Abstract

All parents expect to have healthy, proud, and perfect children, however, sometimes things don't go the way they want. Some parents get the child they want and some don't. Some of them have children with special needs, such as autism. In Indonesia, each year, children with autism continue to increase. In 2015, it is estimated that there are approximately 12,800 children with autism and 134,000 children with the Autism spectrum in Indonesia. In addition to the lack of information and knowledge, preconceived notions also make parents reluctant to hand over their children for treatment. This research is motivated by the lack of solutions offered to existing problems by utilizing the development of information technology. The rapid development of technology in Indonesia has contributed a lot to the problems experienced by society with the birth of various kinds of smart systems. The development of a smart system based on an expert system can be a solution to the diagnosis of autism that appears in toddlers. The expert system that is offered is a system that can diagnose autism in toddlers in the Langkat district by implementing a method that can make decisions by providing the best solution. A good method is a method that has a high level of accuracy. The method used in this study is the Naive Bayes method where this method has been proven to be able to solve complex problems by predicting existing probabilities.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pedagogik guru dalam bidang TIK pada guru SMK Al-Maksum Stabat dan terdapat peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dengan tersedianya media pembelajaran berbasis e-learning. Metode yang digunakan berupa metode ceramah, metode diskusi, dan metode praktek. Indikator keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: (1) adanya respon positif peserta terhadap pelatihan pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis aplikasi e-learning XHTML editor; dan (2) Adanya produk bahan ajar yang dihasilkan peserta pelatihan yaitu bahan ajar berbasis aplikasi e-learning XHTML editor. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) para guru telah memiliki pengetahuan membuat bahan ajar berbasis aplikasi e-learning XHTML editor, (2) para guru telah memiliki bahan ajar berbasis aplikasi e-learning XHTML editor, dan (3) para guru telah memiliki pengetahuan dalam membuat dan mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis aplikasi e-learning XHTML editor, (4) guru memiliki respon positif terkait kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis e-learning XHTML editor..

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of CCTV installation training in increasing students' awareness and knowledge about security. The results showed that the training was effective in increasing students' awareness of school safety and their knowledge of CCTV installation. The long-term impact of this training includes students' active role in maintaining school safety and improving the overall quality of education. Implementation recommendations include comprehensive training planning, collaboration with related parties, evaluation and coaching, as well as further counseling. Although this research has limitations, such as the limited number of samples, the results make an important contribution to the development of innovative and effective learning methods

Abstract

Meningkatkan mutu pendidikan merupakan bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Berbagai pendekatan hendaknya dilakukan dan digunakan oleh guru seperti strategi yang digunakan, metode dan model pembelajaran dimana dengan adanya variasi pendekatan baru dapat memudahkan peserta didik dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan. Mata pelajaran simulasi digital adalah mata pelajaran yang mempelajari tentang pemanfaatan TIK dan perkembangannya. Pada mata pelajaran ini peserta didik dituntut untuk mengenal, menggunakan, dan menjadi kreatif, serta menggunakan segala potensi yang ada untuk mengembangkan kemampuan diri. Standar kompetensi mata pelajaran Simulasi Digital untuk Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan kelas X (sepuluh) semester I (satu) yaitu mengenai “Penggalian Ide” yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan software iTALC terkhusus pada materi “Peta Minda” yaitu melakukan praktikum menggunakan perangkat lunak FreeMind untuk menguasai pembuatan peta minda yang didemokan melalui iTALC. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara observasi awal dengan beberapa siswa kelas X semester I di SMKS Mahyal Ulum Al-Aziziyah terkait dengan mata pelajaran simulasi digital, banyak siswa mengatakan bahwa pelajaran simulasi digital itu sesungguhnya tidak begitu sulit. Berdasarkan masalah yang ditemukan maka proses pembelajaran harus memanfaatkan fasilitas yang ada di sekolah. Adanya fasilitas jaringan LAN di laboratorium komputer maka dapat mempermudah akses antar komputer satu dengan komputer lain serta akses komputer peserta didik dengan komputer guru. Guru dapat menggunakan jaringan LAN untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan program aplikasi iTALC. iTALC adalah aplikasi gratis dan open source, yang berarti tidak perlu membayar lisensi yang mahal untuk menggunakan aplikasi tersebut.  Selain kode sumber gratis, aplikasi ini juga bebas untuk dimodifikasi selama menghormati ketentuan lisensi. Pemanfaatan iTALC bertujuan untuk mempermudah guru memberikan materi pelajaran secara terorganisir dan untuk mengatasi kejenuhan belajar peserta didik dengan tampilan atau gaya baru

Abstract

Masalah yang terdapat pada penelitian ini adalah minimnya ketersediaan media pembelajaran yang menunjang pembelajaran Multimedia dan kurangnya pengembangan media pembelajaran khususnya pada media pembelajaran menggunakan Power point. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media dan mengetahui kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas multimedia menggunakan model pengembangan Project Based Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Development and Disseminate). Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X dan objek penelitian ini adalah Multimedia berbasis model Project Based Learning berbasis Power Point. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validasi oleh Ahli Materi tahap I sebelum revisi memperoleh persentase 76,92% kategori “Layak” kemudian pada tahap II memperoleh persentase 89,23% kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil validasi oleh ahli media pada tahap I sebelum revisi memperoleh persentase 73,68% kategori “Layak”, kemudia pada tahap II memperoleh persentase 89,47% kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil Validasi oleh ahli bahasa pada tahap I sebelum revisi memperoleh persentase 78,46% kategori “Layak”, kemudian pada tahap II memperoleh persentase 90,76% kategori “Sangat Layak”. Uji validasi oleh pendidik memperoleh persentase 81,66% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil uji respon siswa skala kecil memperoleh persentase rata-rata 70% dengan kategori “Layak”, dan uji respon siswa skala besar memperoleh persentase rata-rata 75% dengan kategori “Layak”. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan merupakan sangat layak, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK).

Abstract

Research using the backpropagation artificial neural network algorithm to diagnose ARI pneumonia in toddlers in Langkat Regency is very urgent. ISPA (Acute Respiratory Infection) and Pneumonia are two diseases that are still a health problem in Indonesia, especially for toddlers. These diseases are often difficult to diagnose accurately and on time, so that treatment is not optimal. This can have an impact on the high death rate due to this disease. By using the backpropagation artificial neural network algorithm, research can develop an intelligent application system that can help diagnose ARI pneumonia in toddlers with higher accuracy. In this study, the data used may include the patient's symptoms and health history, such as a history of fever, cough and shortness of breath. This method is expected to minimize diagnostic errors and increase the speed of providing appropriate treatment. Apart from that, this smart application can also help medical personnel in rural areas who may have limitations in diagnosing this disease.

Abstract

The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, and the sampling technique employed is Stratified Random Sampling. The research sample consists of students from class X TKRO-1 as the experimental group and class X TKRO-2 as the control group, with 32 students in each group. The experimental group received treatment in the form of inquiry training-based learning using digital modules, while the control group underwent conventional learning. The research instrument used in this study was a multiple-choice test consisting of 20 items with 5 answer choices. The results of the study showed that the average score of the experimental group was 81.09, while the average score of the control group was 70.63. Significance testing with a significance level of α 0.05 (5%) indicated that the obtained t-test value was significant (2-tailed), which was 0.00, with the students' learning outcomes being less than 0.05. Therefore, Ha was accepted, indicating a significant difference in mathematical ability between students who applied the inquiry training learning model and those who applied the conventional learning model

Abstract

The application of lecture method as a teaching approach has been proven to be one of the factors contributing to low student grades. This is because the lecture method still revolves around the teacher as the primary source of information without actively involving the students. To address this issue, the solution is to implement Project Based Learning as a teaching method. This research utilized a quasi-experimental design. The population of this study consisted of X TKJ class students. Samples were selected using purposive sampling technique, with X TKJ 1 as the experimental group and X TKJ 2 as the control group. Data collection was conducted through tests and observations. Data analysis was performed using t-test and standardized gain test. Based on the research findings, there was a significant improvement in learning outcomes in the experimental group, with an increase of 78.74 categorized as high. Meanwhile, the control group showed a lower improvement in learning outcomes, with an increase of 28.33 categorized as low. Therefore, it can be concluded that students in X TKJ class, who were taught Jaringan Dasar subject using the Project Based Learning method with Cisco Packet Tracer as the media, exhibited higher improvement in learning outcomes compared to students taught with the lecture method.

Abstract

In the 4.0 revolution era, technological developments are developing very fast. The security system is also growing, so that it can be implemented in various needs. One of them is a smart home system that can be monitored without limits using a smartphone. Currently CCTV is one of the security tools that are widely used at home, office, and others. There are also many CCTVs available that are digital, so the images are clearer and can be connected directly to the internet. The internet used also does not require a connection that is too fast but must be stable. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the home security system can use digital CCTV connected to the internet. CCTV that is connected to the internet can be monitored using a smartphone anytime and anywhere. The storage capacity used is 32 Gb and can store recordings for 9 days non-stop. The disadvantage of this system is that if the internet is unstable, playback will be interrupted, because the playback system used is directly accessed from CCTV
