Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the main group elemental chemistry textbooks based on problem based learning in improving student learning outcomes. The design of this study was a quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The participants in this study were sixth year chemistry education students at Universitas Sriwijaya for the 2021/2022 academic year. Test instruments was implied in this research and analyzed using statistics with N-gain data. The results showed that problem-based learning teaching materials for chemistry education students were categorized as very effective with a high level of N-gain Keywords chemistry textbooks, problem-based learning, chemistry learning outcomes.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan buku teks kimia unsur golongan utama berbasis problem based learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi-experimental-one group pretest-posttest design. artisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan kimia Universitas Sriwijaya pada semester 6 yang terdiri dari kelas A dan kelas B tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk siswa pendidikan kimia dikategorikan sangat efektif dengan skor N-gain yang dikategorikan tinggi.  Kata kunci buku teks kimia, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, hasil belajar kimia. Abstract

Abstract: In cells, many phenomena occur such as metabolism to protein synthesis, these become abstract and cause students to have difficulty understanding them. A good learning experience is needed so that students can understand the concept correctly. One learning strategy that provides a learning experience to discover and understand concepts is the Think Talk Write learning strategy. This study uses a pre-experimental design method. The subjects in this study were students of class XI science at Muhammadiyah 5 Rancaekek high school. Mastery of concepts measured in this study were C1 (memorization), C2 (understanding), C3 (application), and C4 (Analysis). Based on the results of data processing, the pretest value was 47.22 while the posttest value was 65.28. The results of the analysis using the paired sample T-Test obtained from the pretest and posttest values of 0.00, this value indicates that sign α = 0.00 0.05. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an effectiveness of using the Think Talk Write learning strategy on mastery of concepts in cell material.   Keywords: think talk write, concept mastery, cell    Abstrak: Di dalam sel banyak fenomena yang terjadi seperti metabolisme hingga sintesis protein, hal ini menjadi abstrak dan menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahaminya. Diperlukan sebuah pengalaman belajar yang baik sehingga siswa dapat memahami konsep secara benar. Salah satu strategy pembelajaran yang memberikan sebuah pengalaman belajar untuk menemukan dan memahami konsep adalah strategy pembelajaran Think Talk Write. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experimental design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Rancaekek. Penguasaan konsep yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah C1 (hafalan), C2 (pemahaman), C3 (penerapan), dan C4 (Analisis). Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data diperoleh nilai pretest sebesar 47,22 sedangkan nilai posttest sebesar 65,28. Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan uji paired sample T-Test diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan posttest sebesar 0,00, nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa signα = 0,000,05. Abstract

Abstract Mathematical critical thinking is an important ability in learning mathematics. In fact, students' mathematical critical thinking ability still low. The purpose of this study to analyze students' mathematical critical thinking ability in the flat sided spaces material. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative, with subject students of class IX MTs Miftahuddin. The instruments are tests of mathematical critical thinking ability and interview guidelines. The test to determine students' mathematical critical thinking skills and interview guidelines to deepen the analysis. The result is each student can meet different indicators. Overall, the average mathematical critical thinking ability of MTs Miftahuddin students in solving flat sided space material is high. Because students understand the material well and use to solving questions in the form of word problems. Indirectly, students have carried to indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability.   Keywords profile of critical thinking ability, flat side space. Abstrak Berpikir kritis matematis merupakan kemampuan penting dalam mempelajari matematika. Faktanya, kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek siswa MTs Miftahuddin kelas IX. Adapun instrumen yang digunkan yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Tujuan dilakukannya tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dan pedoman wawancara untuk memperdalam hasil analisis. Hasilnya adalah setiap siswa dapat memenuhi indikator yang berbeda-beda. Secara keseluruhan, rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa MTs Miftahuddin dalam menyelesaikan soal materi bangun ruang sisi datar tergolong tinggi. Karena siswa menguasai materi dengan baik dan terbiasa menyelesaikan soal berbentuk soal cerita sehingga secara tidak langsung, sisiwa telah melakukan kegiatan yang mengarah kepada indikator-indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis.   Kata kunci profil kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, bangun ruang sisi datar.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1527-1538

Abstract

Abstract: The low score of MAN 1 Medan students in Biology material is due to the low interest in reading. The purpose of this study is to find out how to develop digital comic-based learning media and the influence of the use of digital comics on reading interest in human digestive system material. This type of research uses the ADDIE development model. Which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Based on the results of material expert validation, the assessment achieved on average is very feasible with a percentage of 100%. Based on the validation results of media experts, the assessment achieved on average is very feasible with a percentage of 94%. And obtained an N-Gain score of 0.56 with a moderate category. It can be concluded that the applied digital comic learning media is effectively used to increase students' interest in reading with a moderate effectiveness category.   Keywords: interest in reading, digital comics, ADDIE models, human digestive system    Abstrak: Rendahnya nilai siswa MAN 1 Medan  pada materi Biologi dikarenakan rendahnya minat baca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui cara pengembangkan media belajar berbasis komik digital dan pengaruh penggunaan komik digital terhadap minat baca pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia. Jenis penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Yang mana terdiri dari lima tahapan, yaitu Analisis (Analysis), Desain (Design), Pengembangan (Development), Implementasi (Implementation), dan Evaluasi (Evaluation). Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi, penilaian yang dicapai rata-rata adalah sangat layak dengan persentase 100%. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli media, penilaian yang dicapai rata-rata adalah sangat layak dengan persentase 94%. Dan diperoleh  skor N-Gain sebesar 0,56 dengan kategori sedang. Abstract

Abstract 21st century skills should ideally be able to provide a foundation to today's learning. The purpose of this study intends to investigate the use of whiteboard fox in mathematics learning that accommodates 21st century skills. Qualitative research methods with case study types are used to uncover 21st century skills in mathematics learning using whiteboard fox. The research site is located in one of the North Jakarta State High Schools. Purposive sampling techniques were used to answer research questions in which out of 31 students 10 students were selected who were assumed to be able to provide saturated information as well as a primary data source. Data collection techniques use structured interviews with reference to 21st century skill indicators in the context of the use of whiteboard fox in mathematics learning. Data were analyzed using the 2022 version of MAXQDA through coding, sub-coding, in-vivo and MAXMaps visualization processes. The results showed various aspects that emerged in mathematics learning using whiteboard fox related to 21st century skills.   Keywords whiteboard fox, 21st century skills, math learning. Abstrak Keterampilan abad ke-21 idealnya mampu memberikan pondasi pada pembelajaran hari ini. Tujuan penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menginvestigasi pemanfaatan whiteboard fox dalam pembelajaran matematika yang mengakomodir keterampilan abad 21. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus digunakan untuk mengungkap keterampilan abad 21 dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan whiteboard fox. Tempat penelitian berlokasi di salah satu SMA Negeri Jakarta Utara. Teknik purposive sampling digunakan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian dimana dari 31 siswa dipilih 10 siswa yang diasumsikan mampu memberikan informasi yang jenuh sekaligus sebagai sumber data primer. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara terstruktur dengan merujuk kepada indikator keterampilan abad 21 dalam konteks pemanfaatan whiteboard fox dalam pembelajaran matematika. Data dianalisis menggunakan MAXQDA versi 2022 melalui proses coding, sub-coding, in-vivo dan visualisasi MAXMaps. Abstract

Abstract This study objective was to describe the validity, practicality and effectiveness of Blended Learning-based Student Worksheets on environmental change materials using the PRIMA Learning model in improving Science Process Skills. This study was conducted at SMA State 1 Batudaa Pantai Senior High School and employed ADDIE development model. The result demonstrated that the developed blended learning-based worksheets were valid for use in schools with the assessment result from validators in the score range of 89.2 percent - 91.7 percent (extremely valid). Students’ worksheet practicality can be observable from several stages, including student activities, learning implementation, student responses’ results with an average value of 91.25 percent, 100 percent, 93 percent (perfectly acceptable). Further, Students worksheet effectiveness test based on the N-Gain score obtained a result of 0.68 (Effective), and the percentage N-Gain value (percent) is 68 (moderately effective).In conclusion, the said learning is valid, practical, and effective in learning biology in class X SMA 1 Batudaa Pantai Senior High School. Keywords students’ worksheet, environmental change, science process skills. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas,kepraktisan dan keefektifan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik berbasis blended learning pada materi perubahan lingkungan menggunakan model Pembelajaran PRIMA dalam meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA N 1 Batudaa Pantai. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Students’ worksheet berbasis blended learning yang dikembangkan telah valid untuk digunakan di sekolah dengan hasil penilaian dari validator yaitu pada rentang skor 89.2 persen - 91.7 persen (sangat valid). Kepraktisan Students’ worksheet berbasis blended learning dilihat dari beberapa tahap yaitu aktivitas peserta didik, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, respon peserta didik  memperoleh hasil dengan nilai rata-rata 91,25 persen, 100 persen, 93 persen (sangat layak).Uji Keefektifan Students’ worksheet berdasarkan N-Gain skor yang menghasilkan 0,68 (Efektif), dan nilai N-Gain presentase (persen) yaitu 68 (cukup efektif). Kesimpulannya bahwa Students’ worksheet berbasis blended learning pada materi Perubahan Lingkungan menggunakan model Pembelajaran PRIMA untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains valid, praktis dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran Biologi di kelas X SMA 1 Batudaa Pantai.  Kata kunci lembar kerja peserta didik, perubahan lingkungan, keterampilan proses sains.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1337-1346

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to find out how the influence of Jigsaw learning strategies on students' metacognition development. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to students in both classes, namely control and experiment. The population in this study was 56 students. From this study, it was found that the use of the Jigsaw type learning model in MA could provide an increase in students' metacognition. This is indicated by the average number of students' metacognition in the treatment class is higher than in the control class, namely 7,643 for the treatment group and 6,286 for the control group. The treatment class is smaller than the control class if the standard deviation is the benchmark, with 0.1174 for the treatment class and 0.1442 for the control class, which means that the jigsaw type cooperative learning model has an effect on improving students' metacognition. . Keywords cooperative learning, jigsaw, metacognition. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu bagaimana pengaruh strategi belajar Jigsaw pada perkembangan metakogni Murid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner pada murid terhadap kedua kelas yaitu kontrol dan ekperimen. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 56 Murid. Dari penelitian ini menemukan hasil jika penggunaan model pembelajaran tipe Jigsaw di MA bisa memberikan peningkatan pada metakognisi murid. Hal ini ditandai dengan  jumlah rata-rata metakogni Murid pada kelas perlakukan lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol, yaitu  7,643 untuk kelompok perlakukan dan 6,286 untuk kelompok kontrol. Kelas perlakuan lebih kecil dari kelas kontrol apabila standar deviasinya menjadi tolak ukur, yaitu dengan  0,1174 untuk kelas perlakukan dan 0,1442 untuk kelas kontrol yang artinya, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw memiliki pengaruh dalam meningkatkan metakognisi siswa.   Kata kunci Pembelajaran kooperatif, Jigsaw, metakognisi.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1464-14710

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to develop the mathematics learning media with ethnomathematics base for SMP (Junior High School) students at traditional house of Rejang Lebong and the media must valid, practice and effective. The research which used is research which developed by using ADDIE model with 5 steps, they are: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) evaluation. The subjects in this research are 24 students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 36 Rejang Lebong. The data instrument which collected in this research consist of validity sheet, practical sheet and a sheet of concept understanding capability test. Data are analyzed by using descriptive statistics to describe the average from students’ concept understanding. Validity is analyzed by using Aiken Index. The result shows that mathematics learning media with ethnomathematics base at Rumah Adat Rejang Lebong is Valid with average Aiken Index score on material aspect is 0,81 and media aspect is 0,92 with valid criteria. Learning media has practical criteria from the teacher and students’’ point of view. Interactive learning media product with ethnomathematics has followed the effective criteria according to students’ capability in understanding the concept. It is showed from the percentage of students’ completeness achievement is 82,68% with average score is 83,33. Keywords: development research, ethnomathematics, rumah adat, concept understanding. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis etnomatematika pada rumah adat Rejang Lebong untuk siswa SMP yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Branch, 2009) dengan lima tahapan, yaitu: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, dan (5) evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 36 Rejang Lebong sebanyak 24 orang peserta didik. Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar validitas, lembar kepraktisan, dan lembar tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan rata-rata pemamahan konsep peserta didik. Validitas dianalisis menggunakan indeks Aiken. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran matematika berbasis etnomatematika pada rumah adat Rejang Lebong valid dengan rata-rata skor indek Aiken pada aspek materi sebesar 0,81 dan aspek media 0,92 dengan kriteria valid. Media pembelajaran memiliki kriteria praktis ditinjau dari penilaian guru dan peserta didik. Produk media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis etnomatika memenuhi kriteria efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the feasibility of the e-Module Based on Science Literacy (e-MLIST) in the Basic Physics course on the topic motion kinematics. The e-MLIST media could be the answer to the paradigm shift in the world of education during COVID-19. This study applied research and development with the Decide, Design, Develop, and Evaluate (DDDE) model to create the electronic modules. The e-MLIST has several advantages, such as the Module being electronic-based, which offers flexible utility. It means e-MILST can be used whenever and wherever it is located. The e-MILST could be used to train students' scientific literacy skills in Basic Physics One lecture on motion kinematics. In this case, e- MILST will be used as a source of learning and teaching materials in the Basic Physics One course, whether offline, online or hybrid. The analysis results show that the e-MLIST is very valid, with 91.69 percent validity, The practicality of using e-MLIST in basic physics lectures 1 motion kinematics material is 87.13 percent with excellent criteria and The effectiveness of the use of e-MLIST in basic physics lectures 1 motion kinematics material is seen from the improvement of students' science literacy skills by n-gain 0.57 with moderate criteria. This means that e-MILST is worthy of being used as a learning media in basic physics lectures 1 topic of motion kinematics. Keywords e-module, science literacy, physics learning.   Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan modul elektronik berbasis literasi sainse-MLIST pada mata kuliah Fisika Dasar pada topik kinematika gerak. Media e-MLIST bisa menjadi jawaban atas pergeseran paradigma dunia pendidikan selama COVID-19. Penelitian ini menerapkan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model Decide, Design, Develop, and Evaluate (DDDE) untuk membuat modul elektronik. e-MLIST memiliki beberapa keunggulan, seperti Modul berbasis elektronik, yang menawarkan utilitas yang fleksibel. Artinya e-MILST dapat digunakan kapanpun dan dimanapun berada. e-MILST dapat digunakan untuk melatih kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Basic Physics One pada kinematika gerak. Dalam hal ini, e-MILST akan digunakan sebagai sumber belajar dan bahan ajar pada mata kuliah Fisika Dasar Satu, baik offline, online maupun hybrid. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa e-MLIST sangat valid, dengan validitas 91,69 persen, Kepraktisan penggunaan e-MLIST pada materi kuliah fisika dasar 1 gerak kinematika sebesar 87,13 persen dengan kriteria sangat baik dan Efektifitas penggunaan e-MLIST dalam materi kinematika gerak fisika dasar 1 dilihat dari peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa sebesar n-gain 0,57 dengan kriteria sedang. Abstract

Abstract The achievement of high school graduates' competence is continuously improved by the government in Indonesia, one of which is by implementing the Minimum Competence Assessment. The main problem in its application is the limitations of similar problem models provided in classroom learning so that students are not accustomed to solving them. The purpose of this research is to produce mathematical reasoning questions using the Minimum Competence Assessment model for junior high school students that are valid, reliable, and have a potential impact. This research is development research with two stages of developing Tessmer’s model, namely: (1) Preliminary and (2) formative evaluation stage, which consists of self-evaluation, prototyping (expert reviews and small group), and field tests. The trial subjects of this study were 25 students of class VIII Bengkulu state junior high school 7 in Bengkulu City. The results of the study obtained questions that met valid criteria with an Aiken index each of which was more than 0.5. The questions meet reliable criteria with a count of more than 0.6 and are in the high category. The questions have a potential impact with sufficient students' selection abilities on average and students giving a good response of more than 50.00 percent. The suggestion from the research is that the teacher encourages choosing a real context to present the problem in mathematics learning.   Keywords development research, instrument test, mathematical reasoning, minimum competence assessment. Abstrak Capaian kompetensi lulusan sekolah menengah terus ditingkatkan oleh pemerintah di Indonesia, salah satunya dengan menerapkan Asesmen Kompentensi Minimum (AKM). Permasalahan utama dalam penerapannya adalah keterbatasan model soal serupa yang disediakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas sehingga siswa tidak terbiasa menyelesaikannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan soal matematika penalaran model AKM untuk siswa SMP yang valid, reliabel, dan memiliki dampak potensial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan dua tahap pengembangan model Tessmer, yaitu: (1) Preliminary, dan (2) tahap formative evaluation yang terdiri dari: self-evaluation, prototyping (expert reviews dan small group) serta field test. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kota Bengkulu sebanyak 25 orang. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dua paket soal yang memenuhi kriteria valid dengan indeks Aiken masing-masing lebih dari 0,5. Soal memenuhi kriteria reliabel dengan rhitung lebih dari 0,6 dan kategori tinggi. Soal memiliki dampak pontesial yang dengan kriteria kemampuan siswa secara rata-rata cukup dan siswa memberikan respon baik lebih dari 50,00 persen.
