Abstract

Globalisasi mendorong pertumbuhan migrasi di berbagai wilayah, baik di dalam maupun antar negara. Di Kabupaten Garut jumlah perantau meningkat hampir 15% setiap tahunnya. Aktifitas migrasi tidak luput dari kebutuhan komunikasi antarbudaya pada wilayah yang terkena dampak migrasi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan pemahaman serta menjelaskan lebih dalam komunikasi antar budaya yang dilakukan perantau ketika berkomunikasi dengan masyarakat lokal yang ada di Garut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, studi kepustakaan, dokumentasi, dan gabungan/triangulasi. Peneliti meneliti enam informan sebagai sumber informasi dengan menggunakan pursposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi perantau dengan masyarakat lokal yang ada di Garut lebih dominan menggunakan pola percakapan dua arah dengan pengalaman belajar berkomunikasi sendiri ataupun diajarkan orang lain dan kesan positif yang dihadapi. Bentuk interaksi yang digunakan yaitu bentuk antarpribadi karena dianggap lebih efektif, lebih nyaman, dan terdapat toleransi di dalamnya, meskipun ada pula yang menggunakan bentuk interaksi kelompok karena dipengaruhi oleh faktor pengaruh kondisi dan situasi sekitar. Sedangkan, hambatan komunikasi yang dihadapi yaitu hambatan bahasa yang digunakan, faktor fisik dari perantau, hambatan penyampaian kalimat saat berkomunikasi, dan hambatan perbedaan sosial budaya.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs carried out by the Public Relations Department of Health in disseminating the Covid-19 vaccination program in Garut Regency. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation and literature study. The results showed that the program planning carried out by the Public Relations Office of the Garut Regency Health Office by analyzing the situation by interviewing all elements of society. The results of the evaluation of the program that have been carried out have caused a quick reaction, especially in enthusiasm, understanding and awareness of the importance of vaccines. The media make a very big contribution in providing understanding, especially on misinformation, but with intense socialization it can change people's thoughts and actions..

Abstract

Digitalization brings benefits to the development of communication media around the world. Now communication can be done interactively and in real-time through digital media. Social media is a popular digital communication media used by teenagers to interact socially. The phenomenon that occurs is a change in behavior and activities of social media users, especially teenagers. The ease of accessing and exchanging information gives rise to the phenomenon of the spread of hoaxes. Kominfo revealed that there were 565,449 hoax content circulating through social media throughout 2021. This study aims to determine the impact of digital-based media literacy on the behavior of anti-spreading hoaxes among teenagers. This research uses quantitative and verification methods. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents from SMA Negeri 2 Lembang students. Samples were taken based on purposive sampling category. Data analysis used simple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 20.0. The results showed that there was a significant negative impact of digital-based media literacy on the behavior of anti-spreading hoaxes among adolescents with a coefficient of determination of 73.4%, while the remaining 53.8% was influenced by other variables not examined.

Abstract

Batik Tulis Garutan is part of the local wisdom typical of Garut Regency which is still surviving until now. Currently, Batik Tulis Garutan is concentrated in Garut city, the average production capacity per year is 1,600 pieces. Based on the data obtained, this study intends to find out how the Garutan Batik Written House RM maintains the existence of Garutan hand-drawn batik. The purpose of this study is to explain how to define problems or opportunities, planning and programming, taking action and communication, and evaluating programs in the Communication Strategy of Rumah Batik Tulis Garutan RM. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. While the data collection techniques used in this study were in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The subject of this research is the Garutan Batik Writer House Manager, who is involved in implementing the communication program planning strategy, totaling three people using snowball sampling. The result of the research shows that Rumah Batik Tulis Garutan RM has not been able to implement the implementation of the workshop program as a communication strategy in maintaining the existence of Batik Tulis Garutan. It is shown that Rumah Batik Tulis Garutan RM .in defining the problem or analyzing the situation is not enough to find out how the problem is happening, because it is more focused on the production and sale of products. In the planning and programming strategy there is a structured plan that contains goals, targets, conveys messages in an informative, persuasive and instructive manner, but there is no maximum technical arrangement, the strategy is carried out by maximizing good relations with external parties as targets and utilizing the media. Implementation is done by compiling a periodic scale, the allocation of resources. The evaluation was carried out by Rumah Batik Tulis Garutan RM based on the number of participants, with this number it can be seen that the enthusiasm of the community in supporting the implementation of the program was carried out.

Abstract

The objective of this research is analyze the motives, meanings and experiences experienced by Garut youth in the use of the sentence "Sampurasun”. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used by researchers are in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation. With Sundanese Cultural Resource Person. The results of this study say that in Sundanese communication there is a characteristic in escorting conversations and what is used is a sentence "Sampurasun" which has a very deep meaning, but in its use today it experiences a shift in meaning which is influenced by internal and external factors in this case. The researcher found with various informants' perspectives on the motives of meaning and experience in the pronunciation of the sentence "Sampurasun" which resulted in an answer to several things that made a shift in the meaning of a sentence and also here found the actual meaning said by the resource person, namely the Sundanese Cultural himself.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and interpret the factors that encourage audiences to access the Sing! Karaoke by Smule. This research method is qualitative with an interpretative approach. This research was carried out during January 2022 with data collection techniques through interview techniques, literature searches, and interpretation of the data. Interviews were conducted with nine users of the Smule application using several methods, including face-to-face (with health protocols), Video Call, and WhatsApp Chat. The results show that the number of people who access the Smule application cannot be separated from the needs that underlie the users to use it. This is in line with what was stated by Katz, Gurevitch and Haas regarding human needs related to the use of media, namely the existence of cognitive needs, affective needs, personal integrative needs, social integrative needs and the need for escape or tension release.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the emergence of influencer news that is currently busy in the media audience. One of them is the online media kompas.com which continuously reports on the context of the news. The purpose of this research is to find out the dimensions of the text, discursive practices and socio-cultural practices featured in the reporting on the Doni Salmanan case on kompas.com. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using the theory of Critical Discourse Analysis model of Norman Fairclough as the basis for knowing the microstructural, mesostructural and macrostructural elements displayed in news texts. Data collection techniques were carried out, namely interviews, literature study and documentation. By including news writers and kompas.com editors from the object of analysis as informants. The results of the study show that the aspect of the text dimension in sentence representation displays an event that occurred to Doni Salmanan's influencer related to a trading fraud case. The relations shown by journalists show support for news participants by using direct sentences from news participants supported by indirect sentences from statements from journalists. The culture that occurs is high public interest in information related to criminal cases and celebrities and virality, so that is one of the reasons for the appearance of Doni Salmanan's news on kompas.com. At the situational level, Kompas.com journalists are journalists stationed at the National Police Headquarters so that news is dominated by police statements.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya membangun komunikasi yang humanis antara media dengan Humas Polresta Serang dalam upaya untuk memperbaiki hubungan yang sudah ada, memperbaiki citra negatif yang berkembang di publik. Menjalin hubungan yang baik ini sebagai upaya dalam memberikan pelayanan yang terbaik untuk masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan analisis situasi, penyusunan strategi, implementasi strategi dan evaluasi strategi yang dilakukan oleh Humas Polresta Serang Kota. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan adalah Theory of 4 Steps of Public Relations of Cutlip, Center & Broom. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi, wawancara mendalam, studi kepustakaan, serta dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Dalam penelitan ini terdapat dua narasumber yang ahli dalam bidang kehumasan dari akademisi dan praktisi media, serta tiga informan merupakan wartawan sebagai mitra yang bekerjasama dengan Humas Polresta Serang Kota. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa analisis situasi strategi komunikasi Humas Polresta Serang Kota dalam membangun hubungan baik dengan media terjalin secara dinamis, dengan mengedepankan profesionalitas dan asas kekeluargaan. Pada aspek penyusunan strategi dengan mempelajari karakteristik media, bersikap responsif serta membuat forum diskusi. Kemudian mengimplementasikan strategi dengan menyediakan fasilitas yang nyaman dan menggelar acara bersama wartawan, kemudian mengevaluasi strategi dengan melaksanakan pertemuan rutin dengan wartawan. Simpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa analisis situasi, penyusunan strategi, implementasi strategi dan evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh Polresta Serang Kota menjadi alat utama dalam mendukung program-program yang dijalankan dan mendukung pencapaian opini publik yang dinamis, terbuka dan tanggungjawab dalam menjaga hubungan baik dengan media sebagai fungsi edukatif bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

Along with the sophistication of technology and the behavior of people who prefer to move at home using the internet during a pandemic, product marketing can now be integrated with online-based marketing. Online-based marketing strategies are important, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic hits Indonesia, where people prefer to do activities at home using the internet. The background of this research is the existence of community activities in cyberspace (internet) during the pandemic which makes companies need to optimize their online-based marketing communications. One of the business fields that are required to follow the online-based marketing style during this pandemic is the book publishing company PT Raja Grafindo Persada (RGP). This study will analyze online-based marketing communications during the pandemic at the book publishing company PT RGP. The research method used is a qualitative method that will describe the marketing of book products during a pandemic which can be seen from PT RGP's online-based marketing communications. The data collection method in this study will use the method of observation, documentation, and literature study to produce data validity. The activity that was chosen purposively was the online marketing communication activity of the publisher PT RGP during the pandemic. The results showed that the publisher of PT. RGP, especially during this pandemic, carried out online-based marketing communications optimally. They perform 5 stages of optimally integrated marketing communications.
