Abstract

Students' mathematical problem solving abilities are an important competency that students must master. One factor that influences mathematical problem solving abilities is students' interest in learning. This research was conducted to analyze mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of interest in learning mathematics in mathematics learning. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were all 28 students in class IX.1 of SMPN 1 Sengkang. The data collection techniques in this research were questionnaires about interest in learning, problem solving ability test questions and interviews. From the research results, it was found that students with a high interest in learning category had good problem solving abilities because they were able to fulfill three indicators of mathematical problem solving abilities, namely understanding the problem, planning a solution and implementing the solution plan. Students in the moderate learning interest category can complete problem solving questions by fulfilling two indicators of problem solving ability, namely understanding the problem and students being able to carry out a solution plan. Students in the low learning interest category can complete problem solving questions by only fulfilling one indicator of problem solving ability, namely carrying out plans.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah kemampuan membaca pemahaman murid kelas IV masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman dengan media pohon literasi pada murid kelas IV SD Negeri Ujung Tanah 2 Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Class Action Reaserch) yang terdiri dari dua siklus dimana setiap siklus dilaksanakan sebanyak empat kali pertemuan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah 1) kemampuan membaca pemahaman dan 2) Penggunaan pohon literasi di kelas IV SD Negeri Ujung Tanah 2 Kota Makassar. Prosedur penelitian meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah murid kelas IV yang berjumlah 18 orang murid, dengan rincian 10 orang laki-laki dan 8 orang perempuan. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu siklus I nilai rata-rata murid adalah 56,67 dan menjadi 83,33 pada siklus II.  Ketuntasan belajar membaca pemahaman murid kelas IV SD Negeri Ujung Tanah 2 Kota Makassar juga mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I, dari 4 (22,2%) murid mencapai ketuntasan belajar, sedangkan pada siklus II sebanyak 16 (88,9%) murid mencapai ketuntasan belajar dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal tercapai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut tersebut, dapat disimpulkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman murid kelas IV SD Negeri Ujung Tanah 2 Kota Makassar melalui penggunaan pohon literasi mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

Agus Mustofa is a controversial figure because his thoughts are considered deviant. Even so, he remains productive in writing and interpreting verses from the Al-Qur’an on his YouTube channel, which has hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Agus Mustofa’s academic background is nuclear engineering, not Qur’ānic exegesis. This study examines the sources, methods, validity, and implications of Agus Mustofa’s interpretations. It employs interpretive epistemological theory and mass communication theory to accomplish these objectives. Data is collected from a Agus Mustofa’s YouTube channel, Sufistic Islamic Studies. The results show that first, the sources used by Agus Mustofa are tafsir bil ma’tsur and tafsir bil ra’yi. Second, the method used is mauḍūʿī with a scientific approach. Third, the validity of the data obtained through coherence is inconsistent using interpretive sources, whereas correspondence and pragmatism are new in the world of interpretation. Fourth, Agus Mustofa’s interpretation provides positive cognitive, affective, and behavioral impacts on society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti kemampuan menulis teks ceramah dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada siswa kelas XI Gregor Mendel SMA 11 Pangkep. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan 2 siklus., setiap siklus terdiri dari: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Tindakan Kelas ini ini dilaksanakan di UPT SMA Negeri 11 Pangkep yang beralamat di Kelurahan Paddoang Doangan, Kec. Pangkajene, Kab. Pangkep, Prov. Sulawesi Selatan.. Subyek Penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI Gregor Mendel dengan jumlah seluruh siswa sebanyak 34 siswa. 23 siswa perempuan dan 11 siswa laki-laki. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 Agustus hingga 18 Oktober 2022. Teknik pengumpulan data dan alat pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian melalui Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengaplikasikan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, terjadi perubahan positif dan signifikan yaitu kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks ceramah.

Abstract

Menurut pengamatan SMAN 11 Pangkep, permasalahannya adalah para guru tidak menggunakan metode yang efektif, kemampuan berbicara siswa masih rendah, dan mereka menunjukkan sedikit semangat untuk berbicara. Pendekatan KWL sedang digunakan oleh para peneliti untuk mengajarkan keterampilan berbicara. Hal ini bertujuan sebagai strategi alternatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan siklus penelitian terdiri dari (1) perencanaan (2) tindakan (3) observasi (4) refleksi. Untuk mengumpulkan informasi, peneliti mengumpulkan berbagai data. Yang pertama datang dari pra-dan pasca-tes. Yang kedua ditemukan melalui survei. Kedua jenis data tersebut diperoleh untuk menghitung skor setelah melakukan penelitian. Peneliti melakukan analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode skor rata-rata dan rumus indikator keberhasilan untuk menentukan skor keterlibatan, keterampilan, dan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Pre-test, post-test, dan angket merupakan instrumen penelitian yang valid dan reliabel yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Untuk memperoleh hasil faktual tentang keterampilan berbicara melalui KWL, tes akhir dan angket diberikan selama siklus 1 dan 2. Temuan penelitian ini secara meyakinkan menunjukkan bahwa KWL dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Selain itu, terlihat dari analisis persentase kuesioner bahwa teknik KWL secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi berbicara siswa. According to SMAN 11 Pangkep's observations, the issue is that the teachers do not employ an effective method, the pupil's speaking abilities are still low, and they show little enthusiasm for speaking. The KWL approach is being used by researchers to teach speaking skills. It aims as an alternative strategy for raising students'' speaking. This research uses classroom action research (CAR) with the cycle of the research consisting of (1) planning (2) action (3) observation (4) reflection. To gather information, the researcher collected a variety of data. The first one came from pre-and post-test. The second one was discovered through the questionnaire. Both two types of data were acquired to calculate the scores after doing the study. The researcher conducted a descriptive and quantitative analysis utilizing the mean score method and success indicator formula to determine the student's involvement, skill, and speaking ability scores. To obtain factual results on speaking skills through KWL, the post-tests and the questionnaire were given throughout cycles 1 and 2. The findings of this study conclusively show that KWL can be used to improve students' speaking skills. In addition, it is evident from the percentage analysis of the questionnaire that the KWL technique significantly increases students’ motivation to speak.

Abstract

Research to find out how students' reading comprehension skills through the PQ4R learning method, how students' reading comprehension skills through the DRTA learning method, whether there are differences between the PQ4R method and the DRTA method in students' reading comprehension skills. Using a quantitative approach with quasy experimental design type nonequivalent multiple-group research. The population of this study was all grade V students of Elementary School cluster 1 Wolo District, Kolaka Regency which amounted to 304 students. The sample of this study used cluster random sampling technique based on population needs. Data analysis is done through descriptive statistical analysis. The prerequisite tests used are normality tests and homogeneity tests then hypothesis tests (Independent Sample T Test). The results showed that there were differences in the application of the PQ4R learning method and the DRTA learning method to students' reading comprehension skills. The score obtained from the independent sample t test is 0.001 which shows smaller than 0.05.   Keywords: DRTA, PQ4R, reading comprehension skills
