Abstract

 Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran bangun ruang SMP dengan menggunakan pendekatan SAVI yang layak yaitu valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4-D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel. Pengembangan perangkat terdiri  dari tahap analisis awal-akhir, analisis siswa, analisis materi, analisis tugas, spesifikasi tujuan pembelajaran, pemilihan media, pemilihan format, desain produk, uji ahli, uji coba  terbatas dan uji coba lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 52 orang yang terdiri dari dua kelas yang berasal dari siswa SMPN 5 Sumbawa Besar dan SMPN 2 Unter Iwes. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar validasi, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar penilaian sisiwa, lembar penilain guru, dan tes prestasi belajar.  Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan  Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS)  yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif serta Tes Prestasi Belajar (TPB) yang valid dan reliabel.Kata kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, bangun ruang, pendekatan SAVI Developing the Solid Geometry Teaching Kit for Junior High School Using SAVI Approach (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) AbstractThe aim of this study was to produce the solid geometry teaching kit for junior high schools which use  SAVI approach that is valid, practical, and effective. This was a developmental research using a 4-D model by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. The developmental process consisted of  front-end analysis, learner analysis, task analysis, concept analysis, specifying instructional objectives, format selection, product design, expert validation, small try-out, and field try-out. There were 52 subjects  from two junior high schools namely SMPN 5 Sumbawa Besar and SMPN 2 Unter Iwes. This research instruments consisted of validation sheets, learning observation sheets, students evaluation sheets, teachers evaluation sheets and test. The data were analyzed descriptively.This research results revealed that the syllabus, lesson plan, and  student work sheet  which were developed are valid, practical, and effective, and achievement test is valid and reliabel.Keywords: developing, teaching kit, solid geometry, SAVI approach

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan problem-based learning dengan model TAI dan TPS terhadap pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan nonequivalent group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kawunganten  Cilacap Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis serta angket motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Pemberian bukti validitas instrumen dengan validitas isi dan konstruk. Estimasi reliabilitas dengan Alpha Cronbach. Untuk melihat perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran, data dianalisis secara multivariat menggunakan T2 Hotelling dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji t univariat untuk membandingkan mana yang lebih berpengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh penerapan problem-based learning dengan model TAI dan TPS ditinjau dari pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Hasil uji lanjut problem-based learning dengan model TAI memiliki pengaruh lebih besar dibandingkan problem-based learning dengan model TPS ditinjau dari pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa.Kata Kunci: problem-based learning, team assisted individualization, think pair share, kemampuan berpikir kritis, motivasi belajar matematika. The Effect of Implementation of Problem-Based Learning with Model of TAI and TPS on Students Mathematics Learning Outcomes AbstractThis study aimed to describe the effect of the implementation of problem-based learning model with TAI and TPS on the students’ achievement of critical thinking skills and motivation learning mathematics. This study was a quasi-experimental research with design nonequivalent group design. The population of this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Kawunganten Cilacap regency, Central Java Province. Instruments used to collect the data were critical thinking skills test and mathematics learning motivation questionnaire. The validity of the instrument used content and construct validity. The reliability of the instrument used Cronbach Alpha. To see the difference of the effect of learning, the data were analyzed using a multivariate T2 Hotelling with a significance level of 5% and followed by univariate t test to compare wich one is more influential. The result showed that there was significant effect of implementation of problem-based learning TAI model and TPS on the students’ achievement of critical thinking skills and motivation to learn mathematics. Further test result showed that problem based learning TAI model has a greater influence than problem based learning TPS models on students’ the achievement of critical thinking skills and motivation to learn mathematics.Keywords: problem-based learning, team assisted individualization, think pair share, critical thinking skill, motivation to learn mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk pembelajaran kontekstual matematika yang menekankan religiusitas peserta didik dan menghasilkan produk pengembangan pembelajaran kontekstual matematika yang menekankan religiusitas peserta didik yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Pengembangan pembelajaran difokuskan pada Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan juga pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang membantu keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran, yaitu buku panduan guru (BPG), lembar kerja siswa (LKS), dan lembar projek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan produk pengembangan memenuhi kriteria valid yang dinyatakan oleh para dosen ahli, kepraktisan yang dilihat dari  kepraktisan guru terhadap perangkat pembelajaran dan kepraktisan peserta didik terhadap pemanfaatan LKS, projek, dan penilaian diri, kriteria keefektifan yang dihasilkan oleh penilaian masing-masing LKS, observasi dan penilaian diri yang menghasilkan nilai (skor) tuntas. Oleh karena itu bisa disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kontekstual matematika yang menekankan religiusitas peserta didik memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif.Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran kontekstual matematika, religiusitas Development of Mathematics Contextual Learning Models on Junior High School at 9TH Grade Focusing on Students’ Religiousity AbstractThe research aimed at developing mathematics contextual learning focusing on students’ religiousity, and producing effective, valid, and practical product on the development on mathematics contextual learning focusing on students’ religiousity. This study  belongs  to developmental research. The development of the learning focused on development procedure which produces development product, the development product consists of some education instruments such as lesson plan, guide book for teachers, students’ worksheets, and self assessment, and an assessment for development product which used research instruments. The results of the research showed the products meet the characteristic of valid by the experts, practical aspects from teacher practical sheets towards learning product and  students practical sheet towards the product, and effective aspects that shown by the result of assessing students’ worksheets , observation sheet, and self assessment to students. Therefore learning contextual mathematics focusing on students religiousity was effective. It can be concluded that this research meet valid, practical, and effective criteria.Key words : mathematics contextual learning model, religiousity

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar untuk meningkatkan higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) menggunakan problem-based learning (PBL) yang meliputi silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), dan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif, serta instrumen evaluasi berupa tes yang valid dan reliabel. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Borg Gall (1983) yang dimodifikasi menjadi tiga tahap pengembangan yaitu studi pendahuluan, desain produk, dan tahap pengembangan dan evaluasi. Aspek kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari penilaian para ahli dan mencapai kategori valid. Aspek kepraktisan mencapai kategori sangat praktis ditinjau dari observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, penilaian guru, dan penilaian siswa. Aspek keefektifan telah tercapai ditinjau dari HOTS siswa. Hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa HOTS siswa mencapai kategori A di SMP Negeri 1 Daha Utara dan kategori B di SMP Negeri 2 Daha Utara.Kata kunci: pengembangan, higher-order thinking skills, problem-based learning Developing Learning Kit to Improve HOTS for Flat Side of Space Competence AbstractThis  research  was  aimed  to  develop  a  learning  kit  for  flat  side  of  space  competence  to  improve higher-order thinking skills using problem-based learning, consisting of valid, practical, and effective syllabuses, lesson plans, worksheets, and the valid and reliable of evaluation instrument i.e. test. The research is a development research, which was carried out by the implementation of Borg Gall (1983) development model, which modified into three stages: preliminary study, product design, and development and evaluation. The result of validation by expert jugdement shows that the developed learning kit is feasible to use with valid category. The aspects of practicality was falls into practical category based on observation of learning implementation, and teacher’s and student’s assessment. The aspect of effectiveness could be reached from the student’s HOTS. The result of field study shows that student’s HOTS category gets A at SMP Negeri 1 Daha Utara and B at SMP Negeri 2 Daha Utara. Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan pengaruh metode pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap ketercapaian kompetensi dasar, rasa ingin tahu, dan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan, dan (2) membandingkan metode pembelajaran inkuiri dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional dalam hal ketercapaian kompetensi dasar, rasa ingin tahu dan kemampuan penalaran matematis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dan nontes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji multivariat (MANOVA), kemudian dilanjutkan dengan independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Penelitian menunjukkan hasil bahwa (1) ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap ketercapaian kompetensi dasar, rasa ingin tahu, dan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan, dan (2) metode pembelajaran inkuiri lebih unggul dari pada metode pembelajaran konvensional dalam hal ketercapaian kompetensi dasar, rasa ingin tahu, dan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan.Kata Kunci: metode pembelajaran inkuiri, ketercapaian kompetensi dasar, rasa ingin tahu, dan kemampuan penalaran matematis The Effects of Inquiry Method on the Basic Competency Achievement, Curiosity, and Mathematical Reasoning Skill  AbstractThis research was aimed at: (1) describing the influence of the inquiry learning method on basic competence achievement, curiosity, and mathematical reasoning skills of the students of class XI Science of SMA N 1 Muntilan, and (2) comparing between inquiry learning method and conventional learning method in terms of achievement of basic competence, curiosity, and mathematical reasoning skills. The research was a quasi-experimental research. Data collection techniques used test and non-test technique. The data analysis technique used the multivariate test (MANOVA), followed by independent sample t-test with the significance level of 0.05. This research showed the following results: (1) there is an influence of inquiry learning towards the achievement of basic competence, curiosity, and mathematic reasoning skill of the students of grade XI science at SMA Negeri 1 Muntilan, and (2) the inquiry learning method was better thatn the conventional learning method in terms of achievement of basic competence, curiosity, and mathematical reasoning skill.Keywords: inquiry learning methods, the basic competences achievement, curiosity, and mathematical reasoning skill.

Abstract

Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran group investigation (GI) menggunakan alat peraga manipulatif dibandingkan dengan metode ceramah menggunakan alat peraga secara klasikal ditinjau dari prestasi belajar bangun ruang sisi datar dan apresiasi peserta didik terhadap matematika peserta didik kelas VIII SMP. Populasi meliputi seluruh peserta didik SMP di DIY dengan sampel peserta didik kelas VIII  B dan C SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/2013, yang  diambil secara acak dengan undian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan dua perlakuan yaitu untuk kelompok eksperimen (kelas VIII B) berupa pembelajaran GI menggunakan alat peraga manipulatif dan kelompok kontrol (kelas VIII C) berupa pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah menggunakan alat peraga secara klasikal. Pretes dan postes digunakan untuk mengukur prestasi belajar bangun ruang sisi datar dan angket apresiasi untuk mengetahui tingkat apresiasi terhadap matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pembelajaran GI menggunakan alat peraga manipulatif efektif baik jika ditinjau dari prestasi belajar bangun ruang sisi datar maupun apresiasi terhadap matematika; (2) pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah menggunakan alat peraga secara klasikal efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, tetapi tidak efektif jika ditinjau dari apresiasi terhadap matematika; (3) pembelajaran GI menggunakan alat peraga manipulatif lebih efektif baik jika ditinjau dari prestasi belajar bangun ruang sisi datar maupun apresiasi peserta didik terhadap matematika.Kata kunci: group investigation, alat peraga manipulatif, prestasi belajar, apresiasi terhadap matematika Review of the Effectiveness of Group Investigation with Manipulatives Teaching Aid from the Aspects of Polyhedra Learning Achievement and Appreciation of Mathematics at SMP AbstractThis quasi-experiment aims to describe the effectiveness of cooperative learning of group investigation (GI) with manipulatives teaching aid compared with conventional learning method using teaching aid classically in terms of polyhedra learning achievement and students’ appreciation of mathematics of the 8th grade students. The population covered all 8th grade students at DIY with sample was all students at class VIII B and C of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2012/2013, established randomly using the lottery method. This used the quantitative approach with two treatments, the experimental group (class VIII B)was  taught using cooperative learning of GI with manipulatives and for  the control group (class VIII C) using conventional learning method with teaching aid classically. Pretest dan posttest were used to measure students’ learning achievement and a questionnaireof appreciation was used to know the level of their aprreciation of mathematics. The result showed that (1) the cooperative learning of GI with manipulatives is effective both in terms of polyhedra learning achievement and appreciation of mathematics, (2) the conventional learning method using teaching aid classically is effective in terms of learning achievement, but ineffective in terms of appreciation of mathematics; (3) the cooperative learning of GI with manipulatives is more effective both in terms of polyhedra learning achievement and appreciation of mathematics.Keywords: group investigation, manipulative teaching aid, polyhedra learning achievement, appreciation of mathematics

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar Matematika kelas X dengan menggunakan pendekatan open-ended yang baik (valid, praktis dan efektif) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa,dan membandingkan keefektifannya dengan Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa Matematika Kelas X yang dipersiapkan pemerintah dalam rangka implementasi Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Model pengembangan yang diacu adalah model Dick Carey dan Borg Gall yang dimodifikasi. Langkah-langkah dalam pengembangan ini adalah meneliti dan mengumpulkan informasi, mengembangkan RPP, memilih dan mengembangkan bahan ajar, uji coba awal, revisi, uji coba utama, dan revisi akhir produk.Uji coba awal dan uji coba utama dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Bantul. Kevalidan produk divalidasi oleh ahli. Kepraktisan produk dinilai oleh pengguna produk yaitu guru dan siswa. Keefektifan produk diuji menggunakan uji statistik inferensial dengan melihat perbedaan rerata yang signifikan dari nilai pretest dan posttest ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa. Selanjutnya, akan dibandingkan keefektifan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk hasil pengembangan termasuk kategori sangat valid menurut para ahli, praktis menurut penilaian guru, dan sangat praktis menurut siswa. Produk yang dihasilkan juga efektif, bahkan lebih efektif jika dibandingkan dengan Buku Guru dan Buku Siswa ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa.Kata kunci: pengembangan, bahan ajar, pendekatan open-ended, kemampuan berpikir kritis, kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Developing Mathematics Teaching Materials Using Open-Ended Approach to Improve Critical and Creative Thinking Skills of SMA Students AbstractThe purposes of this study were to develop good mathematics teaching materials using open-ended approach to improve critical and creative thinking skills of Class X students and to compare their effectiveness with Buku Guru and Buku Siswa that were prepared by the government for the implementation of Curriculum 2013. This study was a research and development (RD) using models from Dick Carey and Borg Gall which had been modified. The steps of this study were researching and collecting information, developing lesson plan, developing and selecting instructional materials including assessing instruments,  preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, and final product revision. Preliminary and main field testing were held at SMA N 1 Bantul. The developed products were validated by experts. The teacher and students as users of this products evaluated their practicality. The effectiveness of the products was analyzed by inferential statistics tests by measuring significant mean difference from pretest and posttest of students’ critical and creative thinking skills. Furthermore,  the effectiveness both of them was compared between experimental and control class. The results of this study showed that the validity of the product is very valid according to experts, is practical according to the assessment of teacher, and is very practical according to students. The developed product was effective and more effective than the Buku Guru and Buku Siswa from the government in terms of critical and creative thinking skills of students.Keywords: developing, material teaching, open-ended approach, critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran  kooperatif model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dengan pembelajaran langsung (direct learning) pada materi kesebangunan bangun datar ditinjau dari prestasi dan  minat  belajar, (2) membandingkan keefektifan antara pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD dan direct learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari empat kelas, sedangkan sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yang dipilih secara acak dengan siswa sebanyak 64 siswa. Instrumen penelitian adalah instrumen tes prestasi dan angket minat belajar. Analisis data (statistik inferensial) meliputi: (1) uji t one sample, (2) analisis multivariat dengan Hotelling’s Trace, dan (3) uji lanjut dengan Equal Variances assumed dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pembelajaran model STAD dan direct learning efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan minat belajar matematika siswa dan  (2) pembelajaran model STAD lebih efektif daripada direct learning ditinjau dari minat  belajar matematika siswa, tetapi tidak lebih efektif bila ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika siswa.Kata kunci: Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), pembelajaran langsung (direct learning), prestasi, dan minat belajar matematika siswa. The Effectiveness of the STAD and Direct Learning Models in Terms of Learning Achievement and Interest in Mathematics for Topic of Plane Figure Similarity AbstractThe aims of this research were to describe the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model and direct learning in mathematics learning for topic of plane figure similarity in terms of learning achievement and interest in mathematics and compare both of them. This was a quasi-experimental study. The research population comprised four classes. The research sample consisted of two classes, which were randomly selected. The research instruments were an achievement test and a learning interest questionnaire. The data analysis included: (1) one sample t-test, (2) multivariate analysis using Hotelling’s Trace, and (3) a post hoc test using Equal Variances Assumed with significance level of 5%. The results of the study showed that: (1) the STAD and direct learning models were effective in terms of the students’ mathematics learning achievement and interest and (2) the STAD learning model is more effective than direct learning model in terms of the students’ mathematics learning interest, but it wasn’t as effective based on the students’ mathematics learning achievement. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran bangun ruang dengan pendekatan Creative Problem Solving  yang berkualitas baik berdasarkan kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model pengembangan Four-D yang diadaptasi dari Thiagarajan, Semmel, dan Semmel yang memuat tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri dari Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS), tes prestasi belajar, dan tes kemampuan penalaran matematis. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori sangat valid untuk masing-masing RPP, LKS, dan tes. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa RPP dan LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori praktis dan efektif. Kepraktisan mencapai kategori sangat praktis berdasarkan penilaian guru dan mencapai kategori praktis berdasarkan hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan penilaian siswa. Keefektifan mencapai kategori efektif berdasarkan ketuntasan belajar siswa. Secara klasikal ketuntasan tes prestasi belajar mencapai 76,67% dan tes kemampuan penalaran matematis mencapai 90%.Kata kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, Creative Problem Solving  Developing of Solid Instructional Package with Creative Problem Solving Approach AbstractThe aim of this research was to produce the solid instructional package with Creative Problem Solving  approach which have good quality based on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness criteria. This study was a research and development using the developmental model adapted from Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel included define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. This study produces instructional package consists of lesson plans, student worksheets, achievement tests, and mathematical reasoning tests. The results of the validation showed that the developed package is very valid based on lesson plans, student worksheets, and tests. The results of the tryout indicated that lesson plans and student worksheets are practical and effective. The practicality was in  very practical category based on teacher’s assessment and practical category based on the implementation of learning and student’s assessment. The effectiveness was in the effective category based on student’s learning mastery. In the classical mastery learning it reached 76.67% for achievement and 90% for mathematical reasoning.   Keywords: development, instructional package, Creative Problem Solving

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran matematika yang layak untuk pembelajaran siswa SMP N 1 Pomalaa kelas VII Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Borg Gall. Subjek coba penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP N 1 Pomalaa kelas VII sejumlah 31 siswa, yang terdiri dari 6 siswa untuk uji coba terbatas dan 25 siswa untuk uji lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran geometri pada aspek kelayakan isi berkategori baik, pada aspek kelayakan bahasa dan gambar berkategori sangat baik, pada aspek penyajian berkategori sangat baik, dan pada aspek kegrafisan berkategori baik serta pembelajaran matematika yang menggunakan modul lebih baik dibandingkan kelas yang tidak menggunakan modul.Kata kunci: pengembangan, modul pembelajaran, pemahaman konsep dan minat Developing a Module to Improve Concept Understanding and Interest of Students of SMP AbstractThe study aimed to develop appropiate mathematics instructional module for mathematics instruction for seventh grade students of  SMP N 1 Pomalaa South-East Sulawesi. This research and development study used Borg and Gall model. Subject of research were 31 students of SMPN 1 Pomalaa.  Specifically, 6 students participated in the limited try-out and 25 students participated in the extended try-out. The result of study shows that the module of geometry learning for seventh grade students of SMP N 1 Pomalaa in terms of the aspect of content was categorized good, from the aspect of language and pictures was categorized very good, from the aspect of lay-out was categorized very good, and from the aspect of graphic design was categorized good, and also mathematics learning  using learning module was better than without module.Keywords : development, learning module, concept undertanding, interest
