Abstract

The problems   faced  by crisply  industry  "Sarinah"   was  the  problem of dryer of kerecek (raw  crisply)  which  need wide of place and very depend on  weather.   The   operation    could   be  adapted   by  requirement    of   good production   on  noon   or  night.   Target   activity   of  this  program   was  give additional   aid  of  equipment   of  production   matching   with  requirement    of small  industry   so  that   production   mount   and  have  technology    mainstay production,  efficient  and cheap  of operating  expenses.To  overcome    problems    of  production   draining   of  crisply,   gone through the following  stages:   (1) making  scheme  of crisply  dryer  according to  requirement   of  small  industry;   (2)  making  crisply  dryer  with  adequate capacities  (15.000-20.000)    in a short  times  (7 -  8 hours),  and  (3)  partner industry can exploit  dryer technology  in an optimal  flashing.Execution  of activity  orients  on efficacy  of making  of dryer  able  tobe exploited  properly.  The result  of make-up  of small industrial  productivity after wearing  this appliance  is marked  with attainment  of larger  ones  om set. Total the omset  before  this  program  is 8000 crisply  sold (equivalent   of Rp800.000,00/day).   After  adjustment   of technology  of dryer,  tired  mean  omset13.000 until  15.000 crisply.  On bad weather,  industrial  this crisply  produces crisply  till  20.000   because   getting   the  order  5000  of  crisply   from  other industries.   This  means   program   of  this  voucher   can  increase   product   on small industry.Key words: dryer, crisply, small industrial

Abstract

Based on the analysis  of the field situation  there are some complaints by the elementary   students  to their  parents  that the  local  content  subject  of Javanese  literature   is  hard  to  learn  and  is  not  interesting   that  it  becomes something   frightening   them.   That  is  why  it  is  necessary   to  immediately found  the  way  out  that  it  is  fun  for  them  to  learn  the  subject.  Therefore, using  the  recent   advancement    of  science   and  technology   a  competence­ based  Javanese  literature   learning  through  the media  of Wayang  Kancil  are introduced.  The training  is organized  to answer  the following  questions:  (1) What  are  the  manifestations    of  the  competence-based    literature   learning through   the   media    of   Wayang    Kancil?   and   (2)   To   what   extent   the competence-based    literature   learning  through  the  media  of  Wayang  Kancil succeed   to  encourage    the   students   in  learning   the  subject   of  Javanese Literature?The  target  population   are  the  elementary  school  teachers  in Kulom Progo  regency  of  Y ogyakarta.   Each  of the  existing  subdistricts   sends  two teachers   that   the  total   participants    are  40  individuals.   The   activity   are centered    in    Sanggar    Kegiatan     Belajar    (SKB)    Kulon    Progo    (Dinas Pendidikan   Hall).  It  is conducted   using  the  method  of speech,  discussion, exercise,  and Wayang  Kancil  simulation.All  of  the  40  participants   are  able  to  practice  the  learning  process using the Wayang  Kancil.  It may be initiated  using  story telling  and also by singing  a  song.  They  succeed:   (1)  to  chose  or  create  an  interesting   story appropriate  with the need of the elementary  school  students,  (2) to make  use of the language  and various  messages  on good conduct  that are to transfer  to the  students   in  the   learning   process   through   the  media  of  the   Wayang Kancil,  and  (3) to  master  the  strategy  in selecting  the contextual   stories  in Kulon   Progo.   Subsequently,    the  participants    are:   (1)  well-motivated     in practicing  and doing  their job  with the media of the Wayang Kancil,  (2) with the pleasure  willing  to share their knowledge  and skills with their  colleagues in their  respective  districts,   (3) all of them  listen  the tutorial,  attending  the183184perform~nce    of.the   Way~ng   Kanc~1 and  in the  same  time  appreciating     it, (4) to  pr~ctlce    telh.ng   Kanc~l   story    III tu:n  using  the  media  of  the  Wayang Kancil,  (5! to  smg  Kancil  song,  Kancil  poem  reading  appropriate   with  the psyc.hoiogical developmen.t  ~f the .elementary school students,  (6) to practice p~aYlllg~he Wayan~  Kancil  III a SImple manner  without  any instrument,   but dlrec~ly III t~e learning  process,  (7) to organize  the simulation  of the Wayang Kancil learning.Key words: KBK, wayang kancil, Javanese literature

Abstract

The   community     service    held   the   Department    of   Educational Psychology   and  Guidance,   State  University   of  Yogyakarta   has  two  aims. First,   Junior  High  School  Teacher  of Guidance  have knowledge   and  skills about Bibliotherapy.   Second,  the teachers  of guidance  in Junior  High School have high motivation  to develop  bibliotherapy    so that they can make  a bank of Bibliotherapy  in MGP  (Teacher  of Guidance  Deliberation  Forum).This  training   has  three  methods.   First,  exchange   ideas  to  find  the problems  in guidance  and counseling   faced by Junior  High School  teachers of   guidance   in   Bantul   Regency.    Second,   talks   and   discussions    about bibliotherapy     including     their    management     and    development.     Third, discussion  and training  of making  bibliotherapy.The   success   of  this   training   was   indicated   by  the   increase    ofknowledge   on   making   the   bibliotherapy    and   the   gathering   of   62   exp bibliotherapy  managed  by the Junior High School Teachers of Guidance Deliberation  Forum  in Educational   Department  in Bantul Regency.Key words: Training, bibliotherapy, guidance and counseling

Abstract

This   workshop    is  aimed   at  providing   knowledge    and   skills   in':.~5g· ning classroom  activities,  creating  and developing  learning  media  from~~ent       waste,   and   its  implementation    in  the  teaching   of  English   for~;,'  ren  by  kindergarten    teachers   in  the  Subdistrict   of  Kalasan,   Sleman. egency, Yogyakarta   Special  Territory.The   presentation    method   includes   lecturing,   demonstrating,     and;::-a tising. Lecturing  was employed  in presenting  the theoretical  and  literary.e 'iews on teaching  children,  and in seeking   for new alternatives  to support:.~  teachers'  creativity  in developing  the learning  media. Demonstrating   was conducted  in designing   classroom  activities  and lesson  units,  making  media zppropriate  for  the  classroom   activities,and   managing  the  teaching-leming.  ocess with the focus on the optimal  use of the media. Abstract

The training  of the  fish  processing   is meant  to socialize  knowledge and skills  in fish processing   safety  and healthy  to be consumed  for the  fish sellers in Trisik  Beach,  Kulon  Progo,  Yogyakarta.The  15 fish  sellers  attended   the  training  from  Trisik  Village.   The training  was  conducted   5 times  consisting  of  one  session  of  theory  and  4 sessions   of   a  practices.    The   methods    of   the   training   were   lecturing, demonstrating   and practicing   on the spot. The evaluation  was done  after the training had finished.The result  of the  training  showed  that  the participants   mastered   thetraining   material   given   covering:    1)  hygiene   in  fish  processing,    2)  fish processing   for  preserving   products   i.e  fish  crackered   and  smoked,   and  3) fish processing  for ready-served   food  such as siomay,  ikan acar kuning and saos asam manis that  are served  hygienically.  The result of the training  has been applied  in warung  PKK Trisik  Village,  Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta.Key word: training.fish  processing

Abstract

Both  the  abstract  mathematical   concept  and who are  in the  stage  of operasional    concrete    thinking    need   teaching   media   to   bridge   the   gap. Teaching  media  is  one  of the  alternatives   used  by teachers  in  elementary schools.   The   objective    of   this   research    is   to   improve    the   learning mathematics  quality  by means  of appropriate  media.This  is action  research   consists  of three  cycles.  The  subject  of the research   is   19  first   grade   students   of  SD  Negeri   Palbapang    J  Bantul Yogyakarta.The result  shows  that  (1) using  the  appropriatte  teaching  media  canimprove   the   students'    activity    in   learning   mathematics.    By   using   the teaching  media,  the  teacher   can  be  more  creative  in solving  the  students' learning  problems.   (2)  The  main  handicap   in using  teaching   media  in the learning   and  teaching   process   is  time   constraint,   lacking   of  media   and teachers     capability      creating      and     developing           media.      (3)     The students'difficulty    in learning  mathematics   can be solved  by teaching  using media.Key words:  media, susceptible teaching  material,  mathematics

Abstract

Activity   of  service   community   have  objects:   (1)  after  upgrading, partie Sainsnts  have   a skill to use of science  equipment  needed  of CTL,  (2) partie  Sainsnts   have     a  skill  to  use,  plan,  and  make  science   equipment needed  of CTL,  (3) partie  Sainsnts  have  a skill  to complete  the  equipment with work sheet,  (4) partie  Sainsnts  have   a skill to make science  equipment from second-hand  materialThe   activity    is   explaining,    information-discussion,     work   group,workshop  and experiment.   The activity  is carried  out classical  and group  for24  hour.  The  activity   is  explaining,   discussion,   topic  choosing   that  are continued  work group  and presentation.Based  on observation   can  be concluded:  (1) increase  of skill  to use of science  equipment   needed  of CTL,  (2) increase  of skill  to use,  plan,  and make  science   equipment    needed   of  CTL,  (3)  particSainsnts    have   made science  equipment   completed   with  work  sheet,  and  (4) particSainsnts   have had a skill to make  science  equipment  from second-hand  material.

Abstract

The  purpose   of  this   IPTEKS   application   program   is  to  increase school  headmasters'    ability  for  making  the  schoolwork   programs   based strategic   planning    process.    Therefore    headmasters    of   Vocational    Hig School (SMK)  have:  (1) the ability  to conduct  the school needs  analysis,  (2 the ability to formulate  the school  vision  and mission,  (3) the ability  to draw up plans  for school  development,   (4) the ability  to perform  SWOT  analysi (internal   and  external   condition),   (5)  the  ability  to  formulate   the  schoo objective,  (6) the ability  to understand  of the way to formulate  strategy.Methods  used  in Strategic Planning Workshop are lecture,  question­answer,    demonstration,      group-task,     seminar;    guidance    to    make    th schoolwork   programs   based   a  strategic   planning   process,   and  games   i outbound   training.   Learning   approaches   used   in  this  training   are  adul education  and practice.The  result   of  Strategic  Planning  Workshop can  be  concluded   afollows:   (a)  Participants    have   global   vision   in  technology   and  strategic issues   of   education    as   formulation    and   development    process    of   th schoolwork  programs  for increasing  quality  of education  in each  school.  (b Participants   can  formulate   and  develop  the  schoolwork  programs  based  o strategic  planning  process  oriented  for school needs in the field of life skills (c) Participants  can develop  self-power  as headmasters  who have th transformational   leadership  to implement  the schoolwork  programs  based  ostrategic planning  and can control  the operation  of this program  interatedly.Key words: strategic planning, life skill
