gambar-gambar lainnya dalam format 2-D dan 3-D.

Abstract

Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) merupakan salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri yang mencetak lulusan untuk siap kerja. Perkembangan dunia industri khusus nya di bidang otomotif yang mengarah ke sistem elektronik, mau tidak mau Jurusan Teknik Otomotif FT UNP harus membekali lulusannya dengan kemampuan yang relevan dengan tuntutan dunia kerja tersebut. Pembelajaran listrik dan elektronika merupakan mata kuliah yang angka kegagalannya cukup tinggi bagi mahasiswa. Berbagai upaya sudah dilakukan oleh dosen pengampu mata kuliah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa, akan tetapi hasilya masih belum memuaskan.. Pembelajaran sudah dilakukan dengan menggunakan media power poin akan tetapi hasilnya belum maksimal dalam pencapaian hasil belajar mahasiswa di bidang listrik dan elektronika. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan para ahli, salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran adalah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, bersifat nyata dan langsung bisa diamati, salah satunya adalah mini trainer IC 555.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan industri/lapangan kerja tidak sebanding dengan jumlah lulusan SMK menjadikan tingkat persaingan bekerja semakin ketat. Untuk menyiapkan lulusan dan mengurangi angka penganguran di SMKN 1 Tarusan dan SMKN 2 Painan, maka peneliti mencoba meimplemtansikan pembelajaran berbasis produk, untuk membuka wawasan siswa tentang wirausaha. Daerah Pesisir Selatan merupakan satu-satunya daerah yang telah mendapatkan predikat Wisata Shar’I, sehingga menjadi peluang bagus bagi alumni SMK untuk berkreasi menciptakan produk inovatif yang bernilai jual sebagai cendramata wisata daerah Pesisir Selatan. Metode pebelajaran berbasis produk ini menerapkan rancangan penelitian R&D. Produk yang dihasilkan sampel penelitian adalah Lampu Hias dari Stick es Krim. Implementasi pembelajaran berbasis produk telah mampu meningkatkan minat siswa untuk berwirausaha sebesar 44%.

Abstract

Jurusan Teknik Otomotif FT UNP membekali lulusannya dengan kemampuan yang relevan dengan tuntutan dunia kerja tersebut. Mata kuliah Listrik dan Elektronika yang merupakan mata kuliah wajib yang harus ditempuh oleh mahasiswa Teknik Otomotif. Pembelajaran Listrik dan Elektronika merupakan mata kuliah yang angka kegagalannya cukup tinggi bagi mahasiswa. Sehingga diperlukan media yang lebih baik mengatasi masalah ini dengan cara penerapan media pembelajaran trainer IC 555 pada proses pembelajaran. Penerapan media pembelajaran trainer IC 555 pada proses pembelajaran secara keseluruhan pada siklus I dan siklus II terjadi peningkatan aktivitas Mahasiswa. Selanjutnya peningkatan pada hasil belajar yaitu pada pra siklus rata-rata nilai mahasiswa 52,40, persentase mahasiswa yang tuntas 23,07%. Pada siklus 1 meningkat dengan rata-rata nilai mahasiswa 61,73, persentase mahasiswa yang tuntas meningkat menjadi 48,07%, selanjutnya pada siklus II juga mengalami peningkatan rata-rata nilai mahasiswa 70,38%, serta persentase mahasiswa yang tuntas menjadi 88,46%. Menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media ini terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pada proses pembelajaran mata kulia listrik dan elektronika. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan ialah lembar penilaian hasil belajar. Data kuantitatif yang didapatkan kemudian dianalisis dengan statistika deskriptif.

Abstract

In the recent years, the practice of Electricity and Electronics is oriented to lecturer based learning. The lecturer oriented learning can make learning process passive. In this context, the researcher tries to carry out an experiment of teaching concept, with bases on life skills. The purpose of the research is to describe the influence of application of teaching model on the basis of life Skills. The model can improve student activity, creativity and competency on Electricity and Electronics subject on July-December 2006 at Automotive Engineering FT UNP. The collected data analysis was analyzed by descriptive analysis. The research was found that teaching model improved student's activity, creativity and competency on Electric and Electronics subject.

Abstract

Learning Media is a very important thing in the teaching and learning process, with the learning media students can understand learning better. The types of Pressure Sensors in the Department of Automotive Engineering, Padang State University have not been there, so students are not able to understand the concept of the characteristics still constrained. This study uses research and development methods (Research and Development) which aims to determine the performance, feasibility level of Basic Concept Trainer. Data retrieval is done 4 times in each test, raw data obtained during testing are processed with several stages of testing: Accuracy Test, Repeability Test, Linearity Test, Test the level of eligibility based on the opinion of experts and users. The results of the trainer performance of the basic concept of the pressure sensor, it is known that the accuracy test shows the average percentage accuracy is 99.45%, the linearity test data is linear, the repeatability test is obtained by 0.009, the feasibility level of the Trainer Basic Concepts of Pressure Sensors from 4 media experts in the category Very Eligible (91.81%), the feasibility level of the Basic Pressure Sensor Trainer concept from users in the Very Eligible category (92.93%).
