Abstract

The growth of motor vehicles in Indonesia is quite fast to bring the influence of the increased usage of fuel oil, so that the air pollution becomes inevitable. Motor vehicles are the largest source of pollutant emissions and contribute to the Carbon Monoxide of the pollutants that exist, where from year to year pollution levels increased along with the increasing use of motor vehicles. One of the things that can be done by researchers in this application is the installation of emission control teknology Catalytic Converters are installed in the exhaust gas channel.  Catalytic Converter generally use this type of expensive metal catalysts and rare in the market (Palladium, Platinum and Rhodium). Based on the fact above, so we do by making "´Design of CatalyticConverter with using metal copper (Cu) as catalyst.This research aims to design a catalytic converter get up, to know the efficiency of the use of metals Copper (Cu) as a catalyst and to determine the effect of CO emissions in motor vehicles.  Measurement  of the concentration of Carbon Monoxide gas emissions in the exhaust gas channel carried on standart conditions using Gas Analyzer tool. From the results of this in I find that the use of Catalytic Converters Copper (Cu) with a variety plate and the fibers  are made of copper as a catalyst to reduce CO Flue gas emissions. Efficiency decrease in CO concentration of 0.01% by using 0.2 mm Cu and copper fibers. Output CO concentration are largely influenced by changes in engine speed and vehicle fuel and air mixture entering the combustion chamber. Abstract

This research aim to analyse process tempering with lime coolant to property fisis covering assaying of chemical composition and assaying of microstructure at  Axis  S45C. Process quenching at temperature 870°C with detention of 30 minutes and tempering is done with temperature 300°C with detention of 60 minutes  . Assaying applied in this research is descriptive assaying (Assaying destroys) what applies feedstock for specimen  is Axis Steel S45C.  Composition test result shows basis material ( Raw Material) included in faction of medium carbon steel or middle carbon steel with carbon content 0,47%. After getting treatment of Quenching with cooling applies water and Tempering with cooling applies lime then is tested its(the chemical composition and microstructure  happened transformation at chemical composition content and prensentase its(the microstructure.  As for result of assaying after getting treatment process of tempering happened transformation of chemical composition that is improvement at Mn ( Manganese) out of 06308 % becomes 063131 %, Si ( Silicon) out of 023283 % becomes 023806 %, Al ( Aluminum) out of 000992 % becomes 001276 %, Cu ( Copper) out of 00077 % becomes 000859 % and V ( Vanadium) out of 000012 % becomes 000022 %.  For its(the microstructure with content pearlite equal to 95% and ferrite equal to 5% but having strain between sewer structureses is more breadth.  Application from result of this research that axis steel S45C is getting treatment of Tempering with pedingin lime can be applied as axis because memilki strength and hardness but remain to slack is not brittle.Keyword :  Qunching, Tempering, Axis S45C, Microstructure, Metal Chemical Composition

Abstract

Using the motorcycle which is more, it is influenced the pollution from the exhaust pipe in  the air. The contains of Carbonmonocsida (CO), Oksida Nitrogen (NOx), Hydrocarbon (HC) and the other things which are accumulated and will be influenced the human’s healthy and finally it is caused die.The collecting data is taken directly by researcher from the laboratory and also from the source from the person in  which  is called an interview and it had been documented in well, the documentation is connecting wich the gas and pollution. The development of Catalytic Converter had been reducing the pollution, but it is not maximize. Adding the plat of cooper in Catalytic Converter will be an alternative to reduce the pollution on it. From the research the writer get the data before using the Catalytic Converter the four stroke exhaust pipe produced 2,238 %  CO volume, HC 222,8 ppm volume. The second research on the standard exhaust pipe produced 1,66 % CO and HC 131 ppm volume. The research which is given the cooper Catalytic Converter produced only 1,66 % CO and HC 71,4 ppm volume. From the data the writer  can conclude that cooper Catalytic Converter able to reduce the pollution from the motorcycle.Keywords: Pollution, Catalytic Converter, Cooper.

Abstract

Instalasi  system  pengkondisian  udara  merupakan  suatu proses penanganan  udara. Mesin  pendingin (water chiller) yang  digunakanmempunyai  kapasitas  pendingin  600 Ton Refrigerasi  dan  laju  aliranrefrigeran (R134-a) 13,608 kg/s. Kinerja  mesin  pendingin  ditentukanoleh parameter koefisien  laju  perpindahan  kalor evaporator dankondensor, efektifitas evaporator dankondensordanfaktor fouling evaporator dankondensor.  Parameter analisakinerja yang digunakanadalah  laju  aliran  massa  refrigeran,  temperature  masuk  dan  keluarkompresor,  temperature refrigerant  pada evaporator dankondensor, tekanan evaporator dankondensor, temperatur air masuk  dan  keluar evaporator, serta  temperatur air masuk  dan  keluar  kondensor.  Melaluiperhitungan  dan  analisa data yang direkam  selama 120 hari, diperolehpenurunan  kapasitas  beban  pendingin 1,53 %, koefisienkinerja 3,12 %, efektifitas evaporator 20,52 %, dan  faktor fouling 159,24 %. Sedangkan  pada  kondensor  terjadi  penurunan  laju  perpindahan  kalor 1,34 %, efektifitas  kondensor 22,22 %, dan  kenaikan  faktor fouling 299,7 %. Abstract

Pembangkit  listrik tenaga ombak  sistem osilator  adalah untuk mencari solusi energi pengganti bahan bakar minyak.  Sudah banyak pemikiran untuk mempelajari kemungkinan pemanfaatan  energi laut yang tersimpan didalamnya. Dalam studi kasus ini, dikaji metode yang paling mungkin untuk wilayah perairan laut tertentu. Pembangkit listrik tenaga ombak sistem bandul, sistem gerak harmonik, dengan memperhitungkan ketinggian dan kecepatan ombak. Pembangkit listrik tenaga ombak metode gerak harmonik. Prinsip metode ini dengan memanfaatkan gerak osilasi benda yang mempunyai massa jenis lebih kecil dibandingkan massa jenis air laut, diletakkan di atas ombak. Osilasi ombak akan menggerakkan lengan momen naik-turun dan dilanjutkan menggerakkan dinamo, penghasil listrik.Keywords:  getaran ombak, turbin energi ombak, energi listrik.

Abstract

Pada sistem  tersebutterdiri dari beberapa komponen atau peralatanyang menunjanguntuk mengendalikan suatu  papan  reklameUntuksistem.Penggerak pada papan reklame ini seperti motoran listrik ¼ PK, gera box, V-belt, roller, dibandingkan dengan system kendali yang konvesional. Cara kerja alat ini adalah gerak lambat putaran otomatis, sesuai dengan modelnya, putaran berdasarkan gear box dan motoran listri, selain itu juga reklame yang dipasang bukan menggunakan LCD melainkan kain atau bener yang bergerak lambat dari bawah ke atas, yang nantinya dapat  digunakansebagai sarana praktek dalam memahami ssitem kendali khususnya menggunakan system putaran otomatis. Sehingga system kendali alat ini dapat dipahami dan dipraktekan oleh halayak umum.Sisitem kendali papan reklame ini dibuat bertujuan untuk keindahan kampus universitas pancasakti tegal, selain itu juga dpat dimanfaatkan sebagai media promosi yang di pasang di setiap fakultas.  Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan analisa dapat disimpulkan bahwa : Penggunaan alat ini lebih mudah dan murah dibandingkan dengan menggunakan system kendali LCD.Dalam memprogram  iniharusmemperhatikan langkah-langkah tertentu yang tidak bisa diabaikan. Saran dalammerencana suatu rangkaian kontrol tidak hanya membuat rangkaian yang baru, tetapidapat juga mengembangkan rangkaian yang sudah ada sehingga diharapkan hasilnya.Keywords: Papan Reklame, Elektrik

Abstract

Medium carbon fertilizer ST 60 in general is often used in construction of building materials and a variety of fields. Society prefers medium carbon fertilizer because this material is more easily available and relatively affordable  prices, and also the strength and tenacity are sufficient. Temperature significantly affects the mechanical properties of carbon steel is ST 60.  Formulating of the problem in this study is to determine how the mechanical properties of medium carbon steel ST 60 to temperature 00C, 260C, 500C, 1000C. The purpose of this research to know how much testing on tensile strength, hardness, and price impact. The results of research on testing with 00C yield of 696,68 N/mm2tensile test, hardness test of 201,00 HB, the impact test produces 30,35 J/cm2. In the test with a temperature of 260C produced by 694,47 N/mm2tensile test, hardness test of 200,11 HB, the impact test at 24,52 J/cm2. In the test with a temperature of 500C produced by 685,87 N/mm2tensile test, hardness test of 198,00 HB, the impact test at 41,70 J/cm2. In the test with a temperature of 1000C resulted N/mm2tensile test at 672,89 N/mm2, the hardness  of 195,56 HB, the impact test at 37,69 J/cm2. Data analysis in this study using the product moment correlation test and t-test.  The conclusion of this research is that there is a negative relationship between temperature with mechanical properties which means the higher the temperature the more down the value of tensile strength, hardness, and the price impact.Keywords: fertilizer, mechanical, temperature.

Abstract

Lost  head  can be interpreted  as a decrease  in  the pressuregradient  and is a measure  of  resistance  to  flow  through the  pipe. Barriers  to  flow  through the  pipeline  will greatly  affect  the  power needed  in  moving the  fluid  so that the  investigation of the  losthead  on  pipe  important thing to do.  Use of  Buckingham  Pitheorem  for  dimensional  analysis  will make it easier  to analyzeand  make the  move  quicker  and directed  experiments.  With theinitial data  is a function  of the  barrier  pipe diameter,  fluidviscosity,  fluid density,  pipe length, the fluid velocity  and theroughness of  the pipe.  The results indicate  a lost  connection  headper  weight of  the fluid  (w p /)  is proportional to  the piperoughness  factor  (f) is proportional to  the length of  pipe  per  pipe diameter  (L  /  d) is proportional to  the  fluid velocity  kuwadrat  pertwo times gravity (v2/2g)Keywords: Lost head, turbulent flow, the flow channel is closed
