Abstract

Background: Prevention of Coronary Heart Disease by identifying risk factors facilitates the planning ofprevention interventions. The prevalence of non-communicable disease (NCD) increases with one of therisk factors for NCD being an unbalanced diet. Dawood’s fasting is one of the sunnah fastings that can bedone at any time except at times that are forbidden to fast. This fast is a combination model of TRF and ADF(modified ADF = MADF).Objective: To prove that MADF for six consecutive weeks can increase levels of the hormone ?-endorphinsand reduce levels of the hormone cortisol in peripheral blood circulation.Materials and Methods: Quasi-experimental research with a comparative design of a non-equivalentcontrol group with a population of PP students. Hidayatullah Surabaya with the purposive sampling methoduntil the number of samples required was met as many as 34 people and divided into two groups, namelycontrol and MADF treatment for six consecutive weeks. Sampling was carried out at the pre-test, at the endof the third week for the middle and at the post-test. All subjects in both groups received the same nutritiontwice a day for 42 days. The subject gets spiritual motivation from competent resource persons to givespiritual spark twice.Result: Dawood’s fasting (MADF) for six consecutive weeks did not cause significant differences comparedto control on cortisol and ?-endorphins (p> 0.05). However, Dawood’s fasting (MADF) for six consecutiveweeks decreased the mean values of cortisol levels due to the effect of fasting, although there was also asignificant difference in the control group. Meanwhile the ?-endorphins mean values was increased at themiddle of study, and then decreased at the end of the study, with a significant difference in the both groupbefore and after treatment. Conclusion: There was no difference in cortisol and ?-endorphins levels in healthy young adult subjectsundergoing Dawood’s fast due to the influence of the same environmental conditions and a change in thesincerity of the subjects.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the profile of qHBs Ag profile, and also to investigate the correlation betweenqHBs Ag and HBV DNA. Seventy samples of chronic-nai?ve hepatitis B patients in Dr. Soetomo Hospitalwere analyzed in a cross-sectional study. Patients were categorized according to the HBe Ag positive (n=30)and HBe Ag negative (n=18), also based on qHBs Ag 1000 IU/mL and qHBs Ag >1000 IU/mL. qHBs Agwas correlated with HBV DNA. qHBs Ag by CLEIA method from Sysmex, KOBE HISCL, HBV DNAwas measured by real-time Polymerase Chain method from Gene Xpert, Cepheid. 70 patients nai?ve CHBtreatment showed a median of ALT level 60.21±70.76 U/L. 30 patients showed a positive-HBeAg, 18 patientsshowed negative-HBeAg, 22 patients were not evaluated (N/A). Positive-HBeAg patients had 70% qHBsAg>2500 mg/dL and median HBV DNA 7.49×107IU/mL. Negative-HBeAg patients had 55.6% HBsAg ?1000mg/dL and median HBV DNA 9.66×102 IU/mL. qHBsAg correlated with HBV DNA (p <0.001). This datademonstrated that quantitative HBsAg was associated with a phase of HBV-infection, quantitative HBsAgshowed a moderate correlation with DNA HBV, quantitative HBsAg levels might be a predictor of initiationtherapy for CHB patients.

Abstract

Culture or bacterial culture is the gold standard for diagnostic examination to detect the presence ofmicroorganisms in the patient’s body. The development of culture technology and culture-based automaticdevices for diagnostic examination are widely researched. At present, there are several types of automaticblood culture instruments in Indonesia, namely Vitek 2 and Microscan Walkaway. This research aims toanalyze the suitability of bacterial identification and test antibiotic sensitivity of Microscan Walkaway devicefrom Beckman Coulter and Vitek 2 device from Biomerieux as a gold standard. The research conductedwas an observational cross-sectional study. Sampling was done consecutively. The study sample consistedof 202 samples obtained from the results of positive isolates, during January-July 2019 at Dr. Soetomohospital. Positive isolates were examined for bacterial identification and antibiotic sensitivity using Vitek2 and Microscan Walkaway. The results were statistically analyzed using SPSS. Examination of bacterialidentification using the Microscan device showed 34.2% of Gram-positive bacteria and 65.8% of Gramnegative bacteria, whereas with Vitek 2, results showed 34.7% of Gram-positive bacteria and 65.3% ofGram-negative bacteria. Both of these instruments showed identification accuracy of 98.56% for Grampositive bacteria and 100% for Gram negative bacteria with Kappa value: 0.814 and p <0.0001. The resultsof the accuracy test for antibiotic sensitivity of multidrug resistance bacteria showed compatibility with pvalue <0,0001. There is very good agreement between Vitek 2 and Microscan Walkaway in the identificationof bacteria and antibiotic sensitivity.

Abstract

Burn is an injury to the skin or other tissue. Mostly, it caused by contacting with hot liquids, solids, and flames. The important thing that should be consider in burn incident is the severity of burn and it based on the depth and area of the burn injury. The severity of burns will cause differences of pathophysiological responses. This was a literature review study. Various articles were collected from online database including reports, journals, and published in the last 10 years. The articles were from the scholar journals. The systemic inflammatory response in severe level of burns was not given good response to disappear of lesion burn and initiating tissue repair. Moreover, it was given an organ failure to the patient. The body responded to this incident by releasing antiinflammatory mediators. This response is very strong and prolonged, so it caused immunosuppression and increase the risk of secondary infection to the patients. Burns affects the patient’s immune system. The ratio between pro and antiinflammatory mediators are determining the patient’s subsequent status.

Abstract Children's world is often associated with the world of play, play is part of their lives. The form of game approach that can be used to improve children's basic movement skills includes individual and team game approaches. Play is a good vehicle for children to channel the tension caused by the environment towards children's activities. Through play children are accustomed to the rules that are more agreed upon in play, such as prohibitions that must be obeyed, sportsmanship discipline, cooperation, respect for other friends, honesty and others, indirectly these conditions shape the child's personality. Basic movement games can be done by students in their daily lives, both at school and at home. But along with the times at this time children prefer to play gadgets rather than playing outside with their friends. So this service will provide a reference game for children to divert children from playing gadgets.
