Abstract

The amount of zakat funds that must be distributed to mustahiq as well as demands for a guaranteed security system in zakat management become the main focus to attain the goal of zakat management; that is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services. Therefore, to attend this goal, blockchain technology is created, which is a digital data storage system consisting of multiservers. This current study explains the legality and validity of zakat blockchain in Indonesia. In collecting data, qualitative approach was employed established in the form of literature review. The techniques of data analysis used were data reduction, data presentation, data triangulation, verification and conclusion of the obtained data. The results indicate that blockchain technology for zakat management is permissible to be used as long as it is not against the Shari’a principles and does not cause mafsadah (harm) or negative consequences. However, regulation that specifies the technology of zakat blockchain in Indonesia is not issued yet, and also some obstacles in its application are still found due to the regions of Indonesian have conditions that are different from one another.

Abstract

The existence of Islamic Finance in almost the whole areas of Aceh should result in prosperity to the people of Aceh (Acehnese). However, things occurred in the actual condition is completely the opposite, which according to the data, it shows that Aceh became the poorest province on the island of Sumatra in 2020. This study employed qualitative data concerning on discovering the role of Islamic banks in optimizing zakat in Aceh. The data was conducted under the form of literature review. The data sources used were secondary data through existing literatures, previous researches, and other relevant data. The results of the study indicate that Islamic banks have a significant role in optimizing zakat in Aceh. This covers the role of the Islamic bank as a central intermediary among various parties and their performances piloted by the resources they have. These roles include building interconnections between Islamic social finance and Islamic commercial finance, promoting and developing applications of Islamic principles through CSR funds, collaborating with various LAZs by utilizing existing banking facilities to collect zakat funds and increasing zakat literacy to customers.

Abstract

Halal tourism is a tourism that prioritizes to provide facilities for visitors that are in accordance with Islamic teachings. However, halal tourism is often misinterpreted by people that accordingly results in misunderstandings among the communities. This study aims to explain the development of halal tourism in the Land above the Cloud, pong torra’ in North Toraja Regency. The method employed was qualitative method, which specifically used descriptive analytical approach to holistically understand the phenomenon that occurred in the area being investigated. The result revealed that the development of halal tourism in North Toraja Regency still became polemics which was accordingly rejected as the immediate impact of the lack of socialization to the community. In addition, the provision of Islamic religious facilities and infrastructure prepared by the manager had not been maximized. Based on the result of this study, it can be concluded that intense communication is highly required between the government and the community to avoid the misconception about halal tourism. Furthermore, it is necessary to improve the facilities and infrastructure in order to attract more Muslim tourists to visit.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the efficiency level of OPZ performance in Indonesia from 2017 to 2019 period. This study employed non-parametric quantitative methods, and the technique of data collection was documentation which was collected from secondary data, including annual financial reports of BAZNAS, Rumah Zakat, Dompet Dhuafa, ACT, and PKPU for the period 2017-2019. There were two variables i.e. input and output variables. The input variable consists of total assets and operational costs, while the output variable is the receipt and the distribution of zakat funds. According to the analysis result using DEA method, it shows that the institutions with efficiency levels of 100% in 2017 were ACT, BAZNAS, and Dompet Dhuafa; Dompet Dhuafa and Rumah Zakat in 2018; and in 2019 were BAZNAS and Rumah Zakat. In 2018 and 2019, the efficiency values of ACT were relatively declined, while from 2017 to 2020 PKPU did not reach 100% or inefficiency. Inefficiency can be handled by setting targets according to the amount specified in the calculation of DEA scale efficiency.

Abstract

Di masa pandemi Covid-19 yang masih melanda Indonesia, penggunaan fintech e-Payment semakin meningkat, terutama di era PPKM saat ini. Dari data Asosiasi fintech Indonesia dan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan tahun 2017, pelaku fintech di Indonesia didominasi oleh bisnis pembayaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan keuangan dan kualitas informasi terhadap sikap keuangan untuk mengetahui kepuasan masyarakat dalam menggunakan e-Payment fintech. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang dikumpulkan dengan metode survei dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada pengguna layanan e-Payment fintech pada tiga layanan pembayaran seluler yang paling dikenal dan jumlah pengguna yang besar di masyarakat Indonesia, yaitu Gopay, Ovo, dan T-Cash. Data diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis partial least squares (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan keuangan dan kualitas informasi mempengaruhi sikap keuangan melalui kepuasan masyarakat dalam menggunakan e-Payment fintech.

Abstract

Islamic banking is a Islamic financial institution that has obligations on the social dimension by utilizing Islamic social finance institutions is cash waqf. The purpose of this study is to analize the implementation of cash waqf in Indonesia and significance of Islamic banks in managing cash waqf and to provide a model for developing cash waqf by Islamic banks. This research is a qualitative descriptive analysis with an inductive reasoning approach through the process of content analysis and library research. The results of this study indicate Islamic banking has become part its management, but has not optimal. Islamic banks only collect funds, while the management and distribution of them become the responsibility of nazhir. The significance of Islamic banking to manage cash waqf has advantages in terms of professionalism, transparency, accountability, facilities, technology infrastructure, human resources, risk level, extensive network, easy access, and public trust. The research also formulated a cash waqf management model in the form of synergy of Islamic banking with waqf nazhir and customers. The implications of this research are so that Islamic banks regard to management mecanism of cash wqaf and it regulatory aspects to improve the optimization of cash waqf management in Indonesia and provide benefits for Islamic banks and restore the image of Islamic banks to their social functions.

Abstract

تعد عقود الاستصناع إحدى الصيغ التمويلية التي ظهرت حديثا للوفاء بحاجات لم تكن بارزة أو ملحة في وقت سابق ولكنها اليوم تمثل حاجة ماسة لتلبية مطالب اقتصادية مهمة كعقود المقاولات في المباني والمنشآت الضخمة، من هنا جاءت أهمية هذه الورقة كمحاولة لتأصيل موضوع الاستصناع فقهيا وبحث مدى تطابق الواقع التطبيقي مع الصيغة الشرعية لها وفق منهج دراسة الحالة، وذلك بمعرفة التطبيق المعاصر لعقد الاستصناع والجوانب التطبيقية لهذا العقد في بنك البلاد السعودي كحالة دراسية تمكننا من عقد مقارنة فقهية اقتصادية لهذا العقد خلال الفترة 2010-2019. خلصت الدراسة الى أنه بمقارنة الصورة المعاصرة لعقد الاستصناع مع مفهوم وشروط العقد عند الفقهاء نجد أن هذا التطبيق لم يخرج عن الضوابط والشروط التي حددها الفقهاء، الا أنه بصورته المعاصرة قد توسع ليشمل كثير من المجالات التي يقع فيه الاستصناع والتي لم تكن معروفه في وقت سابق كتطور طبيعي في مسار الحياة، ولما كان لهذا العقد من أهمية اقتصادية كأحد مصادر تمويل المشروعات الاقتصادية فقد عمل العلماء على تطوير هذا العقد بصورته الحالية ليتواكب مع طبيعة الظروف الاقتصادية المعروفة اليوم.

Abstract

One of the important elements of development that needs attention is social and economic development for women. The role of women in the development of the Islamic economic sector is now very significant. This has had many positive impacts on both sharia economic growth and the Indonesian economy in general. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the economic empowerment program in empowered women learning groups (KBPB) which is a CSR program of PT. Pertamina Marketing Operation Region VII, Ujung Tanah District, Makassar City. This research uses descriptive quantitative research, with a total sample of 30 respondents. The results showed that 70% of respondents were able to start SME businesses independently after participating in the KBPB program, and 30% had not been able to develop their businesses independently. Based on the perceived changes that 50% of participants were able to develop productive activities in the economic field, 40% strongly agreed that after participating in the program participants were able to self-actualize, and 40% strongly agreed that they were able to collaborate with others to form a business after joining the KBPB program.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the interest of the people of Asahan Regency in the use of OVO products. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a sample of 73 respondents belonging to millennials. From the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the potential for developing E-Money in Millennials can be developed because of the results of research that has been carried out the percentage of interest in using OVO E-Money is at a moderate level with a percentage of 45% and a high interest in using OVO is 27%. This can trigger the use of OVO E-Money with marketing programs and target markets from OVO itself. Keywords : Development, E-Money, Milenial

Abstract

Integration of Islam with local wisdom in business development in Mandailing Natal Regency as an effort to improve the economy and welfare by rejecting the concept of exploitation and discrimination but prioritizing the value of benefit in the midst of the proliferation of franchised businesses. This study aims to analyze the development of sharia-based local wisdom business in Mandailing Natal Regency. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Sources of data are described from the results of observations, interviews, and documents as well as relevant references to understand socio-cultural both in attitudes, motivations and people's expectations related to business development by analyzing data using qualitative methods. The results show that business development by integrating Islamic values ​​with local wisdom of Mandailing Natal referring to the philosophy of Dalihan Na Tolu, Marsialap ari Marsalapari and Poda Na Lima, is a strategic step in developing a business so that it can compete with franchise businesses, in line with the adage “Hombardo adat dohot worship as a way of life. Steps that need to be developed are regulations, new innovations and management and marketing strategies that are tailored to the needs of the community and market and according to sharia principles as an effort to realize a balance of welfare and happiness in this world and the hereafter.
