Abstract

The purpose of this study to explore the attitudes and actions of mothers with HIV AIDS stigma and discrimination people in the city of Semarang. The research was conducted with a qualitative approach. As the population of mothers with HIV-AIDS is the number of 26 people, while the number of samples is 6 people for Mother PLWHA. To triangulate the source comes from a number of health personnel and the public a number of 3 people 6 people. The collection of data used interviews and Focus Group Discussions with the techniques Data Analysis used Interactive Models. The attitudes and actions of mothers living with HIV Stigma and discrimination against people is to avoid interacting with the community and need support from family, health professionals and peers (DKS)

Abstract

Desain Research experiment quasi with pre and post test design group control. Sample size each group 18 respondents. Technics sampling used quota. The result showed both homogeneous group ( p0.005). There are difference of self care actifities and also anxiety by education health at group intervence ( p=0.000). Suggestion that is needed to improve giving information to client individually depend on the needs of patients.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to explore the effect of pocket book and video diabetic management toward knowledge and compliance level of diabetic management and blood glucose level. Design that employed was quasy ekperimental with non equivalen control group and was conducted in the time series. There were 38 respondents distributed into two groups, one of each consist of 19 respondents. Based on the Wilcoxon statistical test, the results showed that there was a significant different in the post test 2 both in the video group group (p= 0,004) and pocket book group (p= 0.001), in the knowledge level and diabetic management (video p=0.010, pocket book p= 0.005). However, there was not significant different in the blood glucose level for the both groups ( p 0.05). Based on the result, it is recommended that implementation of intervention both for video and pocket book diabetic management should be underwent periodically ino 7 days maximally, therefore the expected goals can be gained.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to survey about the graduate's working appearance based on his / her leader and colleague including the integrity capacity, communication, competency, information and technology, partnership, and self development. A quantitative research by applying survey was conducted to 42 samples (21 leaders and 21 colleagues) gained from 21 users. Research results showed that by enlarge the capacity of integrity, communication, competency, information and technology, partnership, and self development of the graduates were in good category resulted of mean score ranging from 2.57 – 3.14. However, the capability to communicating in English actively, browsing internet, being a team motivator, and involving in profession / community organization were in poor category.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to analyze factors influencing the coverage of clinical competency target of midwifery student of Diploma III in relating to midwifery clinical practice. This study is analytical study with cross-sectional approach. Population in this study is all of the third year's students at Midwifery diploma III of Semarang. There are 80 students involving in this study that has finished midwifery clinical practice. Technical sampling which was run in this study is accidental sampling. The study shows that there are relations between skill competency before clinical practice, preconference running program, and midwifery running progress, student attitude, skill evaluation, academic supervising, and clinical instructor supervising to the coverage of clinical competency target.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the risky dating activities among teenagers at senior high school in Blora, Central Java. A descriptive correlational design was employed and all data were collected using cross-sectional approach. A total of 180 samples were selected by proportional random sampling technique and all data were collected using questioners. Study results showed that there were 21 respondents (11.7%) doing petting and 15 respondents (8.5%) doing intercourse during dating. Independent variables that correlate with the risky dating activities among teenager were attitude toward risky dating (χ² = 10.881, p=0.001), the presence of friends who agree that love can be manifested by sexual activities (χ² = 9.274, p=0.002), the presence of friends who have loose behaviours in premarital sexual activity (χ² = 12.650, p=0.000), the presence of friends who told about the fun of performing sexual intercourse during dating (χ² = 10.271,p=0.001) and the presence of friends that ever doing premarital intercourse (χ² = 8.020, p=0.005). The school also needs to conduct reproductive health counseling to cultivate the right attitude about risky dating. It is also suggested that relevant agencies should take action to optimize the rules about pornographic restrictions in the interned cafes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to describe the internal customer's expectations and performance of Health Polytechnic Kemenkes Semarang, analyzing internal customer's satisfaction levels (students, lecturer and staff) to Health Polytechnic Kemenkes Semarang's services. The survey in 2009 showed that the top priority for repairs carried out are: for students, are the cost of education, for lecturers are a component of Learning Facilities, Academic Guidance and Career Development, as well as for employees are an incentive component. The survey in 2010 showed that the top priority for repairs carried out are: for students are nothing, for lecturers are Teaching Facilities, Career Development, Academic Guidance and incentives, as well as for employees are an incentive component. The survey in 2011 showed that the top priority for repairs carried out are: for students are the Education Administration, Laboratory, and Graduate Prospects, for the lecturer are teaching facilities, and incentives, as well for Employees are a component of public facilities and incentives.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the method of learning with concept maps and conference approach to the achievement of learning objectives Sampling technique was used saturated sampling method. Check-list that is used as an instrument to measure the effectiveness of using concept maps method with the method of the conference to the achievement of learning objectives clinic consisted of 25 item statements. This type of research was a quasi-experimental studies (quasi experiment), using a study design Two Independent-group post-test only. Methods of data analysis in this study using T Test - Test. The results indicate significance level of 5%, calculate r (0001) under the table r (0.05). with the concept map approach is more effective than the methods of the conference." So it can be concluded that the method of concept maps is more effective than conference approach method.

Abstract

This study is descriptive (quantitative and qualitative) with the survey approach and aims to determine the criteria for implementation of the learning process Polytechnic Kemenkes Semarang and identify educational issues include resource management, learning systems, learning models and the availability of learning tools . The population was civitas Akademika Polytechnic Kemenkes Semarang, covering 23 study program, 265 faculty and 1320 students. Samples obtained by random sampling technique, Prodi = 17 pcs (75%), lecturers = 35 people (15%) and student = 295 people (25%). Problems of education is a major obstacle to the improvement and quality assurance of learning readiness among other lecturers in the learning process is not optimal and the supporting infrastructure of academic inadequate. It is recommended to improve and maintain the quality of learning, each department needs to improve the achievement of learning activities and optimizing readiness of lecturers in the learning process and supporting infrastructure of institutions to prepare an adequate academic.
