Ijtimaiyya journal is a journal which is managed by the Programme Pascasarajana (PPs) Universitas Islam negeri Raden Intan Lampung. First published in 2008 and regularly published two (2) times a year, in May and in November. Since 2014 this journal began in the online. The script that is loaded is the original manuscript, not yet published in any publication. Scripts can be articles, research results, scientific ideas as well as book reviews. Editors receive from the author of the Madrasah, universities, research institutions and other agencies concerned with the Islamic Community Development.

Abstract

One of the important teachings in Islam is themarriage. Marriage is a Sunnah of the Prophet andrecommended in Islam when someone has meetvarious requirements. The importance of the doctrineof marriage is that in the Quran there many verses,either directly or indirectly, addressed the issue ofmarriage. Marriage or paired an ordinance of Allah tohis creatures. It is repeatedly emphasized by Allah inthe Quran. Marriage in the Quran is a suggestion thata full requirements so that the goals of marriage ismentioned explicitly in the Quran, despite its generalnature. In the Quran there are two key words thatindicate the meaning of marriage, namely zawwaja andnakaha, which is in use, can be defined by marriage.The Quran uses these two words because it makes amarriage partner, conjugal relations lawfullyaccompanied by ijāb and qabūl.

Abstract

The question of insurance is a major concern ofcontemporary Islamic jurisprudence. Insurance is animportant part of the modern business environment.Many scholars criticize the system of conventionalinsurance as exploitative and unjust. They point out thatpaying money for something, with no guarantee ofbenefit, involves high ambiguity and risk. One pays intothe program, but may or may not need to receivecompensation from the program, which could beconsidered a form of gambling. The insured always seemsto lose while the insurance companies get richer andcharge higher premiums. On the other hand, there arescholars who argue that the insurance contract contains agreat deal of gharar that makes the contract invalid. Theseargue that this gharar shall be forsaken if we change thestructure of the insurance contract in question, making ita cooperative that receives premiums as donations. Basedon this argument, Islamic insurance companies arefounded. The purpose of this article is to discuss furtherabout this issue.

Abstract

Islamic theology is a branch of Islamicstudies describing the beliefs of the Islamic faith. Anyreligious belief system, or creed, can be considered anexample of „aqīdah. This article presents a descriptionof the uses of analysis and rational argument inorder to understand the relationships between Islamiceducation institutions and theological guidance. Thisarticle conducting a study to better understand thevarious traditions of religious traditions;which preserve, renew and spread the traditions.Descriptive research method uses to review theliterature of Islamic educational institutions. The resultshows that the Islamic educational institutionsdevelope along with its theological guidance. Islamiceducational institutions have symbols of religiousbeliefs, and spread all over the country. So by studyingtheological institutions in the past, would be useful todevelope Islamic institutions in the future

Abstract

Ijtihad is a technical term of Islamic law that describesthe process of making a legal decision by independentinterpretation of the legal sources, the Qur’an and theSunnah. Ijtihad waqii in the Islamic dakwah is veryimportant for the challenges facing the Muslim world.Ijtihad is also important to find arguments for thedakwah, and responding to the dynamic developmentof Muslim civilization, as well as provide solutions totheir problems. In addition, ijtihad also brings benefitsin developing ukhuwah based on local wisdom inLampung. In its dakwah, da’i of the Nahdlatul Ulamaorganization in Lampung, support the success ofijtihad waqii, such as the empowering of theintellectual preachers, their awareness andcompetencies to synergize the textual messages withcontextual one, based on local wisdom. This articlewill further elaborate on these topics.

Abstract

Maqâshid Syari‟ah refers to an act of achieving andprotecting the benefits and good (masalih) for the sake ofhuman beings. In fulfilling the maqâshid al Syari‟ah, maninadvertently fulfills not only his social and ethical needsbut also his commercial needs as well. There lies thewisdom of Muslims having to “fulfill all obligations” as indoing so mankind is fulfilling one another‟s needs andobligations, hence a win-win for all. The current practiceof Islamic banks needs to incorporate maqâshid al-Syari‟ahinto their management strategy to ensure its sustainabilityto serve mankind in the future, in confirmation to therequirement of Syari‟ah. Though profitability is essentialand must be achieved, but it is not the main objective. InIslam, the ultimate objectives of any activities includingbusiness activities are ultimately with the aim of achievingobjectives of Syari‟ah or maqâshid al-Syari‟ah.

Abstract

Islam is undeniably an universal religion. This isdue to the important task of man as a vicegerent onearth who served for its prosperity. The purpose ofIslam is to develop exceptional human beings basedon aqidah. AnyIslamic educational activity is an attempt to synthesizeand systematize the truths of God‟s revelation. Abstract

One of learning model which need to beconsidered by educators is a model learningcommunity method, namely talking and sharingexperiences each others, cooperating each otherand creating enhanced learning than by self wherestudents were placed as a subject of study. Inaddition, students also make the processmeaningful activity, where students discuss withtheir friends or sharing information among themand asking the teacher to guide on a subject wherethe teaching materials are considered difficulty, sothe process of learning more effective andmotivate, This research is the development ofcommunity learning models in learning English toincrease student achievement at SMP Banda Acehand Aceh Besar. Abstract

Failure of a development model in the past, makes us awareof the need for reorientation in new construction, iedevelopment approach that pay attention to environmentaland humanis development. That approach puts a human as akey factor that plays an important role in every aspect. Thedevelopment process should be as a populist process, theconcentration is more on populist economic development,with emphasis on the facilities to the common people or theduafa. Economic development of the people in order toempower the people, should be balanced withtransformation in economic, social, cultural and political.Empowerment includes encouraging, and developing theskills for, self-sufficiency, with a focus on eliminating thefuture demand for charity or welfare in the individuals of thegroup. This process can be difficult to start and toimplement effectively. With the empowerment, communitydevelopment can run, and they were given the right tomanage the available resources. The duafa are given theopportunity to plan and implement developmentprogrammes which they specify. The success or failure ofthe empowerment of duafa is determined by the seriousnessof the implements in carrying designed concept of socialchange in the community.

Abstract

Washiyah (will, testament) is the message deliveredby someone before his death with a wealth legacyor other messages outside wealth legacy. Washiyahis one of the ways used by the Muslims to getcloser to Allah at the end of his life, so thatgoodness increases. Washiyah can be done withoutthe presence of the recipient, and even carried outin writing, hence washiyah is part of the contractunilaterally. In the construction law, a washiyah canbe revoked or canceled. Revocation andcancellation, in construction law, are two differentthings. Revocation will typically be done beforethe intestate dies because there are certain reasonsthat urge washiyah revocation. While thecancellation will usually occur when nonfulfillmentof the terms that are subjective orobjective related to the washiyah. On the otherhand, the cancellation will be done with theprocedure that conform with the law. This articlewill further explore this focus.

Abstract

A legal act that is causing the joint property is marriage,whether marriage is governed by article 26 KUHPdt andso on, as well as marriage as stipulated in UU No. 1/1974about marriage. Breakup of marriage either through deathor divorce (divorce to sue or divorce divorce), oftencause a secondary effect that is often not resolved well,aside from the determination of the status of childcustody, subsistence, also on the division of jointproperty, which is also often a trigger the new conflictbetween husband and wife after the divorce. How the lawof community property in a marriage based approachIslamic law and positive law of Indonesia became a staplein the study of this article.
