Abstract

The aim of research is to find out the effect of styrene butadiene rubber used to the tensile strength, compression set, and the Hardness of the seal. The variation of styrene butadiene rubber are 20, 30 and 40 phr; Statistical analysis Paint out that there is signify difference often tensile strength but unsignify difference at the compression set and hardness.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out the effect of weathering exposure on quality of leather by WeathepOmeter apparatus. During in door test by weather - Ometer, the condition of research is kept constanly i.e black panel at 45oC, dry bulb at 36oC, wet bulb at 26oC and humidity at 45%, specimen exposed taking over from the chamber for testing purpose were caried out every 25 hours and performed up to the limiting time at whice tensile strength and elongation at break properties change.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the effect of weathering exposure on the quality of moulding rubber sole by weather - ometer apparatus (in door weathering test). During indoor test by Weather - Ometer, the condition of research is kept constanly i,e. black panel at 50oC, dry bulb at 36oC, wet bulb at 26oC and humidity at 45 %. Specimen exposed taking over from the chamber for testing purpose were caried out every 25 hours and performed up to the limiting time at which specific physical properties change of the sample come out. The highest change of the speciments physical properties happened at the treatment of 100 hours, 125 hours  and 150 hours.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out process of production and the relation between cost, sell price and percentage of break even point. Production of capacity planned is 43.200 bottles perday, so that in a year with 288 workday, capacity produced is 12.400.000 bottles. The economical calculation are as follows the total capital is fixed capital + working capital - Rp. 1.489.200.308,00 ; the total production cost is variable cost a year + fixed cost a year = Rp.3.532.949.829,00;. The manufacturing cost = Rp. 285,00 / bottle, the profit calculation before taxing is Rp. 466.230.171,00 and after taxing is Rp. 372.984.136, the pay out period calculation consist of the percentage of profit to return the capital (rate of return) before taxing is 31.30%, after taxing is 25.04% and the pay out period before taxing 2 year 11 months, after taxing 3 year 7 months ; the break even calculation consist of break even point is Rp. 1.988.929.421,00; the percentage of break even point is 49,73% and the capacity of break even point is 6.166.25O bottles

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find the type and optimum total of impact modifier of compound PVC for last making. It has three variations, these are total plasticizer DOP, type and total of impact modifier. The optimum PVC compounds is achived by the PVC compound which using DOP 35 phr and 2 phr impact modifier ABS has value of impact resistance 10.2840 kg cm/cm and hardness 60.67 shore D.

Abstract

Determination of curing condition at cemented process for canvas shoes vulcanization system is an important factor for producing optimal cemented strength value. Short curing gives low cemented strength value since latex or rubber compound is imperfect vulcanized. Long curing also gives low cemented strength value since a part of latex or rubber compound has got degradation. The research is carried out to obtain optimal curing time in order to obtain the highest cemented strength value. The glue applied is latex with operation condition steam vulcanization : chamber temperature 90 - 100oC, steam pressure 2,0 – 2,5 kg/cm2 variation time 30,40 and 50 minutes. Vulcanization product is tested for its cemented strength with the higest result 18,224 N/6 mm for 40 minutes curing time. The result fulfills specification SII. 1407 - 85 "Sepatu Kanvas Untuk Umum".

Abstract

The aim of the research was to find out the dock vender compound which have optimum hardness and tearing resistance. The research was done by using standar compound for dock vender in which the carbon black as a filler was varied at 40; 45: 50; 55; 60; 65 and 70 parts for every 100 parts of natural rubber. Testing results show that optimum hardness was found at a compound with 55 parts of carbon black by the value of 60.40 shore A, whereas the tearing resistance show that there are no significant defferences by variation of carbon black. Optimum tearing resistance was given by the compound with 45 parts of carbon black.

Abstract

This research is aimed at compilation of size standard of Indonesian children shoes, for it is abviously that the available size systems currently, such as English system, American system and French system are not suitable with Indonesian foot sizes. Samples of the research were taken from children foot sizes of DIY using area purposive sampling, while data analvsis method used was Statistical of M (Mean) and SD (Standard of Deviation). The foot size data were calculated using comparison parameter of breadth to length size, joint girth, instep girth and short heel. Result of the research showed that the increase of each size number was 6,75 mm; breadth figure and joint, girth size got a raise in, successivelv of 2,75 mm and 6,25 mm in harmonv for each size number, which were classififield into narrow. medium and wide fitting.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to identify and obtain a right formula of adhesive made from nitril rubber as raw material and metil etil keton as the solvent, while the concentration and temperature employed were varied. The reason of using metil etil keton as the solvent was among others it was able to dissolve nitril rubber as the raw material of adhesive compound, non toxic.material. Easy to be available and volatile. Nitril, rubber was used as raw material because of its high resistance to oil, water, certain organic solvents and high temperature.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the quatity of bating agent used in tanning rabbit skins to be glove leather, to make use rabbit skins which can not be tanned to fur rabbit skin leather. The materials used in this research were of 40 pieces of lokal salt preservated rabbit skins originated from Yogyakarta having quality III and IV. They were grouped into four and the groups consisted of ten pieces each were tanned to be fashion glove leather using 4% formaline as pretanning agent and followed by chrome tanning agent as the retanning agent. Before carrying out both tanning processes bating was done on them using Pancreol Bate as bating agent. The quantity of bating agent added was varried as 0,65%, 1,2%, 1,8% and 2,4%. The process used was of usually carried - out by IRDLAI. The leather produced were tested on their sotfness, with sheepskin glove leather was used as the measuring- rod; their tensile strength resistance and flexibility with SII. 0061 – 74 (Quality and test method for goatsheep skin glove and garment leather) as the standard of comparison. The test results were statistically evaluated. A conclusion can be down from this research that by using 0,6% Pancreol Bate on bating process, soft glove leathers having good tensile strength and flexibility which fulfill the requirements of SII. 0061 - 74 can be produced.
