Abstract

ABSTRACT Fluor albus is a genital disorder symptoms by women because of infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. Red ginger (Zingiber officinale var Rubrum) is one of the natural ingredients has been used the potential as antifungal because of the content the active compound for example flavonoids, alkaloids, tannin, saponin and terpenoid. In this research, examines the effects of antifungal C. albicans ethanol extract red ginger after formulated vaginal douche with varying concentrations of 10%, 15% and 20%. vaginal douche is made using by soap base sodium lauryl sulfate, citric acid, sodium chloride, propilenglikol and water. Red ginger extraction methods remaserasi for 5 days using ethanol 96% by the turn of the solvent every 24 hours. Test power using the antifungal C. albicans on PDA medium. Evaluation of vaginal douche red ginger extract consist of organoleptic, homogenity, specific of gravity, pH, and antifungal effect. The results showed that the concentration of ethanol extract red ginger 10%, 15% and 20% have antifungal activity against C. albicans. Power test vaginal douche red ginger activity lower than vaginal douche containing povidone iodine as an active ingredient with the analysis results were significantly different (p <0.05). Abstract

ABSTRACTAlong with the rapid flow of information and globalization, led to the lifestyle of modern society is also becoming more and more advanced. But this was not accompanied by increased quality of public health. Lifestyle such as this may result in exposure to free radicals degna. Antioxidants are compounds that can inhibit the oxidation of free radicals, so it will form a more stable compound. Oil Patchouli (Patchouli oil) contains patchouli alcohol which have antioxidant activity. The rate is determined by the quality of patchouli oil patchouli alcohol content therein. The purpose of this research is to show the antioxidant activity of patchouli oil and standard determine differences in activity with BHT, as well as to determine the effective concentration expressed in EC50 values by using DPPH method. The examination was conducted by using the test solution at a concentration of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. The process to obtain the patchouli oil is done by means of steam distillation of the dried herb patchouli. Identification test to determine the quality of the oil produced by TLC test and also qualitative test to determine the antioxidant activity. From the research it can be seen that the average value of EC50 for patchouli oil sample is equal to 19.95%, while 11.93% of standard BHT. Based on these results, concluded that the antioxidant activity in patchouli oil, and there are significant differences in antioxidant activity between standard patchouli oil with BHT.Keywords: patchouli oil, patchouli alcohol, anti-oxidant, DPPH.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBacterial resistance to antibiotics is a problem that is being faced in both the developing and developed countries. Therefore it takes an effort to diminish these problems by the discovery of new drugs derived from natural ingredients, the banana plant (Musa paradisiaca).The purpose of this study to determine the bactericidal effect of the banana plant stem in antiacne gel dosage forms. The benefity of this study is providing basic information about the benefits of stem extract of banana plants, especially in the health field that is as antiacne.This study found the class of compounds contained in extracts of banana plants include steroids, triterpenoids, alkaloids, plavonoid, tannins and saponins. Results of this study, the pH 4 FI, FII 4, FIII4; Fi viscosity of 204 cps, 216 cps FII, FIII 239 cps; lekatFI power, FII, FIII less than a minute; dispersive power FI> 7cm / 100 grams, FII and FIII> 7cm / 150 grams. Abstract

ABSTRACT Bulbs of garlic has been used as a traditional medicine. The use of garlic bulbs waste leaves tuber skin that has not been used optimally. This study aims to determine the content of the active compound and the effects of skin garlic bulbs extract (Allium sativum L) on blood glucose levels in male rats wistar strain induced alloxan. The subject of research in the form of 25 white male rats who were divided into 5 groups, group I are group fed a standard baseline; group II, III, IV and V Alloxan induced a dose of 160 mg/kgBW by intraperitoneal; group III, IV, and V are given skin garlic bulbs extract each with a dose of 200 mg/200gBW, 400 mg/200gBW, and 800 mg/200gBW orally for 14 days. Data obtained from the examination of blood glucose levels and analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney. The results showed that skin garlic bulbs extract contains the active compounds alkaloid, quinones, flavonoids, saponins and polyphenols. Analysis of the data showed that there were significant differences in blood glucose levels between groups I with II, and group II with V. Conclusion, skin garlic bulbs extract (Allium sativum L) has the ability to lower blood glucose levels in mice induced by a decrease alloxan means the dose of 800 mg / 200gBW. Abstract

ABSTRACT  Sago resin is the exudat from the plant sago (Metroxylon sagus   Rottb.) from of gels and substances classified as anionic polysaccharides, colloidal nature with consistency and power of adhesive material resembling, it can be used as a binder tablets. This study aims to determine the effect of differences levels of sago resin variation as the ingredient binder dexamethason tablet the physical properties and release. Sago resin comes from the plant of sago then filtered (cleaned of impurities), blended into a fine powder to the next level with mucilago made FI (1%); FII (3%); FIII (5%); FIV (7%) and FV (10%). The sago resin mucilago is used a binder in the manufacture of granule with wet granulation method. The physical properties tested of the granule include flow time, repose of angle and compresibility. Tablets obtained its physical an chemical properties of the tested include uniformity of weight, hardness, friability, disintegration time, disolution and determination of concentration the active substances. The data obtained analyzed by comparing the theoretical approach with the relevant literature and statistically analyzed using corellation regretion alalyzed with a level of  95%  The results obtained showed that the granules and tablets of all formulas meet the requirements of physical and chemical properties of a good tablet. The addition concentration of the sago resin as a binder causes the tablet hardness and disintegration time there is a significant difference between the formulas, while the release of the active substance and content uniformity tablets is not influenced by the increase in the concentration of sago resin. Abstract

7 ABSTRACT Currently there are many complaints against service quality of BPJS patients in pharmacy some hospitals. This study aimed to compare the service quality of BPJS outpatient pharmacy installation at government and and public private hospital Semarang in terms of five dimensions of SERVQUAL. This study was an analytic survey research with cross sectional study design. Sample was BPJS outpatient or patient's family who took the drug in one of the government hospital Semarang  (Tugurejo Hospital’s pharmacy) and one of the public private hospital Semarang (Sultan Agung Hospital’s pharmacy). The sampling technique used purposive sampling method, and used questionnaires to collect data. Expectations and performance scores had been analized used gap analysis and  Mann-Whitney test to compare the service quality of BPJS outpatient pharmacy installation at government and and public private hospital Semarang in terms of five dimensions of SERVQUAL The service quality that terms of five dimensions of SERVQUAL in both of two hospital’s pharmacy installation Semarang could not meet the expectations of BPJS outpatient yet. The biggest gap according to BPJS outpatient in Sultan Agung Hospital’s pharmacy and Tugurejo Hospital’s pharmacy Semarang was the dimension of responsiveness with value respectively -0.73 and -0.63. Dimension that has met the expectations of BPJS  outpatients Sultan Agung Hospital’s pharmacy was tangible dimension with value 0.03. There were significant differences between service quality of  BPJS outpatient pharmacy installation at government  and and public private hospital Semarang above tangible (p. 0,000), and reliability dimension (p. 0,000). Abstract

ABSTRACT Hyperinsulinemia may precede insulin resistance in patients with Type 2 diabetes.  In this study, we tried to reveal an influence of long-term treatment of human  insulin to hyperglycemic and insulin resistance in male Wistar rats.  Before the experiment, blood-glucose  levels measured two hours after 2 g/Kg glucose imposition.  Rats receive human insulin (0.45-1.80) IU/KgBW/day subcutaneously every day for 14 days.   Furthermore, human insulin 1.8 IU/KgBW/day also provide a period of7,14and 21days. At theend of the experiment,we mademeasurements ofblood-glucoselevelstwo hoursafterthe imposition  glucose.There are, the influence oflong-termtreatment of human insulin determined bycomparing the blood-glucoselevelsbeforeandafter  insulin treatment.  Insulin resistance isdeterminedby comparing thehypoglycemiceffect of glibenclamide 10 mg/Kg  BW  to the control group.  The results concluded that the  humaninsulin1.80 IU/KgBW/day  treatment  for 14dayscan improveblood-glucoselevel'sWistarmale ratsup to126.369mg/dL(p<0.05)withpatternsdoes notdepend onthe length of timeof administration.The averageof % hypoglycemiceffect of glibenclamide10mg/kgBW  in ratswhoreceived treatment with human  insulin 1.80IU/kg BW/dayswereat 18,31%,smaller thancontrols (62.20%) (p<0.05). Decrease in hypoglycemic effects of glibenclamide 10 mg/kg BW caused by mice has insulin resistance might be due to a result of long-term insulin administration. Abstract

ABSTRACT Soursop leaves can be used as a drug hypercholesterolemia. Simvastatin is one of the drugs that can be used to lower total cholesterol and LDL. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of combination therapy EEDS and simvastatin in inhibiting elevated levels of total cholesterol and LDL induced rats a high-fat feed when compared with simvastatin alone or single EEDS. This study is experimental with post-test only control group design. Using the test animals were 30 male rats Wistar strain were divided into 6 groups. Test animals fed a high-fat twice daily for 14 days except for the normal control group, the test preparation administration once a day for 5 days. Measurement of total cholesterol using  the reagent kit CHOD-PAP and LDL measurement method  Direct Enzymatic Colorimetric Test with a spectrophotometer UV-Visibel. Data were statistically analyzed by One Way Anova followed by Tukey test. The results showed that administration of EEDS can inhibit LDL levels induced rats a high-fat feed. eeds combination and simvastatin can inhibit the increase in total and LDL cholesterol levels did not differ significan (p> 0.05), which means it has the same ability in lowering total cholesterol and LDL induced rats a high-fat feed simvastatin compared with administration of single and single EEDS.
