Abstract

Instant life patterns and eating patterns and inappropriate exercise schedules are thought to be one of the causes of the increasing number of diabetes mellitus. Complications that can be caused by this disease are in the form of excessive susceptibility to infection, so that it develops into diabetic ulcers and can lead to amputations in these parts of the body. The purpose of this study is to design a tool used to treat diabetic ulcers. The contribution of this study is that the system can help remove fluid from the wound with controlled suction pressure so that it can facilitate the healing process faster. This Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) tool works based on negative pressure from the vacuum motor by utilizing MPXV4115VC6U and MPXV5050VC6T1 pressure sensors at a pressure limit of 0 to -350 mmHg. Using an Arduino microcontroller for data processing, it will then be displayed on the 2x16 LCD. The MPX4115VC6U sensor produces a pressure of -55.97 mmHg when setting -50 mmHg and the resulting output is 3.32 volts, while the MPXV5050VC6T1 sensor produces a pressure of 51.18 mmHg at a setting of 50 mmHg and the resulting output is 3.18 volts, from the above data it can be seen if the MPX5050VC6TI sensor has a smaller error given

Abstract

This paper presents a result of experiment on adding built-in blue light therapy on a purpose built infant warmer. Blue light therapy are often used in case of jaundice and usually a separated unit with added complexity. The blue light assembly was LED based that placed along the heater bar, placed on its aluminum strips and spaced to prevent being affected by the heater. Blue light LED specification was an SMD 5730 dimension with 465nm wavelength driven at 160mA at 12V for the three clusters of LED. Measured light output was around 618-716 lux and measured at the bed area with good uniformity for area under the heater bar at around 60-69 lux. There was another bottom blue LED source but the effect was negligible. The system uses a 10A maximum current source of 12V power supply exclusively for the LED arrangement and another 3A maximum current source of 5V power supply for supplying the rest of the control systems. The LED was controlled by a switch button and monitored for its activation by means of measuring the voltage difference with resistor circuits through the button switch. It works as intended.

Abstract

Respiratory distress in neonates is one of the biggest problems encountered on a daily basis. Respiratory distress looks like rapid breathing in a newborn. CPAP Bubble is the right treatment in this case. Rise time is the time for airway pressure to reach the maximum standard value. A fast time value can make it possible to bring the breath pressure to a standard level. This study aims to analyze changes in setting flow to rise time using a gasboard sensor 7500E on a CPAP bubble device. The main advantage of this proposed method is that the results are displayed in the form of graphics, portable and there is data storage. This design uses a Gasboard 7500E sensor as a detector of oxygen concentration, a TFT LCD as a graphic display and an SD Card as data storage. The data collection is in the form of the average rise time of oxygen concentration followed by changes in its rate. Data were taken five times with three different CPAPs. The results showed that the increase in the rate affect the rise time of the CPAP oxygen concentration.

Abstract

Research conducted by Muhaji, Bedjo Santoso, Putrono on the comparison of the effectiveness of two levels of suction pressure on oxygen saturation in endotracheal tube patients. The findings show that there is a significant effect of negative pressure on oxygen saturation. So that the use of the pressure value must be ensured that it is appropriate so as not to injure the patient. The accuracy and accuracy of the pressure value can be ensured by calibrating the suction pump with a calibrator, namely Digital Pressure Meter. From this case, a digital pressure meter module was created with an application. This tool serves to read the pressure value on the suction pump in real time. This tool was created with the aim of measuring negative pressure on a suction pump which is equipped with an application for inputting and storing measurement data based on the MIT App Inventor to make it easier for users to input tool identity and calibration results. To get results that are in accordance with the purpose of writing, using the study method to the library, the preparation stage, the design stage includes making software and hardware, then testing and measuring. Negative pressure measurement testing uses a Suction Pump as a measurement sample and uses 2 comparison tools, namely DPM4 and Manometer. Negative pressure testing was carried out 10 times at each measurement point, namely -10.6, -20, -30 kPa and -80, -150, -225 mmHg. After the measurements were taken, it was concluded that the module test compared to DPM4 obtained an accuracy of 99.09%, while the module test compared to the Manometer obtained an accuracy of 98.85%. Pressure measurement compared to DPM4 has 0.24% higher accuracy than pressure measurement developed with Manometer. This module is designed to be used for power calibration specifically for Suction Pump equipment. To make it easier to use the TFT nexion LCD.
