Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between website exposure variables and community participation variables in village development through the use of village information system communication technology (SIDA) through the provision of village websites so that various data and information related to village policies are quickly and routinely disseminated and easily accessible to residents. Through village websites in Nglanggeran and Girijati Village, Gunungkidul Regency. The research method used is the mix method sequential explanatory design with the method of distributing questionnaires, followed by in-depth interviews and observations. The data obtained were analyzed by non-parametric statistical quantitative analysis. The results of the statistical analysis are then taken to the field to be used as a basis for interviews and qualitative analysis to build theories or patterns of certain knowledge based on participatory perspectives. The findings are in the form of a description of the case and the alleged factors stated in the summary of findings and research on knowledge. The results showed that the existence of the website at the level of government administration was quite effective. However, in increasing community participation, the village website has not been able to create a cognitive, affective and conative impression on increasing awareness in development and community participation. This is due to several factors such as news of the value, consistency and variety of the SIDA program, internet connectivity and ownership of access devices, social capital, oral culture, and policies that are misleading to local governments. To maximize the existence of the website, the community needs to be given strengthening citizen journalism so that the community's active role is in the process of reporting, reporting, analyzing, and presenting better news and promoting communication between citizens and the village government.

Abstract

The movement of commuter workers in Surabaya Metropolitan Area is dominated by private transportation modes users. Most commuter workers do not use public transportation for several accessibility reasons, such as long travel time (33.9%) and less practicality (32.7%). Previous research has been undertaken to encourage modal shifting from the perspective of workers as travelers. This type of researches emphasis more on exploring what factors can be intervened in order to make a modal shift from private vehicles to public transportation. What is not yet known is what causes the lack of competitiveness of public transportation. Namely, there are no studies that measure the level of accessibility of the public transportation network and the factors that influence it. This study aims to determine the factors that affect accessibility of public transportation networks for commuter workers in Surabaya Metropolitan Area based on a comparison of the level of accessibility in Sidoarjo-Surabaya and Gresik-Surabaya areas. The results of the study show that the level of accessibility in Surabaya Metropolitan Area is influenced by travel impedances, public transport routes, travel times, and the frequency of public transportation. Accessibility in Sidoarjo-Surabaya area can be improved by adding 1 public transport route in Gedangan District and increasing the frequency of public transportation to 4 units per hour in Waru and Sedati Districts. Whereas in Gresik-Surabaya area, accessibility can be improved through the addition of 1 public transport route in Menganti District and increasing the frequency of public transportation to 4 units per hour in Cerme District.

Abstract

The state forest existence is expected to provide maximum benefits for the people's prosperity. This study identified the forest state existence through a land tenure structure in Segah District Berau Regency East Kalimantan Province. It also described a portrait of rural development including the condition of infrastructure and community income/expenditure, and identified the influence of state forest existence on rural development. The methods used to analyze the structure of land tenure by overlaying land cover maps and boundaries of area functions in each village, then classifying villages using a matrix of plots based on the percentage of forest and forest area. Analysis of rural development was carried out using scalogram analysis and oneway ANOVA. Meanwhile, the analysis of the influence of state forest existence on rural development was carried out using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of this study showed that the land cover of the forest and land tenure of forest area were dominant. This means that the land tenure structure in the administrative area of Segah District was dominated by state forest. Rural development in terms of infrastructure was found in a condition that was quite even lacking of the needs of the rural population, while average household expenditure is above the national average minimum expenditure limit. The state forest existence was indicated to have a role in influencing the development of rural infrastructure and household expenditure, especially in the activity of entering the forest which can reduce the expenditure of primary household needs.

Abstract

Abstract

Walkability is a condition in an area that is friendly to pedestrians. To find out the comparison of the conditions of the pedestrian path, 2 (two) areas with different land uses but having the same characteristics are high pedestrians and problems related to walkability that have not been resolved. This study aims to identify the differences between the two research areas and the level of satisfaction of pedestrian users using the Global Walkability Index. The Jatinangor Education Area has a value of 45.5 which means not walkable, while the Sudirman Commercial Area has a value of 60.0 which means waiting to walk. Pedestrians show their dissatisfaction walking in the Jatinangor Education Area and pedestrians show their satisfaction in the Sudirman Commercial Area. This indicates that the Sudirman Commercial Area is more walkable than the Jatinangor Education Area. The results of the research are expected to serve as a direction for the development of the built environment's capacity to achieve a walkable area

Abstract

The policy for commodity development in Polongbakeng Utara District has not been able to optimize its natural resource potential. One of the efforts to optimize this potential is the identification of food crops basis commodities by potential mapping in each village in Polongbangkeng Utara District. This study aims to identify the food crops commodity which is a basis commodity and to make the basis commodities mapping in Polongbangkeng Utara District. The analytical method used is LQ analysis and Ar-GIS mapping. The results showed that the food crops commodities which were the basis commodities in Polongbangkeng Utara District were rice, corn, green beans, cassava and sweet potatoes. Palleko is a village that has the most basis commodities with 4 basis commodities, namely rice, green beans, cassava and sweet potato. Rice and sweet potato commodities are the most basis commodities because they are the basis for 12 villages out of 18 villages in Polongbangkeng Utara district. Base commodity mapping was carried out on 5 food crop commodities. Mapping results show that there are more non-basis commodity polygons (50 polygons) than basis commodity polygons (40 polygons).

Abstract

Peri Urban Area is a unique region with spatial dynamics that continues to experience changes that have an important role to play in the urban life in the future. There are 8 sub-districts in Malang Regency which are directly adjacent to Malang City and have a significant influence on the development of the city. Objectives of this research are to determine the dynamics of land use change from 2008 - 2018 and to predict land use in 2030. The method used is the analysis of land use changes from landsat TM 8 images in 2008 and 2013 to predict land use in 2018 which then tested the validity to get a level of accuracy. The results showed the development of built-up area has increased by 12% while agricultural land has experienced a declining trend. Significant changes occurred in Singosari, Pakisaji and Karangploso sub-district. Validation of land use between the predictions of 2018 and actual land use in 2018 showed that the value of kappa was quite high, at 87%. The trend of land use in peri-urban areas until the year 2030 is predicted to have built up area of 26,456 ha, which means an increase 17,686 ha (33.6%) from the existing year 2018. The potential incompatibility of the RTRW with the predicted land use in 2030 is 11,950 ha or 22.7%.

Abstract

Gresik Regency has been trying to implement a green open space policy in the form of a child-friendly park. It is very substantial for Gresik Regency to have a park that can be both as outdoor space for children and also air pollution filter. This study aims to identify the relationship between perceptions of the quality and utilization of green open space with child psychological well-being. Data was collected using Perception of the Quality and Utilization of Green Open Space scale and Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire that obtained from parent’s assessment. The results suggested that there was a relationship between the perception of the quality and utilization of green open space with the child’s psychological well-being in the dimension of strength, specifically in developing prosocial behavior. However, there was no relationship in the dimension of difficulties. The results also obtained that the perception of the quality and utilization of green space in Gresik was good. Even so, the community still perceived the lack of park safety factors. They also infrequently visit the park. These results can be used as an evaluation for the Local Regional Government to improve the safety and comfort factor of the park.
