Abstract

This research has been done in the mining area of andesite rock of Awang Bangkal village by using magnetic method. Magnetic method is one of the most common geophysical methods used for preliminary surveys on petroleum, earth, and mineral rock exploration. It is intended to determine the subsurface distribution in the area by performing qualitative and quantitative interpretations based on the magnetism value of the earth. The result of data processing using geosoft oasis montaj software shows that the total magnetic field anomaly is -807,3 to -361,7 nT. Qualitative interpretation is done by looking at the contour map of the anomaly, the result of upward continuation and the reduction to the poles. While the interpretation is done by making a modeling of the path that has been determined using mag2dc software. The model shows that the rocks that dominate the area are andesite rocks with their susceptibility value of 0.0992 to 0.2305 in SI units.

Abstract

Study of collimation field difference suitability test on analog and digital mammography at leading hospital in Makassar from 2016-2018. This test was carried out by using four coins of the same size placed on the edge of the collimator lamp field, one different size coin was placed on the table edge of the chest wall section, and one coin was placed on the surface under the compression pedal to coincide with the edge of the chest wall. The results of the p value obtained for each measurement point, both for the difference of the light collimation field toward the X-ray beam and the difference of X-ray beam collimation field toward image receptor have the same value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This value states that there are significant differences in the collimation field difference from 2016-2018. The results of collimation field difference suitability test on analog and digital mammography are still within the tolerance limits recommended by BAPETEN, for the difference of the light collimation field toward X-ray beam ≤ 1% SID and the difference of X-ray beam collimation field toward image receptor ≤ 2% SID. This shows that mammography is feasible and able to operate safely for patients and non-patients.

Abstract

Fat is a food substance that is very important to maintain the health of the human body. One source of fat is animal fat. Differences in the type of fat can be known based on the electrical properties of materials such as dielectric constant and capacitance. The purpose of this research is to know the characteristic of dielectric constant and capacitance in animal fat by giving treatment of temperature and frequency variation. This research uses parallel plate capacitor method which is connected to the source of alternating current input voltage and voltmeter as the output voltage meter. The samples studied were chicken fat and beef fat. This research uses input voltage with frequency of 1kHz up to 20kHz, while temperature that is used is varied from 45⁰C decrease to 30⁰C. The results obtained from this study show that the increasing frequency results to the decreasing values of capacitance and dielectric constant in chicken fat and cow fat. The effect of temperature on the capacitance and dielectric constant of chicken fat and cow fat shows non linear relationship

Abstract

Abstract

The application of theoretical physics can be found in textile processing such as yarn manufacturing process. The aim of this research is to determine and to develop a new model to predict the yarn strength of ring spun yarn influenced by the yarn count number (in unit m/g) as well as the delivery speed of yarn in bobbin (vf). In this research we have found a new model to predict the yarn strength on ring spinning machine based on classical mechanics as well as statistical method using nonlinear  multivariate regression .According to this research, we have established that both classical mechanics and nonlinear  multivariate regression can be applied  and developed to predict yarn strength as a function of yarn delivery speed and yarn count number both theoretically and experimentally.

Abstract

DSSC was kind of solar cell based on dye as sensitizer or photon absorber. Scattering layer method used to optimize photon scattered process on working electrode. In this research, variation temperature annealing of scattering layer have done to find out the effect toward DSSC’s efficiency. TiO2 nanopowder and TiO2 transparent are used as semiconductor layer and scattering layer, respectively which deposited with spin coating method. Platinum was deposited on counter electrode with brush painting method. TiO2 nanopowder was annealed at 400oC, while scattering layer were annealed at variation temperature i.e. 400oC, 450oC, 500oC, and 550oC. Dye Ruthenium Complex N719 was used as sensitizer on DSSC’s structure. Result of XRD characterization on working electrode show that highest crystallite size is 18.92 nm with annealing process of scattering layer at 450oC and decreased when the temperature is over 400oC. Photovoltaic characterization used Keithley I-V meter. The annealing process of scattering layer at temperature 450oC has good photovoltaic parameter. This cell has short circuit current (Isc) is  A, open circuit voltage (Voc) is 0.39 V, and fill factor is 0.51. The value of Voc was influenced by the absorption of dye in TiO2 layer. Annealing scattering layer at 450oC produce crystallite structure with higher TiO2 surface area, it can optimize photon absorption of dye more than the annealing process over 450oC. Scattering layer which annealing at 450oC can increase efficiency of DSSC cells from  % to  %.
