Abstract

The article identifies the criteria for choosing a trade show and develops a basic model of exhibition selection for creative industry players before deciding to participate in a trade show. It is necessary to ensure that expenses in terms of business, money, and time, will be worth the results. Based on literature review and interviews, six criteria were used, namely location, booth position, organizational reputation, cost estimation, prestige, and reputation of other participants. After selection criteria are identified, then calculations are performed to measure the criteria weight by using the AHP approach. Based on weight calculations, it was found that booth positions had the highest importance weight, followed by trade show location, organizers reputation, cost estimation, prestige and reputation of other participants. The weight value is then used to calculate the trade shows prediction value. The predicted value generated from the model is then compared to the value of the past data. The model has an accuracy rate of 89% and does not have a significant difference between the value generated by the model and the value of the past data.

Abstract

AbstractThe failure of organization in realizing the benefit from ERP system implementation is caused by most organization thought that success installation of ERP system is enough and they don’t put into concern things happened in post-implementation stage. Even though, the greatest challenge in ERP implementation is on how to ensure that ERP system users use ERP continuously. It is obvious that ERP system user possess individual characteristic that might be differ one another and will affect their decision to continue use ERP system or not. Therefore, it is necessary to identify on aspect that can drive ERP system continuance usage by its user. Agent-based simulation approach is considered appropriate in identifying continuance usage performed by the user. It is because agent-based simulation approach allows observation related various behavior of an agent. Thus, this study aimed to predict continuance usage performed by the ERP users using agent-based simulation approach based on user’s individual characteristics.  Several scenarios related to user’s intrinsic motivation and absorptive capacity for applying generated in this study.  The result of this study found that continuance usage of ERP system in organization is influenced by user’s individual characteristics. When the majority of ERP system users have high IM and ACP then discontinuity of ERP system most likely will not happen. On the other side, special treatment must be performed when the majority of the ERP users have low IM and ACP. Further action that can be taken by manager with low IM and ACP on ERP users was discussed in this paper.

Abstract

One of aspect that contributes to improving organizations performance is knowledge transfer effectiveness. On the other hand, knowledge transfer is a dynamic interaction between people, process, and environment so that activity related to knowledge transfer categorized as a complex and adaptive process. The use of agent-based modeling and simulation approach is very appropriate in modeling knowledge transfer due to its ability to deal with the dynamic, complex, and adaptive process. Moreover, the agent-based approach has the ability in describing the interaction between the social agent that possess particular behavior. The purposes of this study are to identify the factors that influence the success of knowledge transfer in the university laboratory. In addition, the results show that agent-based modeling and simulation approach can determine the best scenario that can increase the success of knowledge transfer based on grouping of colleagues.

Abstract

Wedding organizers, as one of the creative industries, often participate in a trade show as one of the marketing mediums. Many wedding-related trades show events are held every year. But the cost to participate in one trade show event is quite expensive and increases from time to time. Thus, before deciding to participate in a trade show, it is important to evaluate whether the trade show events are recommended to join or not. The purpose of this study is to design a decision support system that will help the wedding organizer to decide their participation in a trade show. The decision model was constructed using AHP and TOPSIS methods. There are seven factors considered in the model, i.e., tradeshow location, reputation and professionalism of the organizer, cost estimation, trade show prestige, tenant reputation, time of the event, the attractiveness of the event. By using the AHP method, the priority weight of each factor was calculated. Moreover, the weight obtained will be used in developing a decision model combined with the TOPSIS method. The decision support system was developed afterward by using the SCRUM method. The feature of the system is discussed in the paper.

Abstract

West Java Province is one of the provinces with the most flood disasters, which is 863 times and the highest number of floods occurred in Kabupaten Bandung is 228 times. Because floods often occur in Kabupaten Bandung make BPBD (Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah) must respond to this problem, including by choosing a quick evacuation location. Choosing an appropriate evacuation route is very helpful in reducing losses and especially saving people's lives. So we need a computer-based system that can help BPBD in determining which location is most suitable as an evacuation location in Kabupaten Bandung by using the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method. This method is a simple weighting method or additional weighting to solve problems in a decision support system. The results of this study are a rank of recommendations for evacuation locations in Kabupaten Bandung. To test the feasibility and suitability of the system, a BlackBox test and user acceptance test was carried out.
