Studentâs magister is one of user library university of Indonesia those who need information regarding duty as carried out college. With different backgrounds students as, made they need facilities sources of information easy and efficient. The library University of Indonesia the provision of information service, including service online reference to access the international journal address URL through: http: // remote-lib.ui.ac.id (EZProxy to access international journals). This service is facilities remote access, connected with resource at a network central from one location. Students can access journal electronic wherever and anytime simply by making log-in through single sign on. Synthesis a problem in this research is to find how the facility of an EZProxy ui by student magister library and science university of Indonesia? For the purpose to get the facility of a remote lib ui to access the international journal of student magister library science. The result of this research can be a useful tool as input to studentâs library science to develop study would check in the field of library services. Research locations in university Indonesia, election student magister library science, because have a background various activity. With a population of consists of 25 students. And techniques the sample collection by using non probability of sampling with the methods purposive sampling. The sample in this research were informants ever use the service of EZProxy (http: // remote-lib.ui.ac.id) at least once. The majority of informants interviewed 4 people with distribution 2 men and women 2. Technique the data collection was done in two ways that is observation and interview. The next step is to analyzed data. Analysis of data done by means of transcrip the results of interviews, then the data reduced, presentation of data and the withdrawal of conclusion. This research result indicates that the utilization of EZProxy to access international journals by student magister library of science university of Indonesia based on (1) ease in search of articles the international journal, (2) are provided free of charge by a library university of Indonesia so it is more efficient. (3) Can be accessed wherever and anytime, (4) the utilization is very easy, not convoluted (5) Simple, summarized in one online database. So users not get confused. Today, the use of traditional reference desk in the academic libraries has been rarely used, thus expanding or even move to a virtual reference service. A minimum level of virtual reference services are provided in the academic library is currently in general is the electronic mail (e-mail). One of the academic library specifically provide virtual reference services via e-mail is a Petra Christian University (PCU) Library (refdesk@petra.ac.id.). In such services librarians provide assistance to users in finding information and answer questions. This study aimed to analyze the transaction reference services virtually through e-mail at the PCU Library, with a view of the types of questions based on user background, the writing style of language communication interaction used based on user background, and cultural values are revealed behind the user in virtual reference services (e-mail). This study uses content analysis (content analysis) of the transcript e-mail received librarians of reference services began March 10 until June 16, 2015. The results showed that the types of questions asked in reference service virtual (e-mail) in the Library UK Petra include: specific search, access online resources, operation of online resources, policies and procedures for services, and library holdings with background the student (PCU and non-PCU), faculty, and librarians. Based on the background of users found that overall more types of questions asked in virtual reference services (e-mail) is a problem of access to online resources, and generally submitted by the students. Then, the writing style of the users language in interaction reference service virtual (e-mail) tends to be formal, which includes the word greeting, the message will be delivered, and regards cover, either by the student (PCU and non-PCU), lecturer, or librarians. While cultural values that revealed the background behind the user in virtual reference services (e-mail) is obedience, courtesy and politeness users. Modern libraries are characterized by the diversity of information services to users, including to fulfill the information needs of researchers. Fulfill the information requirements for this research group is very important because the information provided affect the quality of research. Library of STIE Perbanas Surabaya efforts to fulfill the information needs of researchers is to provide research resources through the provision of access annual and financial report for go public company. To provide convenience to users who do research and need annual and financial report for go public, library of STIE Perbanas Surabaya provide easy access through online catalog. To fulfill the annual and financial report for go public company, library tracking data on Indonesian stock exchange and go public company. Library attempts to provide easy access to information is expected to support a process that requires researchers andÂ annual and financial report data so as to improve the quality and quantity of scientific works in the field of economics science, especially for subject of banking, finance and business.Â

Public Health Information Behavior at Flood-Prone Area In Bandung Regency: A Case Study in Baleendah Village, Andir Village, Bojongsoang Village and Dayeuh Kolot Village Kurniasih, Nuning; Sukaesih, Sukaesih

This study aims to understand the public health information behavior in the vicinity of flood prone area by examining 1) The public health information behavior in identifying diseases that may occur because of a flood. 2) The information behavior in finding health information solution required for dealing with diseases that may occur because of a flood. 3) The public health information behavior in determining health information sources which is used. 4) The public health information behavior in making use of health information for diseases that may occur because of a flood. 5) The public health information behavior in making use of health institution to satisfy its information needs. 6) The publicÂ health information behaviorÂ in flood prone area. The method used in this research is qualitative method supported by Case Study approach. In this research, we analyze data obtained from Focus Group Discussion (FGD) conducted by 11 informants and in-depth interview with 20 interviewees Â that are competent with this research research for triangulation. The result of this research reveals that people living in the flood prone area vicinity in Baleendah Village, Andir Village, Dayeuh Kolot Village and Bojongsoang Village, Bandung Regency (1) identify the potential of a flood disease based on their experience and identification during a flood (2) search for health information solution required for overcoming disease potential because of a flood by asking directly to a doctor or health center staff or volunteers during a flood. For psychological problem, usually people consult with religious leader, although Social Agency provice service to overcome this problem. (3) The main information source used is one that is informed by the health center or village midwife. (4) People use health information to help healing process when they get sick during the disaster. Health information obtained when a flood does not happen is only for adding insights. (5) Health Agency through health center and village midwife are actively involved to give health counseling to the public on various occasions. Those five things influence The public health information behavior in the flood prone area.

This research studied on The Posyandu Roles as Mothers and Children Health Information Center in Narawita Village Cicalengka County Bandung Regency. With objectives to find out community perceptions toward the Posyandu (center of integrated health services) Programs, its roles in improving health quality of mothers and children, and the Posyandu as an information center for communities, this study used qualitative method and data are gathered through interviews, observations, focus group discussion, and a literature study. The respondents are Posyandu cadres, the Village PKK (family welfare program) cadres, medical practitioners, and the posyandu members. The results show that the communities perceptions toward Posyandu Programs are adequately positive, Posyandu has important roles in improving the health of mothers and children through health service processes, and Posyandu has became as a community health information center.

The Usage of Web 2.0 as Promotion Media in Indonesia University Libraries Anna, Nove E. Variant

The usage of web 2.0 has become popular among young people in Indonesia. One of the purpose of using web 2.0 is for promotion in some university libraries. The emerging of the web 2.0 as promotional media is corelating with the development of digital library. The paper aims are (1) to describe the usage of web 2.0 for academic libraries promotion. (2) to describe the information / content of those web 2.0. (3) to describe the promotion activity through web 2.0. This research population is all university libraries in Indonesia, but only 40 university librraries that conduct promotion through web 2.0. The website observation is done between May-July 2013. The research results are (1) the university libraries in Indonesia are use facebook, twitter, and flikr to promote library programs and interaction with users. The web 2.0 consist of information about new book release, user education, general information about library services, and information literacy. (3) some of univerity libraries taking seriously and actively promote their library services, but some of them are donât use the web 2.0.

Digital Preservation of Photojournalism Case Study of the Kompas Daily Ratnawati, Sintha; Rahmawati, Yuli

Newspapers present information to the public on various topics, such as politics, economics, culture, and sports. Through its preaching, newspapers report a number of valuable events as historical records. Photos, complementing the news, come with a visual approach. Based on the rules of journalism, the photo meets the qualification as a reference source. Kompas Daily, published since June 28, 1965, immortalize various milestones in the work of photographs, stored in printed format, positive and negative, and digitized. Digitization becomes the preferred way to perpetuate the value contained in the printed photo work. Digitization is done for positive and negative photos taking into account the weight of journalism and the condition of the material. This activity is handled by Kompas Information Center through the process of media transfer, indexing, and synchronization. Two important issues to ensure optimization of the digitization result are metadata standardization and an integrated retrieval system. Metadata standardization is formulated based on guidelines developed specifically for the publishing industry, the IIM standard, combined with subjectÂ category modifications known as IPTC NewsCodes. Integrated retrieval systems are built to include the completeness of the source information of the publication as enrichment. This system connects to the full data of photo creation, storage procedure, and the mechanism of retrieval. The Information Lifecycle concept offers one more link, the utilization of digitization results to create new information.

Research Trends in Islamic Studies on Journal of Research and Development and Training Center Ministry of Religious Affairs: Using Co-Words Hariyah, Hariyah

Since published in 1976, no studies about the development of the theme or subject of the journal articlesÂ published by Research and Development and Training Center Ministry of Religious Affairs, that are useful to see the development of science onÂ religious social fields. Based on that, the aim of this paper is to find out research trends in Islamic studies on journal articles published by Research and Development and Training Center Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2005 â 2014. This study uses analysis of co-words with exploratory quantitative approach. This approach explores areas that have not been studied previously. The whole issue of the journal article Research and Development and Training Agency Ministry of Religious Affairs, published in 2005 - 2014 are used as the unit of analysis in this study. The article studied consisted of 1,107 articles contained in four journals. The results showedÂ Subject (descriptor) most appear on clustering over a span of 10 years (2005-2014) are the Islamic Education and Concord. This suggests that the study of Islamic Education and Concord almost throughout the year. Besides, this subject in accordance with the mission of Ministry of Religious Affairs and strategic plan of Research and Development and Training Agency. The distribution of other subjects such as Islamic Manuscripts, Religion, InterReligious Forum, Pornography, Jihad, Islamic Sects, Civil Society, Quran, Conflict, Muslim Scholar, Zakat are popular subjects that became a topic of research over a span of ten years. This subject does not always show up every year and the number of articles are smaller.Â

Quality Collection Analysis of Digital Library of Universitas Airlangga Halim, Yunus Abdul

Digital library is a library that has a collection of books in the form of digital formats and which can be accessed by computer. The digital collection is usually a collection of research, thesis, thesis, desertation and e-book. The quality of the collection is crucial to the development of digital libraries. This study uses IFLA standard (2001), where the quality of digital collections can be measured from the quality of the content, access collection and information retrieval. This study aims to analyze the quality of digital library collection of Airlangga University using quantitative discriptive method with 100 respondents. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the quality of digital library collection of Airlangga University is very good, that is 87.32% with assessment for collection content (86.72%), access collection (93.33%) and information retrieval (81.93%). Development needs to be done to model information retrieval in order to use the weighting method and index because the method used only uses query methods without considering the users searching behavior.Â
