Abstract

This research aims to improve the efficiency of pineapple fiber are not yet widey used, especially in textile and rubber industry and pineapple plant until now regarded as wate and are generally discarded or burned. The extent to which yarn from pineapple  fibers can be used as reinforcement inrubber fine wires V-belt has conducted reaserch by varying the amount of carbon black fillers each 15 Phr,30 Phr, 45 Phr and 60 Phr of the compound process and varying the ratioof the number of fine wires amplifiers pineapple yarn and fine wires of nylon yarn reinforment of their respective 25%, 50%, 75 and 100% n the printing process of the rubber V-belt. Rubber V-belt is obtained from the result of experiments carried out tensile strength test and modulus test. These data indicate that the test result of yarn from pinapple fibers can be used as reinforment in rubber fine wires V-belt and meet the standard SNI 06-1546-1989 with a maximu value of 240 kg/cm² of modulus and a minimum tensile strength of 400kg/cm². the best result obtained in experiments using 50% fine wires of yarn peniappleand carbon black fibers with 45 Phr tensile strength value 421kg/cm².

Abstract

The research aimed to obtained gambir optimal cosentration as natural antioxidant and self life cookind oil production. Gambir latex thich was extracted from gambir leaf (Uncaria gambir Roxb) was used in the experiment . the experiment was designedas factorial compeletely randomized design with two factors as treatments, and each combination of gamir antioxidant (1%,2%and 3%), and the second factor was long of storage (7 days,24days,21,days,28day,35days, dand 42days). The result showed that the addition of antioxidant gambir, long of storage and its interaction had significant effect on the peroxide value fat tree acid level and moisture content. The treatment of A2 (gambir consentration 2%) with long of storage 42 days (treatment B6) effective more that gambir consentrations 1%and 3% (treatment A1 and A3) with cooking oil of quality characterstics of 1,6 meq/kg for peroxide value, 0,32% for fatfree aced level , and 0,28% mosture content. The self life of cooking oil by gambir antioxidant is 42 days.

Abstract

The research aimed to obtain the optimal additional banana fermented flour and wheat flour on sweet bread an d diversification extract of cassiavera as a flavoring agent and anti microbical, then the storage time in the chamber. The experiment was designed as Factorial Completely Randomized Design witth three stages : The 1st. Making sweet bread by substitution flour,the 2nd. Sweet bread with cassiavera flavour and the 3rd. Stage that the storage time. The result of optimal experiment showed that the substitution 10% of banana fermented flour to wheat folur and 1,25% extract of cassiavera produced the good sweet bread and popular flavoured brad by panelists with the value of tasted are 4.04 (like);color 4,15 (like);flavour 3,8 (like);texture 3.8 (like) maen the composition of sweet bread are : water content 30.37%; ash content 1.48%;protein content 1.03% and carbohydrates 59.50% with good condition until 7 days in storage chamber.

Abstract

The research has been conduected dryer of corn with fluidized bed system and stainless stel material of tank. Tank was equipment with a strirer 100 rpm, blowers, and the  thermometer as a temperature controller. The tool is made to be dry material of corn wrhre corn has moisture high initial levels of 40%. Influence the feed of materials and temperature of drying seed corn by the countercurrent flow of heat sources, where the material flows from the top of the tank while the drying air flow from under the tank flows.this drying process varied with a capacity of 15 kg/hr ; 17,5kg/hr and 20kg/hr attemperature of 50oC,60oC and 70oC. the results showed the best conditions in the corn kernels are drying at a temperature of 70oC for all capacity rate of the material on 15 kg/hr corn,17,5kg/hr and 20kg/hr in the water content reaches 14%, as a safe condition in seed and as storage products grains especially maize seeds.

Abstract

Research about treatment of waste water from activity of Exploration and production oil and Gas with comprehensive solution method (bioremediation-biotreatment-biofiltration) has been done. Purpose of this research is to knows the bacterium activity in reducing rate cemaran petroleum liquid waste.. first phase added bioremiaddiasi with addition of biological agent which has been obtained. At this phas added bacterium counted 6% v/v from waste water volume and growth of bacterium is optimal. Second phase is biotreament that is by giving opportunity of bacterium which has been added so that initiation of floc formation. At this phase liquid waste is flown showly and is not aerated so that s formed flok initiation by bacterium, and than phase three is biofiltration by flowing waste to bioreactorending containing active carnonl. The active carbon has contained bacterium at part of the surface so that liquid waste passingit will experience biofiltration. The three steps can process waste soThat so parameter qualified that is H²S,Fenol,COD,Oil fatty, and ammonia declines so is under theasthold with quicker time.To know method effectiveness of comprehensive solution is done waste treatment of microcosm scale to apply biological agent obtained.. This thing was showed result of examination of control microcosm from sampling T0 until T8 is H2S:0.144-0,015 mg/l,phenol 1,6537-0,405 mg/l,hydrogen ion exponent 9,07-9,13,COD g372-1132 mg/l, oil lemak52-471 mg/l and ammonia 3,713-0,1373 mg/l of chemical test result at microcosm with method coprehensive solution is H2S: 0,160-0,014 mg/l,phenol 0,0529-0,0105mg/l,hydrogent ion exponent 9,07-9,13,COD 9372-1132 mg/l, oil lemak 52 -471 mg/l and ammonia 3,713-0,1373 mg/l.Based on calculaton of linear regresision to degradation of parameter tasted waste at microcosm with method comprehensive solution is estimated to requires processing time around 41 days, almost thrice more effectively if using ordinary IPAL method

Abstract

The objective of this research ae making dodol from admixture of fruits and knowng about formula of the dodol so can product the foods fulfill requiments. This research varies five (5) treatment and three(3) repetitions. First treatment is proportion between peneaple and papaya are treatment A4500g,750 g, treatment A3=700g,550g treatment A4=800g,450g and treatment A5=1000g, 250g. paramenter tested are water content ,protein content, ash content, couarse fiber and sugar content. The best treatment was gotton from treatment A4(additional of 800 g pinapple pure. Product characteristic produced are water content : 5,34%,ash content : 0,50%, couarse fiber : 0,33% and sugar content : 40,03%.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to obtain the rubber compound formulation with nano sulfur application in vulcanization process to produce vechicle rubber compound that will fulfill the standard specification. The experiment held by crushing the sulphr to covert intonano size through mechanical milling. Nano Sulphur were characterized with XRD method (X-RAY Difraction) and SEM method (Scanning Eletronical magnetic). The steps for making the rubber compound are mastication/milling the rubber and mixing with other supporting chemicals (activator, filler, softener, antioxidant, resin, accelerator) using the open mill, continued with vulcanization processwhich using nano sulphur as the vulcanization agent untilthe rubber compound ready to be molded.the experimental research used factorial completely  randomized design with two factor as treatments, and each combination was replicated for three time. The first factor is the variation of vulcanization temperature (140 ˚C and 170˚C) and the second factor is the variation of suphur size (40nm,60nm,80nm, and 400nm). Tested parameters are modulus,elongation at break ,tear strength and density of rubber compound from the vehicle. The result showed that the variation of vulcanization elongation at break ,tear strength ,and density of rubber compound of the vehicle. The best treatment is obtained in temperature variation 140˚C and sulfur size 60nm (T1S2),with compound rubber characteristic of vehicle for modulus 108N/cm2,elongation at break 565% tear strength 90 kg/cm2, and density 1,220g/cm2.

Abstract

The research aims to study the chracteristics of physical and chemical properties of membrane for pressing seeds to product palm kernel oil. The main material used for this study was natural rbber , synthetic rubber ,nitrile butandiene rubber( NBR),chloroprene rubber(CR),vucaniztion materials ,materials activist , abrasion rest and filler materials. The membrane consist of five vulcanization dormula through a process using an open mill.Membrane was tested in the laboratory by ASTM test method that includes: mooney visvometer ,hardness,tensile strength ,moludus of 200%,elongation at break,tear strength density and abrasion.Results of laboratory tests showed the treatment of compound D to get the best value , namely: hardness with the value 79 shore A; tensile strength 152kg/cm2;modulus 200% with the value of 40 kg/cm2, elongation at break with a 610%,tear streangth with value of 96kg/cm2;density with value of 1451 g/cm3 and abrasion rest itha value of 270,9mm3.

Abstract

This research aims to study effect of adding sodium metabisulfite ( natrium metabisulfit ) in improving whiteness degree of tapoca as required by SNI 01-3452-1993. Tapioca starch in this research is produced without treatment (treatment ) and some additional treatment of deifferent concentrations of natrium metabisulfit.result show s whiteness degree determination obtained without the addition of natrium metabisulfit was 90,30% whereas with natrium metabislulfit  0,1%;0,2%;0,5%; and 1,0% respectively are 91,8%;94,9%;95,7%; and 96,2%. Form perception of amylograph indicate that additional 0,2% natrium metabisulfit didn’t significantly influence to the funsional properties compared to treathment sample without treatment. Physicochemical proretis obtained of addition of 0,2% natrium metabisulfit can deciline stratch content 2 until 4%. It conclouded that 0,2% netrium metabisulfit are inhibitor to prevent brownig reaction on tapioca.the adding of natrium metabisulfit until 0,2% didn’t give effect for functional properties as native starch.
