Abstract

The ability of mathematical representation in learning is very necessary, especially in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to examine the ability of students' mathematical representation in learning mathematics. Data is collected through related journals for review. The research method chosen in this study was to find the SRL (Systematic Literature Review) method. Data collection was carried out by documenting and reviewing all articles on mathematical representation abilities published in the period 2016-2021. The articles used in this study were 29 international journal articles indexed by Scopus and 31 nationally accredited which were obtained from the undergraduate google database using the publish or perish application. The ability of mathematical representation is very closely related to students, especially in learning mathematics, which is a form of interpretation of students' thoughts on problems that are used as tools to find solutions to mathematical problems. The results showed that the ability of mathematical representation in learning mathematics can be improved by providing innovations in learning and providing opportunities for students to develop mathematical representation skills by fulfilling the indicators of the mathematical representation itself. Thus the students' mathematical representation ability is no longer in the low category in solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

This research is to find out the comparism of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the Discovery-Inquiry model on the 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sinjai year 2020/2021. This research used two classes chosen by Purposive Sampling technique. Both classes were given different treatments with the same material, that was One Variable Linear Equations. To obtain the data, the researcher used a test which had been tested through validity test and reliability test. After that, the data were analyzed with normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test (Independent Sample T-Test). The result of this research indicated that there are some differences in the learning result using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the Discovery-Inquiry model on the 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sinjai year 2020/2021The average grades of the class using the Problem Based Learning model was higher than the Discovery-Inquiry model. This result indicates that the Problem Based Learning model is better than the Discovery-Inquiry model.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a flipped classroom device that utilizes google classroom to optimize high-order thinking skills of high-quality students. This type of research is Research and Development. The development model used is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. This research was conducted in Mathematics Education class 1.2 semester 3, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research instrument used expert validation sheets, student and lecturer response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. The results showed that the average score of the validation results of learning tools: Lesson Plans, Learning Videos, Online Assignments and Higher Order Thinking Ability Tests were valid based on the criteria assessment. the practicality of learning tools based on positive student and lecturer responses. The effectiveness of the learning device is seen from the completeness of the higher order thinking ability test results that have been achieved. Through the development phases, quality products are produced that meet the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the very subjects that need to be studied, even mathematics is invited from elementary school to college level. In learning mathematics, we meet many students who have difficulty accepting the material being taught. Understanding mathematical concepts is very important for students, because mathematical concepts are interconnected with each other so they must be studied sequentially and continuously. One of the mathematics materials that students often have difficulty working on is set material. To overcome this, teachers must be able to innovate in providing teaching materials that are acceptable to students. With the existence of interesting teaching materials will make students more interested and able to understand the material .
