JPPT was first published in January 2000. JPPT published a print version in 2007, then started the online version or Open Journal System (OJS) in 2014. Early online versions of JPPT or OJS editing have not yet been fully implemented online management and are beginning to make improvements Web Journal view and journal cover and OJS governance management on Volume 2 No. 2 of 2017. JPPT has been indexed on Google Scholar and Garuda IPI by 2015, and by 2017 it has indexed SINTA and registered DOAJ and Crossref in the same year. We accept submissions from all over Indonesia. Abstract

Test Several Soybean Varieties with Organic Fertilizer in Ultisol Soil, Aceh Tenggara District. Soybean production in dry land dominated by Ultisolsin Southest Aceh Regency is still low, namely 1.57-1.58 tonnes ha-1, to increase soybean production, the provision is by planting high yielding superior varieties and providing organic fertilizers which are able to improve soil fertiliyby donating NPK nutrients. This study aims to test several varities of soybeans by applying organic fertilizers. The research was conducted in Gulo Village, Darul Hasanah Subdistrict, which took place from June to October 2019. Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) was used with 8 combinations of 4 replications. Factor 1: Organic fertilizers, namely without and organic fertilizers. Factor 2: Several varieties, namely Anjasmoro, Bio Soy 1, Bio Say 2, Devon1 . The results showed that the treatment of organic fertilizers with the Bio Soy 2 variety increased the weight of 100 seeds 166.67%, followed by organic fertilizer with the Bio Soy 1 variety, which was 155.56% when compared to treatment without organic fertilizer with the Devon 1 variety. Furthermore, the soybean varieties Bio Soy 2 and Bio Soy 1 have the potential to be developed in the dry land of Southeast Aceh Regency by appllying organic fertilizers.

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Tofu Liquid Waste Organic Fertilizer in Reducing NPK Fertilizer in Cucumber Plants. Tofu waste contains macro nutrients (NPK) and micro nutrients (Fe, Cl, Mn, Cu, Zn). Tofu waste has the potential to become liquid organic fertilizer (POC). The advantages of tofu waste can reduce the use of NPK on cucumber plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of tofu liquid wate oerganic fertilizer in reducing NPK fertilizer in cucumber plants. This research was conducted in farmers' fields on Jalan Sukarela, Kebun Bunga Kelurahan, Sukarami District Km 7 Palembang, South Sumatra, from July to October 2020. Separate plot design was used with 9 treatment combinations that were repeated 3 times. Main plot of tofu waste POC: without (P0), 180 ml / l (P1), and 360 ml / l (P2). Plot Children Percentage of NPK fertilizer from recommended dose (N): 25% (N1), 50% (N2) and 75% (N3). The results showed that the tofu waste POC 360 ml / l of water was very effective in reducing the use of NPK fertilizer by 50% of the recommended dose and increasing the cucumber yield by 472,17% when compared without giving tofu waste POC and NPK fertilizer 25 %

Abstract

Diabetes is a degenerative disease that can arise due to unhealthy lifestyles. Until now there is no cure for this disease, but this disease can be minimized or prevented by consuming healthy food or functional food. Tea-based functional drinks have long been recognized and developed for their potential as an antidiabetic agent. One of them is by combining it with other ingredients like herbal plants. This study processed a black tea-based functional beverage combined with singkil leaves and stems. The purpose of this study was to determine the inhibitory enzymes and phenol content of black tea products combined with single leaf tea, and stem. Based on the analysis, all samples, both consisting of one composition or from the combination, generally have varying phenol levels. The highest inhibitory ability is possessed by tea samples which are categorized as strong, while the lowest inhibitory value is on black tea and singkil tea (THS2) with an IC50 value of 106,236. Based on the parameters of the observation of phenol levels, samples that have the highest phenol content are black tea (182,586 µg GEA / 100 g sample) while the sample with the lowest phenol content is tea (6,413 µg GEA / 100 g sample). All samples showed the ability to inhibit the alpha-glucosidase enzyme with a range between medium to strong. Phenol content is the only parameter used in this study. The overall sample showed the higher phenol levels have the enzyme inhibitory ability which tends to decrease. There may be a role from other indigenous secondary metabolite compounds that are not yet known from this study apart from compounds that arise due to the effects of the processing, such as. The results of the correlation test analysis showed a strong relationship between phenol contains and enzyme inhibitory properties (R = 0,765). Abstract

The formation of roots (adventive) and shoots as well as a slow dormancy period is an inhibiting factor for the successful implementation of cuttings. Increasing the slow growth of roots and shoots and accelerating plant dormancy is an effort to overcome this. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth response of grape stem cuttings (Vitis vinifera L.) to the immersion time on several types of PGR. This research was carried out for 3 months from January to April 2021 at the yard of Jurangsapi Village, Tapen District, Bondowoso Regency, East Java at an altitude of 226 meters above sea level. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with the first factor being the type of PGR (Z), with 3 levels, namely: Z1: Rootone-F 300 mg/liter of water, Z2: onion extract 800 ml/liter of water, Z3 : extract of bean sprouts 300 ml/liter of water, and the second factor is the long immersion (L) for 3 levels, namely: L1: 0.25 hours, L2: 6 hours, L3: 12 hours. The results showed that a single factor of PGR had an effect on increasing shoot length (8,10, and 12 WAP), shoot diameter (6 WAP), and number of leaves (10 and 12 WAP) of grape plants with the best PGR of Rootone-F. The long immersion treatment had a significant effect on the percentage of success in planting grape cuttings with the best soaking time of 6 hours. While the interaction between PGR type treatment and long immersion significantly affected shoot length (6,8,10, and 12 WAP), number of leaves (4, 8,10, and 12 WAP), and canopy wet weight of grape cuttings with the best treatment on PGR Rootone-F and 0.25 hours of long immersion. Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the arrowroot morphology characters and its distribution pattern in Jember District, East Java Province. Plant inventory was carried out in 6 sub-districts, i.e. Arjasa, Sumbersari, Silo, Tanggul, Semboro, and Wuluhan from July to October 2021 using survey method. The sampling technique was done by accidental sampling. The results of dendogram analysis based on morphological characters showed that Sumbersari, Wuluhan, and Arjasa were sub-district areas with a lot of arrowroots, if compared to other 3 sub-districts. Three main groups were formed based on the similarity of arrowroot morphological characters, accessions from geographically adjacent sub-district or village had greater morphological similarities. Leaf length has a close relationship with leaf width, leaf sheath length, and leaf petiole diameter. The distance between stem segments has a correlation with stem height. The longest fibrous roots and stem diameter contributed less to arrowroot diversity. The number of internodes positively correlated with tuber circumference, tuber length, and tuber weight. Arrowroot plant accessions grew in groups according to certain morphological characteristics, which was also showed a close relationship between these accessions. Abstract

The use of oil in the food and non-food industries is increasing with the increasing number of findings on oleochemical synthesis processes that can be applied on an industrial scale. MAGs and DAGs are used as part of fat products and are often associated with other emulsifiers. MAG synthesis can be carried out chemically and enzymatically. The glycerolysis process using lipase enzymes as biocatalysts requires relatively low energy and produces products with better quality. This study uses enzymatic glycerolysis and will observe the distribution pattern of the glycerolysis product which describes the level of completeness of the reaction. The distribution pattern that describes the perfection of the reaction is a distribution pattern that has spots that spread regularly (not random/straight). The experiment was carried out with a single factor and two replications. The data are presented in the form of tables and histograms, then the results are discussed descriptively. Treatment factors, namely the ratio of the mixture of CPO and PKO consisting of 11 ratios of CPO and PKO: 0.2; 0.4; 0.6; 0.8; 1.0; 1,2; 1.4; 1.6; 1.8 and two controls. Based on the observations made, the glycerolysis of a mixture of CPO and PKO in various ratios, produces a pattern of distribution on the TLC plate which is regular and the Rf (Retardation factor) value shows that from closest to furthest are MAG, DAG, ALB, and TAG with Rf 0.01; 0.12; 0.31; 0.57, respectively. The highest MAG yield was produced by the results of glycerolysis of CPO control (83.90%) followed by PKO control (74.90%) and a mixture of CPO-PKO with a ratio of 0.8 (73.71%). The highest yield of MAG-DAG was produced by a mixture of CPO-PKO with a ratio of 1.6 (93.21%) followed by CPO control (91.88%) and a ratio of 0.8 (73.71%). Abstract

Among the superior varieties can be obtained through breeding. The low level of farmer adoption of improved varieties resulting from breeding is partly due to the different preferences of farmers with breeding. The development of specific varieties will be successful through a participatory breeding program that involves breeders, farmers and rice industry players in the selection process for prospective new varieties. The research objective was to analyze and select the quantitative and qualitative characters of 12 new rice lines to produce new superior rice varieties that were more suitable to farmers' tastes. The research in the field was compiled using a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), as a treatment consisting of 12 lines of F11 generation, each treatment was repeated three times. Observations were made on the like and dislike statements of respondents consisting of 20 farmers on the phenotypic character of each line, as well as an assessment of the phenotype acceptance of each line as assessed by the breeders (4 breeders) before harvest following the guidelines (IRRI, 2002) . The results showed that the F3 line had the highest preference value, namely the value of 0.9, meaning that the farmers liked the most. The line with the lowest preference value is the D2 line with a value of -1 (minus one), meaning that it is the least preferred. Based on the phenotype acceptance value of the breeders for each line, three lines had a phenotypic value of 1 or very good value, namely the B4, H1, and H4 lines, while those with a value of 3 or good were eight lines, namely the B2, B3, B7, D2, D3, F3, F4, and L2 lines. One line has a bad phenotype value, namely the K.

Abstract

It is necessary to strengthen the resilience of farmer households by increasing their adaptability and mitigating difficult conditions or risks of business that make unsustainable. The sources of the potential economic vulnerability of farmer households are the initial information for basic dealing with business risks. The ability to identify potential sources of vulnerability as an economic risk will stimulate efforts to increase productivity, income, and rural economic growth. This research focuses on exploring the potential sources of the economic vulnerability of coffee farmers' households in the upstream Lampung watershed. The survey research conducted in coffee production centers in three sub-districts coverage​​the upstream Way Besai watershed, West Lampung. It was Air Hitam, Way Tenong, and Sumber Jaya sub-districts with a total of 165 coffee farmers as respondents. The data analysis method used a non-parametric statistical approach. The results of the study indicate that the source of the potential economic vulnerability of farmers in the upstream watershed is closely related to the ownership and area of ​​land assets. Land assets are the main source of income for farming households and a source of household expenditure allocation for both food and non-food, including for savings and investment purposes. These important factors become important entry points in efforts to build resilient farmer household resilience. Resilience is the basic social capital in achieving sustainable production.

Abstract

One of the efforts that can be made to optimize the growth of double tone oil palm seedlings is to apply an appropriate combination of fertilization. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best KNO3 concentration and dose of NPK fertilizer in optimizing the growth of double tone oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. The research was carried out from December to July 2021. The research location was in the Oil Palm Seedling Business Unit of the Lampung State Polytechnic, Rajabasa, Bandar Lampung. This research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) which was repeated 5 times. The first factor is the concentration of KNO3 fertilizer which consists of 3 levels, namely 0%, 2%, and 4%. The second factor is the dose of Compound NPK fertilizer which consists of 2 levels, namely 2.5 g and 5 g. Observations were made on the variables of seedling height, seedling diameter, leaf greenness, number of midribs and leaf area. Observational data were analyzed by F test at level =5%. If the results of the analysis of variance are significant, then it is continued with the smallest significant difference test (BNT) at the level of =5%. The results showed that the application of 4% KNO3 with a dose of 5 g compound NPK fertilizer showed the best results in optimizing the growth of double tone oil palm seedlings in the main nursery on all observation variables.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze what factors affect consumer satisfaction with Suhita honey, analyze what factors affect consumer loyalty Suhita honey, analyze the effect of satisfaction on consumer loyalty Suhita honey, describe a model of consumer loyalty on product attributes of Suhita honey. This research was conducted by survey method and direct observation. The sampling method in this study will be carried out using the accidental sampling method. The analytical techniques used are descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The results showed that only two variables had a significant effect, namely the product quality variable with P-values ​​of 0.033 (<0.05) and the service quality variable with P-values ​​of 0.031 (<0.05). Meanwhile, the price variable has no significant effect on consumer satisfaction, seen from the P-values ​​of 0.815 (> 0.05). Furthermore, for the test results whether there is an influence between consumer satisfaction on consumer loyalty shows a significant influence seen from the value with P-values ​​of 0.000 (<0.05), meaning that satisfaction has an effect on consumer loyalty.
