Abstract

This study aims to do and see an overview of the organization's overall performance assessment using the concept of Balanced Scorecard on Regional Water Company (PDAM) Payakumbuh, as seen from four perspectives: financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business perspective, and learning and growth perspective .The method used is the method of survey research deskriptif approach. Obtained from data collected secondary data from company financial data and reports. In addition, through the distribution of questionnaires to the 39 existing employees at the Regional Water Company (PDAM) Payakumbuh. Processing and analyzing the data using the classical assumption test after test the validity, reliability, and data analysis.From the results of research on the measurement of company performance using the Balanced Scorecard concept , the importance of performance measurement results can be said to be good financial perspective , ie from the ROI , the Current Ratio , Profit Margin , Operating Ratio . Results of performance measurement of the level of customer perspective customer acquisition , customer retention , customer profitability , and customer satisfaction levels also showed a good performance . The results of measurements of internal business perspective , namely innovation and after-sales service company , the overall performance of the company has shown good results . The measurement results of learning and growth perspective , the employee productivity and employee retention can be said enough . While the level of employee satisfaction also showed good results . While the validity of the test results on the level of employee satisfaction can be concluded that the measurement of the five characteristics , namely ( 1 ) the policy of the company, ( 2 ) motivation to work , ( 3 ) access to information and communication , ( 4 ) the physical condition of the company , and ( 5 ) work load and salaries , showed valid results . While testing the reliability test results also showed results quite reliable .Keywords : Balanced Scorecard, Financial Perspective, Customer Perspective, Internal Business, Learning and Growth Perspective.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine empirically the effect of understanding of tax rules, the perception of the effectiveness of the tax system, and the level of confidence in the government system and law against the willingness to pay taxes on individual taxpayers who do the work free.The sample used in this study were selected from a population that is an individual taxpayer who has a work free in the Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Senapelan Pekanbaru. The sample was determined by the method of purposive random sampling. From population of taxpayers, which meets the criteria of the sample is 95 taxpayers. The Method of analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression with SPSS version 17.The results of this study showed that empirically the effect of understanding of tax rules, the perception of the effectiveness of the tax system, and the level of confidence in the government system and law simultaneously shown to significantly influence the willingness to pay taxes individual taxpayers who do the work free. The effect of understanding of tax rules on willingness to pay showed positive β1 coefficient was 0.490, with a significance of 0.000 (Significant) <0.05. Then the perception of the effectiveness of the tax system on the willingness to pay taxes showed positive β2 coefficient of 0.472, with a significance 0.040 (Significant) <0.05. Meanwhile, in partial the level of confidence in the government system and law against willingness to pay taxes have no effect as indicated by positive β3 coefficient of 0.156, with a significance of 0.106 (Not Significant)> 0.05.Keywords: the effect of understanding of tax rules, the perception of the effectiveness of the tax system, the level of confidence in the government system and law, willingness to pay.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of strategic performance measurement systems on managerial performance with clarity of roles and conflict mediation role as a banking enterprise in the city of Pekanbaru.Population in this research is all the banks in the city of Pekanbaru to sample the lower and middle level managers. Methods of data collection using questionnaires. Analysis of the data in this study using the Partial Least Square (PLS).Results of hypothesis testing in this study suggests that strategic performance measurement system has a positive effect on role conflict, strategic performance measurement system has a significant positive effect on role clarity, role conflict had no significant effect on the performance of manjerial, role clarity has no significant effect on managerial performance, strategic performance measurement system has a significant positive effect on managerial performance, and clarity of roles and role conflict did not mediate the relationship between strategic performance measurement systems on managerial performance.Keywords: managerial performance, strategic performance measurement systems, role clarity, role conflict.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of profitability as measured by ROA (X1), the structure of assets (X2), and dividend policy (X3) on debt or leverage policy (Y). The object of this study is the construction, hotel and travel services as well as real estate & property listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2011 with a total sample of 60 firms.This study uses secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis. Data collect from Indonesian Stock Exchange for this industry is thirty company which is collect for 2010-2011.Based on the analysis, it is known that the independent variables that have a significant effect on debt policy (Y) as measured by the DER is the structure of assets (X2). Meanwhile, the profitability (X1), and dividend policy (X3) has no effect on debt policy (Y). The coefficient of determination is 0.355 which shows that 35.5 % of the changes in debt policy is affected by the determinant variables used in the research model while the rest (64.7 %) is explained by other variables.Keywords : Debt Equity Ratio (DER), profitability (ROA), Asset Structure, Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR)

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of motivation on student interest in accounting education to follow the accounting profession.This study was conducted by taking a sample of 100 students of accounting faculty of economics University of Riau, and the State Islamic University of Riau Islamic University class of 2009 and 2010. The sampling was based on a purposive sampling method. Data from this study are then processed using multiple regression analysis through SPSS 17 statistical applications.The results of this study indicate that the quality and motivation motivation significantly affect the economic interest of the education of accounting students to follow the accounting profession (PPAk). While the career motivation not significantly affect the interest of the education of accounting students to follow the accounting profession (PPAk). The coefficient of determination (R2) in this study was 0.245. this suggests that the effect of independent variables on the dependent 24.5% and the remaining 75.5% is influenced by other variables.Key Word : Quality Motivation , Career Motivation, Economic Motivation and Interest To Follow The Accounting Profession Education (PPAk)

Abstract

The research was conducted in Pekanbaru, which aims to determine the effect of venture capital,labor, availability of raw materials and marketing efforts on the prospects of reaping the wood industry in Pekanbaru. The results of this study are expected to be useful to assist the company in developing a business and as an input in the making of policy.The population in this study is reaping wood industry in Pekanbaru, amounting to 51 reaping the wood industries. The technique of collecting data through questionnaires, interviews and observation methods. Analysis method using qualitative descriptive analysis.The survey results revealed that the factors affecting the development prospects of reaping thewood industry in Pekanbaru is the capital, labor and raw material availability. As for the marketing effort does not significantly affect the development prospects of reaping the wood industry in Pekanbaru. So it can be said to be reaping the wood industry prioritize these factors in making and developing businesses. In this case also required the participation of Pekanbaru Government in providing training for people who are not highly educated, especially in the field of reaping the wood and also oversees the industry that violates the rules, such as licensing issues get wood.

Abstract

This study bertjuan to analyze regional competitiveness in encouraging foreign direct investment (FDI) in Riau Province. Having regard to the economic sectors and infrastructure base. This study uses time series data between the years 2006-2011, using the Location Question (LQ) with qualitative descriptive analysis to analyze the sectors that affect foreign investment. Results of this study showed that during the period 2006-2011 leading sectors are owned riau four sectors, namely agriculture, construction, Commerce, sector, hotels and restaurants, and the services sector.This is because the value of LQ in each of these sectors is above 1. Not all sectors of the base that is in Riau province to encourage foreign investment as the four sectors, the sector was able to absorb the non base of foreign investors to invest in the province of Riau as happened in the manufacturing sector, this is evidenced by the many processing industries are being easy target for foreign investors to invest their capital.Keywords: Competitiveness, Foreign Investment, Infrastructure

Abstract

Being old is a natural phase in life that must be passed. all people in the world, aging means a change either biologically, socially and economically. This leads directly to a variety of problems that must be faced by all parties, both the elderly and even the government itself. The research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru, the purpose of this study is to identify government programs for the elderly in the city of Pekanbaru. This research was conducted using descriptive methods, namely objects owned by describing the whole, the results of in-depth interviews and observation. Conclusion the government program that is felt by the elderly as a form of address among other issues the elderly, UEP program for the elderly is still productive, home care , trauma center programs, elderly day care, social security programs, meals and assistance, institutional strengthening for social organizations that deal with the elderly.Keywords : Population aging category, program-pogram made by the City of Pekanbaru for the elderly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the impact of the European economic crisis associated with the development of the European Union economy and Indonesia to export and import from Indonesia, whether there is a European economic crisis impacts on the development of Indonesian export commodities and imports and how big the impact of the European economic crisis on the development of trade Indonesia and the European Union.The data used in this study is a secondary data was obtained from the official website of the World Bank, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the European Statistics (Eurostat) and the Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. Data taken include gross domestic product of Indonesia and the European Union, the rate of inflation in Indonesia and the European Union, Rupiah exchange rate against the Euro and the value of exports and imports of Indonesia and the European Union both oil and non -oil and gas, the period from 1992 to 2011.The method used in this research is a quantitative method to calculate the exchange rate or the terms of trade and the trade is descriptive. The results showed that gross domestic product, inflation rate, exchange rate, and the value of exports and imports showed stunted growth, contagion from the sovereign debt crisis of the European Union have a direct impact on the trade market turmoil in 2009. Followed by a weakening of commodity export and import Indonesia showed that the economic crisis in Europe has a direct impact on export and import trading activities in Indonesia. On the value of the terms of trade of Indonesia and the European Union in 1992-2012, showed an average exchange rate of the European Union and the Indonesian trade by 100 percent, this means that the state of Indonesia and the European Union is still mutually beneficial to undertake export and import trading activities amid economic turmoil global unstable sometimes.Keywords : European Economic Crisis , Export and Import Indonesia

Abstract

Development of small industries in the national economy has a role in trying toensure equal distribution of opportunities, and equal employment expansion and increasedrevenue. One of the small industries that experienced considerable improvement in the city ofPekanbaru Riau Province is home Eat Rice Industry Ramas Rumble 6000. Based on thebackground of the existing formulation of the problem and this research aims tomengetahuiprospek of development Eating Rice Ramas Rumble 6000. The population in thisstudy is the 6000 all-round restaurant in the city of Pekanbaru, at which time the study wasrecorded 15 units usahadengan total sample of 15 business units.The data was collected using interviews and observations in the field. The dataobtained were used to determine the feasibility of the 6000 all-ramas rice tobe developed in the city of Pekanbaru.The results explain that the restaurant business all-round rice ramas 6000 is eligible tobe developed in the city of Pekanbaru to absorb labor in order to reduce unemployment in thecity of Pekanbaru., Growth or an increase in the restaurant business all-round rice ramas 6000driven by the availability of raw materials in market and price stability dipasaran.Faktor thatinfluence the development of eating rice ramas home business 6000 is the all-rounddevelopment of the city of Pekanbaru in various aspects of development. In terms of revenuecontribution, ramas rice restaurant business department was able to obtain Net 6000 B / Cratio above 1 and able to provide employment for people in the city of Pekanbaru. Meanwhile,the problems faced was the unavailability of support tools for the average transportationemployers use the services of a car rental for the purposes of deliveries for events.Keywords: " small industries, business opportunities, unemployment"
