Abstract

Wall following is one of the methods used in navigating the movement of robot applications. Because the robot moves along the wall, the ultrasonic sensor is used as a barrier detector capable of measuring the distance between the robot and the wall. The six-legged robot is a hexapod robot has six pieces of legs and each leg has three joints that are used to move. The leg movement is based on the inverse kinematics to obtain the angle value of each joint. Nevertheless, a six-legged robot requires stability in order to move smoothly while following the wall. In this work, a robot was developed using a proportional derivative controller to implemented on wall follower navigation. The PID controller is determined using analytic tuning to produce the controller parameters that are used to make the robot move straighten and keep the position against the wall. Overall, the application of inverse kinematics and PID control on the wall following robot navigation can improve the stability of the robot with a set point value of 8-16 cm on the wall length of 1.5 within 9296 % of average success rate.

Abstract

In the health aspect, it is known that the older a person is, the more health complaints will be. As many as 37.11 percent of the pre-elderly population (45-59 years) had experienced health complaints in the last month, while young elderly (60-69 years) amounted to 48.39 percent, middle aged people (70-79 years) amounted to 57.65 percent and elderly (80-89 years) of 64.01 percent complaining about their health condition. Furthermore, judging from the elderly morbidity rates, namely the disruption of daily activities as a result of health complaints. This activity aims to enable the community, especially the elderly, to overcome their minor illnesses independently, the illness suffered by the elderly group can be overcome or reduced, the use of chemical drugs consumed by the elderly can be reduced in dosage or amount, and the quality of life of the elderly group can be better. The activities carried out were acupressure and herbal counseling, examination of height, weight, nutritional status, blood pressure, examination of blood sugar, cholesterol, gout and therapeutic services for acupuncture to the elderly to overcome or alleviate the disease. Participants present or patients in community service activities in both locations for 12 times were 317 people, of which the majority of participants in this activity were women. Pain is the most common complaint experienced by patients who come to this community service. Many people present in this community service complain that they have sleep disturbances or insomnia. The community feels very happy and welcomes this activity because with this activity the community's knowledge is increasing, they have started practicing acupressure independently as well as herbal medicine for themselves, their families or those around them to cope with the mild ailments experienced. The community becomes aware of their health conditions through examinations, and is more motivated to maintain their life patterns. The perceived complaints, especially pain and sleeplessness disturbances experienced decreased after receiving acupuncture therapy. Especially complaints of pain, where most feel the pain is greatly reduced or immediately disappear after receiving acupuncture therapy even though only one therapy. Only a small number who feel the pain has not diminished, but reduced or disappeared after several acupuncture therapies. Community knowledge related to acupressure and herbal medicine increases, motivation to maintain a good lifestyle increases, and complaints of illness especially pain can be reduced by acupuncture therapy.

Abstract

DC motor is an easy-to-apply motor but has inconsistent speed due to the existing load. PID (Proportional Integral Differential) is one of the standard controllers of DC motors. This study aimed to know the PID controller's performance in controlling the speed of a DC motor. The results showed that the PID controller could improve the error and transient response of the system response generated from DC motor speed control. Based on the obtained system response data from testing and tuning the PID parameters in controlling the speed of a DC motor, the PID controller parameters can affect the rate of a DC motor on the setpoint of 500, 1000, 1500: Kp = 0.05, Ki = 0.0198, Kd = 0.05.

Abstract

In the technology to create prototypes for electronic hardware is usually constructed using surface mount device printed circuit board (SMD PCB). In this paper introduces the design and implementation of low-cost electrical solder paste dispenser that supports the PCB solder process. The design consists of a nozzle and linear drive systems based on stepper motors operating with electric power to push the plunger down to drop the solder paste on the board. To test the performance of solder paste that has been designed verified by experiment. Solder paste dispenser design was tested using SMD resistor with the solder pads of different sizes for R0603, R0805, and R1206 on PCB. The results showed that the design of the prototype was able to put the pasta in various field pads between 0.54 mm2, 0.91 mm2 and 1.44 mm2 for standard solder pads with an error in the 2% - 5%. Based on the results, the device has been shown to potentially be used to attach electronic components to printed circuit boards.

Abstract

The world needs to pay attention to children who often become victims of violence and cannot escape social problems. Various safety devices that are commonly known as smart wearable devices have been created, but they still have many shortcomings. Thus, in this research a safety device that can be held by children is designed and is equipped with a button that can be pressed, then it will automatically send the location and photo of the scene to the parent's cellphone via the telegram application. It uses the Raspberry Pi Zero W controller, the GNSS HMC5983 SAW LNA GPS Module to determine the location, and the 5MP Raspberry Pi Zero Camera Module to capture the incident. Based on the results, the average time needed to share locations is 0.91 seconds, and the average time needed to capture is 11.57 seconds, if the device and receiving cellphone use the same network. Additionally, the average time needed to share locations is 0.96 seconds, and the average time needed to capture is 12.09 seconds, if the device and receiving cellphone use a different network. Both conditions have 97.5% location accuracy rate and 100% photo accuracy rate.

Abstract

Background: One of the artifacts found on the CT scan is a metal artifact. Metal artifacts are caused by metal objects present in patients’ bodies. The file of metal artifacts can cover the organ that will be evaluated, and it can be inferred with the pixel value (CT number) assessment of the tissue around the metal. Purpose: To determine the effect of the band pass median filter and find the optimal filter to reduce metal artifacts on the head CT scan. Method: A total of 43 samples of patients’s files from head CT-scan without any contrast were reconstructed using four band pass median filters and obtained R1, R2, R5, and R10 filters. Two radiology specialists were assessed for the reduction of metal artifacts using the ImageJ application. Result: Four variations of the filter affected the reduction of metal artifacts because the band pass median filter maintained a point that was close to its neighboring points and points that were different from its neighboring points by replacing the value of the pixel with the median value of the grey level of neighboring pixels. The optimal filter recommendation is the R1 filter because it has the largest SNR value (16.9773) and the smallest RMSE value (8.57501) so that the result of the image is more informative and has a diagnostic value. Conclusion: The four filter variations were affected by reducing metal artifacts. Images with substantial SNR and fractional RMSE values produced an image that was more informative and still had diagnostic value.

Abstract

An automatic parcel sorting is used for sorting the shaped box parcel to increase efficiency in the sorting process. In this research, the sorting machine is developed by implementing fuzzy logic controller using cameras on otomation system. Fuzzy logic is implemented to determine the size of the box based on broad sides of a package surface. Automatic sorting machine formed from conveyor belt can sort an object using DC servo motors. Cameras as vision sensor are utilized to detecting object with an accuracy of 87.5%. The experiments shownthe implementation of fuzzy logic controller in automatic parcel sorting can sort for three sizes classification of parcel with percentage of success are more than 80%.
