Abstract

This study aims to determine character independence building of senior high school students through the activities of OSIS in SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta. SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta is one of the schools that implements character education, especially the character of independence. The research method used is qualitative. The data was conducted by observation, documentation, and interviews to informants and key informant in SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta. The Interview conducted to the board of OSIS by using purposive sampling method. And by adding two key informant that is coach and student council Vice Head of Student Affairs. After that it is equipped by expert opinion. The results showed that the activities performed by OSIS SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta in shaping the character of OSIS management included viewing, speaking and listening activities, writing activities, moving activities, mental activities, and soul movement activities. Implementation of character-based self-reliant education conducted on board of OSIS includes the guidance of independence from the aspect of emotional independence, independence, economy, intellectual independence, and social independence. These activities are reflected by planning, implementing and evaluating each activity fairly well and upholding the spirit of mutual cooperation

Abstract

The aims of the research are to show that: 1. Training program is effective to prepare kindigarten teachers professionally mastering method, material, making preparation, conducting and evaluating teaching learning process especially to develop creative drawing potential for golden age students optimally. 2. By using free expression method will very support condusive situation for drawing activity the golden age students to develop optimally. 3. By preparing a training model of free expression method that is based on children for kindigarten teachers that is conducted professionally with closed attention to training management principals accurately and measurable, so that it will guarantee the formed of kindigarten teachers professionally. Therefore, the development of it needs more ideas and opinion from kindigarten teachers/members of training for material and everything that are needed for training. The existing training model to be based for development as in line with field needed. For innovation of training management model we need Research and Development (R D). This research is for developing, resulting product and examining the qualified product. Longitudinally, stages multi years, to applicate descriptive method. a. Need analysis, b. Evaluative, c. Experiment. Study result showed that the existing drawing training model has not handled professionally, it did not applicate management principal correctly, such as: planning, organizing, conducting, evaluating and follow up. It conducted insidentally, top down, no inisiative from training participants, no pretest and pos test and no monitoring/follow up. The research result showed that kindigarten teachers are badly needed the existing of training model of free expression method based on children that is managed professionally. It needed quality process and training result, mainly its procedure and conducting. Training media should be practical and can be used easily. Training target should be clear for creative drawing with conservation topic that is supported by qualified literatures for traning and teachers.

Abstract

The presence of technology is changing the way people to get information and communication. In the field of counseling, information technology offers some of the latest innovations to reach out, facilitate and communicate with individuals who need help from all over the world. This qualitative research collected data through literature study by analyzing 5 research results from various academics in various countries and conducting interviews with 10 youth aged 19-23 years, and 3 counselors. The results of this qualitative study indicate that online counseling makes it easy for youth in expressing the problem in their life. In addition, online counseling has great potential in offering therapy and can be done anywhere. Therefore, clients can minimize transportation costs for face-to-face counseling. Although the results of the analysis of previous studies indicate that online counseling has a weakness that is lack of knowledge and special abilities possessed by counselors in communicating through chat and lack of skills in writing texts to avoid misunderstandings with online counseling users. In the other side, previous research shows solutions related to the use of online counseling. The counselor must face the development of technology and use it as a facility to communicate with young people.

Abstract

The particular objective of this research is to describe the orientation shift trend of vendor sellers business in Surakarta city prior, during and post the monetary crisis in order to obtain rectification of Bazaar Economy of Clifford Geertz, and Order Theory and Regulation Theory of Evers. H.D. This qualitative research of case study tried to describe the condition, activity and the development of vendor sellers’ orientation in Surakarta before ( 1997), during (1997 to 2004) and after monetary crisis (2004-recently) occurred in Indonesia, particularly in Surakarta city. The place of the research is in Surakarta city with the following data source; vendor sellers with all their activities, all the former public officials and officials associated to vendor sellers during and after the monetary crisis. The participants are selected through purposive sampling integrated with snowball sampling using key informant. The data are analyzed using interactive analysis from Miles and Huberman, through three stages activity namely, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The conclusions of this research are as follows; 1) the vendor sellers’ orientation prior and during the monetary crisis comply to the informal sectors characteristics according to Clifford Geertz’s Bazaar Economy and Order Theory and Regulation Theory of Hans-Dieter Evers but the characteristics on post-monetary crisis have altered; 2) The vendor sellers’ characteristics after the monetary crisis can be classified into two namely the static group and dynamic group. The first group is dominated by vendor sellers, who have capital, management limitation and their business as subsistence. The later group is dominated by vendor sellers who have big capital, administered using modern management and have become the business to increase welfare. The inclination of orientation shift of vendor sellers in Surakarta city is developing slowly and developmental.

Abstract

Has conducted research on the development of scientific learning-based module to increase the ability to create students in the learning process accounting. Target of trial module is student from XII IPS 1 SMA N 1 Slogohimo in 2014/2015 academic year, while target of modules development is XII IPS 2 (treatment class) and XII IPS Bio (control class) at SMA N 1 Slogohimo in 2014 / 2015 academic year.The test result shows that the instrument is valid to be used for research with excellent value: materials expert 83, 16%, media specialists 84,17% and practitioners 88%. The test results obtained excellent achievement percentage of 85.7%. The results showed that the Economics module in accounting section based on scientific learning approach is effective to improve the ability of creative learners to obtain significant value = 0.007 ≤ 0.05 at effectiveness test of the control class and treatment class. Further, the average value of the creating ability in treatment class is 80.45 and control class is 69.17. This value indicates that achievement of the treatment class is higher than the control class

Abstract

The research aimed to describe the model of PKL coaching held by Surakarta City Government in the shape of arranging coaching (empowerment) model with several programmed and sustainable approaches, so that it could assure people economic activity settlement and support city development program, including Creative City Action Program. This study explored and described PKL coaching clinic held by Surakarta City Government, and the result would be a material for appropriate coaching model development. The data collection methods were documentation and in-depth interview with key source person, after that the data to be analyzed with SWOT and critical analysis.  The results revealed: 1) coaching and counseling in the shape of PKL is currently not effective; 2) the program cannot fully assist to get capital loan. 3) The City Government provides shelter, chart, tent, and umbrella as free facilities; 4) The SIP will be issued soon; 5) administer events that involving PKL such as night selling centre GALABO, Night market in Ngarsopuro, Car Free Day in Slamet Riyadi and Pucangsawit street, Sunday Market in Manahan Stadium.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a high level of vulnerability to natural disasters. Based on the disaster index of risk, Central Java Province is one of the provinces that experienced the most disasters in Indonesia. Community preparedness efforts towards disasters are still considered weak, as evidenced by a large number of fatalities, property losses, and deaths. Children are classified as vulnerable to disaster management efforts and therefore require special efforts to increase knowledge about disaster mitigation. This study aims to increase students knowledge of disaster mitigation through disaster preparedness socialization activities to realize disaster resilient schools. This research is one form of community service through socialization activities with a qualitative approach. The result of the study shows that the level of students knowledge of disaster mitigation still needs for improving more. Low knowledge can increase the number of casualties resulting from disasters. The solution offered by researchers is conducting disaster awareness education activities through disaster socialization. It is expected that follow up actions such as maintenance and supervision as controls with the aim of such activities have the optimal result to increase students knowledge of disaster mitigation and the realization of disaster resilient schools.

Abstract

The aim and main target of the study is to know the advantages of IFRS convergencein Indonesia, the impact that is appeared, barrier that is faced, and the way toovercome. The approach that is used qualitative descriptive. Data that is usedqualitative. While data sources that is used library literatures that is closed relation with thetopic and relevant written document. The research result show that the benefits of IFRSconvergence are: 1. to ease the understanding of financial reporting by using standardfinancial accounting that is known internationally (enhance comparability), 2. to increaseglobal investment stream through transparancy, 3. to decrease capital budget by openingfund raising through capital market globally, 4. to create eficient financial reportingarrangement, and 5. to increase financial reporting quality. The appeared impact that iscaused by IFRS convergence are; 1. mind stream changing from rule-based to principlebased,2. international butgetting accses will be opened because financial reporting will beeasier to communicate to global investors, 3. The relevance of financial reporting willincrease because using more logical value, etc. The barrier that is faced during IFRSconvergence are: 1. Accounting standard board that is lacked of human resource, 2. highbudgetting to adopt IFRS. That impact can be overcome by preparing qualified humanresources that have IFRS capability and developing a good integration system

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to know and analyze the effect of instructional leadership, motivation, and school facilities on teachers’ discipline and their following effects on teachers’ performance both directly and indirectly of Elementary School Teachers of Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta. The type of the research is a survay research with correlational design. The population of the research were Elementary School teachers of Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta consist of 384 teachers. The sample of the research were 192 teachers selected using proportional random sampling. The data collection method was done using questionnaire. The technique of data analysis was done using path analysis of two paths.Based on the analysis, the research concludes that: 1) instructional leadership, motivation, and school’s facilities dicipline have a significant contribution on teachers’ performance indirectly through teachers’ dicipline both simultaneously and partially. It is indicated by the F statistic and t statistic results yielded; 2) instructional leadership, motivation, and school’s facilities have a significant contribution on teachers’ dicipline both simultaneously and partially. It is indicated by the F statistic and t statistic results yielded; and 3) teachers’ dicipline has significant contribution on teachers’ performance of elementary school teachers at Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta. It is demonstrated with the correlation coefficient yielded of 0.802 that significant at 0.000.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of employability skills and level of achievement on SMK Accounting Expertise Program of Business Management Expertise. This research uses quantitative and qualitative methods.Collection data by observation, interview, and documentation. Place of research in SMK N 6 Surakarta and SMK N 1 Sukoharjo. Analysis data with descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study show that the implementation of employability skills in SMK Accounting Expertise Program of Business Management Expertise at SMK N 6 Surakarta is very good because of the seven core competency competencies have been largely held at the highest level, while in SMK N 1 Sukoharjo into the good category, Because most controlled at the middle level. While the achievement level of employability skills at SMK Accounting Expertise Program of Management Business Expertise at SMK N 6 Surakarta level one 0%, level two equal to 34,30%, and level three equal to 65,70%. While in SMK N 1 Sukoharjo which controls one level of 17,10%, level two equal to 54,30%, and level three equal to 28,60%.
