Abstract

Based on hermeneutics’ history, it is known that Paul Ricoeur bringshermeneutics into activities of interpreting and understanding texts (textualexegesis). According to Ricoeur, who is a professor of philosophy at NanterreUniversity, “Basically the whole philosophy is an interpretation tointerpretation.” He agrees with Nietzsche that “Life itself is an interpretation. Ifthere emerges plurality of meanings, interpretation is needed”.To study the hermeneutics of interpretation of Paul Ricoeur, we do notneed to trace its root to the previous growth of this study. Richard E. Palmereven places Ricoeur’s hermeneutics separated from other previous similarstudies, like the hermeneutics of sacred-book interpretation theory, hermeneuticsof philology method, hermeneutics of linguistic understanding, hermeneutics ofhuman science foundation (Geisteswissenschaften), and hermeneutics of daseinphenomenology.Key words: hermeneutics, interpretation and understanding of text

Abstract

When a new art work is created, it usually causes the emergence ofnew definitions of art, which are based on different points of view andinterpretations. Therefore, it is difficult to give an ideal definition of art. Thescope of art is so wide and the facet is so various that art has plural meanings. There are always incomplete and incomprehensive views of art. There are alsomany different branches of art. On account of its wide scope, the philosophyof art is badly needed as a way to comprehend and analyze matters related toart and its definitions.Based on a view that there is no difference between art and beauty, every beautiful thing is an art and on the contrary something that has thevalues of art is certainly beautiful. This view causes overlapping descriptionsof art meanings. Accordingly, art and beauty often replace each other in theworld of art. The question is then about the meaning of art and of beauty, andits forms and shapes. To create an art work, it is impossible to neglect materials that formit. An art work is physical but the shape itself is not necessarily regarded asart. Whether a physical shape has art values depends on the values inside. These inner values, the so-called art content values, are the first to catch by artappreciators and lovers. In comprehending an art work, the Forms of FashionBase and the Form and Content in the Fashion Work is applicable to analysean art's form and conent.Key words: art, form and content

Abstract

As human creation, fine art is a human or cultural fact as well as asemiotic fact. A fine art has a specific existence that distinguishes it from otherhuman facts, that is an existence feature inseparable from the balanceconsideration between reason and feeling. Therefore, despite an artist' freedomin actualizing and appreciating what he wants to express, he needs to hold thebasic principle of fine art, namely its closeness to human life. The basicconcept of the art is as a starting point and the artist' mirror to reflect his duty tokeep its potential of typical areas and to open new art horizon in creating a newclassification system. This is a real step expected to determine the art's positionand bargaining value in this rapid growing era.Key words: fine art, and social changes
