Abstract

Batik artisan tends to bend his neck while using a tool called canting to make batik fabrics for long hours (approximately 12 hours). Viewed from the health perspective, working in such position for long hours may cause abdominal muscles to be inelastic, bent spine and strained eye muscles. Health disorders are cummulative and if left alone for long period they will get worse, impair health and reduce work productivity. Batik artisans may produce batik fabrics in great amount but their long term health tends to be overlooked. Therefore, this study was aimed to analyze the effects of muscle overstretch (weight factor) and unnatural work posture (unnatural posture factor) on Sukamaju batik artisans in Giriloyu village, Yogyakarta. This study employed a mixed method of the regression test and descriptive explanation. The research results show that unnatural work posture and muscle overstretch (weight factor) may cause musculoskeletal disorders on written batik artisans of the Sukamaju batik artisan community in Giriloyo village.

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the causes of non-exclusive breastfeeding by mothers in area of Pegandan Health Center. The research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were mothers who had babies aged 0-12 months and obtained as many as 12 informants. The data collection technique was done by in-depth interviews using interview guidelines. Abstract

Dental and oral disease will greatly affect the degree of health, the process of growth and development even the child's future. The success of maintaining dental and oral health is influenced by the method of brushing teeth, the frequency and time of proper brushing. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of movie media with puppet stories in elementary school students. This research design is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design consisting of a movie media intervention group, a puppet story intervention group and a control group. Each group sample was 56 students with a total population of 168 students. The sampling technique for the control group used purposive sampling while the intervention group used total sampling technique. Dental and oral hygiene education with puppet stories is more effective than movie media with a Mean Rank value of movie media 50.50, Mean Rank of puppet stories is 62.50 and a Significance value of 0.023 which means it is smaller than the level of significance ? <0.05. From this study it can be concluded that the average value of puppet stories is greater than the average value of movie media. So that this method can be a means of developing knowledge in the field of public health, especially about the promotion of dental and oral health in children         © 2020 Semarang State University

Abstract

Infertility is a serious problem in health and social issue. Exposure to noise is one of the causes of physical and psychological stress that can activate central and peripheral responses in the endocrine system and autonomic nerves as a form of adaptation, so as to reduce the normal percentage of spermatozoa morphology. This study aimed to determine the effect of noise in rice milling on spermatozoa morphology. This study was conducted with laboratory experimental research methods with post-test only control group design. The rats were divided into 2 groups randomly, namely the control group with noise exposure +60 dB (KK) and the treatment group that received noise exposure ± 90 dB (KP) in UD Berkah Tani Grinding Mill for 35 days. On the 36th day, the rats were terminated and spermatozoa were taken to giemsa staining, then observe under a microscope. The data normality were analyzed using Shapiro Wilk and homogeneity were tested using Levene test. The results showed that there were a significant in the spermatozoa morphology between the control and treatment group (p < 0.05). It was indicate that there was a difference of noise exposure for 35 days.
