Abstract

This research based on the quality of mid-semester test questions in Sundanese language subject which is proposed by the teacher is still not meeting the criteria of validity , reliability, and questions properness,. This research aims to describe the validity level, content validity, and empirical validity (difficulty level and differentiator power), reliability, and questions appropriateness level  of Sundanese language subject in SMPN 2 Leuwisadeng Bogor. This research uses descriptive method, specifically, descriptive and inferential statistics. This methods used descriptive method of quantitative approach.The data for this research are Sunadanese subject mid-term questions and the answer sheets of the first and second semester student year 2018/2019. Furthermore, this research uses documentation study as the technique of the research. Based on the 11 analyzed aspects, the result shows that mid-semester test question content validity of 110 questions that 44 questions are valid, 21 questions are obliged to be revised, and 45 questions should be changed. Empirical Validity based on difficulty level shows that 62 questions are proper, 40 questions should be revised and 8 questions should be changed. Based on the differentiator power shows that 49 questions are proper, 31 questions should be revised, and 30 questions should be substituted. Based on the reliability level, 50% is in good category, 30% is in middle category, and 20% is in the bad category. Therefore, based on validity, either contect valididty or empirical validity (questions’difficulty level and differentiator poer), as well as reliability level, there are 35 proper questions (32%), 50 questions should be revised (45%), and 25 questions should be changed (23%). The conclusion is mid-semester test questions of Sundanese subject in SMPN 2 Leuwisadeng Bogor has’good’ standard of questionsappropriateness. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kualitas soal penilaian tengah semester mata pelajaran bahasa Sunda yang dibuat oleh guru masih belum memenuhi kriteria tingkat validitas, reliabilitas, dan kelayakan soal penilaian tengah semester. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas, baik validitas isi maupun validitas empiris (tingkat kesukaran dan daya pembeda), tingkat relibilitas, dan tingkat kelayakan soal-soal penilaian tengah semester basa Sunda di SMPN 2 Leuwisadeng Bogor. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deksriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif.  Sumber data dalam penelitian ini didapat dari pengumpulan soal-soal penilaian tengah semester bahasa Sunda dan lembar jawaban siswa semester 1 dan semester 2 taun ajar 2018/2019. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian 11 aspek yang telah dianalisis ini yaitu validitas isi soal penilaian tengah semester dari 110 soal yaitu 44 soal valid, 21 soal harus direvisi, dan 45 soal harus diganti. Validitas empiris, berdasarkan kesukaran soal ada 62 soal yang layak, 40 soal direvisi, dan 8 soal harus diganti. Berdasarkan tingkat daya pembeda ada 49 soal layak, 31 soal direvisi, dan 30 soal harus diganti. Berdasarkan tingkat reliabilitas soal Penilaian Tengah Semester ada 50% kategori tinggi, 30% kategori sedang, dan 20% kategori rendah. Oleh sebab itu, berdasarkan validitas,  baik validitas isi maupun validitas empiris (tingkat kesukaran soal dan daya pembeda soal), serta tingkat reliabilitas terdapat kelayakan soal yaitu ada 35 soal yang layak (32%), 50 soal harus direvisi (45%),  dan 25 soal harus diganti (23%). Jadi, soal-soal penilaian tengah semester bahasa Sunda di SMPN 2 Leuwisadeng Bogor mempunyai tingkat kelayakan soal yang “cukup”.

Abstract

Kasus pelanggaran etika dan tata krama yang kerap muncul di media sosial menimbulkan kehawatiran berbagai kalangan terhadap degradasi moral para generasi muda. Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pembinaan kepada generasi muda untuk senantiasa menggunakan etika dan tatakrama bahasa Sunda yang baik dan benar dalam bermedia sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini didasarkan pada hasil penelitian Model 3W (Wiwaha, Wiraga, Wibawa) sebagai alternatif solusi mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan empat langkah kegiatan yakni perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refkelsi. Subjek dalam pengabdian ini adalah pengurus dan anggota komunitas Mojang-Jajaka (Moka) Kota Tasikmalaya. Para peserta dibimbing untuk memahami dan menguasai konsep etika dan tatakrama bahasa Sunda yang baik dan benar (wiwaha), terampil menerapkannya dalam media sosial (wiraga), serta mampu menjadi figur atau teladan bagi masyarakat luas (wibawa). Kegiatan pembinaan ini diharapkan mampu membekali para peserta agar lebih bijak menggunakan media sosial yang didasarkan pada penerapan etika dan tata krama Sunda dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

The film is a product of a popular culture that represents and constructs the life of a society. This mimetic view implies the position of the film as a recording or reflection of social reality. Ziarah (2017) is a drama genre film that tells the story of Mbah Sri, a 95-year-old woman looking for her husband because he doesn't come home and she doesn't hear from him after saying goodbye to the Military Aggression II war in 1948. This film is wholly based on the plot of Mbah Sri's story as heir to the memory of the historical events experienced by her husband. This tendency represents Mbah Sri's view of Javanese philosophy and the value of character education that he believes in. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive type through Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic analysis technique. The results of the study are presented as follows. First, the film Ziarah (2017) articulates the philosophy of sangkan paran ning dumadi (where he came from and where to return) as a belief in the temporary position of humans on earth through the projection of Mbah Sri's journey while looking for her late husband. Second, the film Ziarah (2017) emphasizes the event of Military Aggression II in 1948 as a social-collective memory so that the values ​​of nationalism and patriotism are also contained. Third, character education reflected in the film Ziarah (2017) is dominated by the process of imitating the character of national leaders, historical figures, and the culture of an area.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya beberapa tradisi Sunda yang yang berkaitan dengan pencegahan penyakit (wabah), salah satunya tradisi baritan di Desa Sukadana, Kecamatan Compreng, Kabupaten Subang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan guna dan tujuan diadakannya tradisi tersebut, susunan acara yang dolaksanakan dalam tradisi baritan, tradisi baritan dalam menghadapi pandemi COVID-19, nilai-nilai yang terkadung pada tradisi baritan serta kaitan tradisi baritan untuk bahan ajar membaca artikel di SMA kelas XII. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa maksud dan tujuan tradisi baritan adalah untuk menangkal musibah yang bisa menimpa para petani, susunan acara tradisi baritan yaitu pra tradisi baritan, prosesi baritan dan pasca tradisi baritan. Tradisi baritan dalam menghadapi pandemi COVID-19 berjalan seperti biasa pada waktu yang telah ditentukan yaitu menjelang musim panen. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tradisi baritan di antaranya yaitu nilai religi, nilai sosial, nilai kesederhanaan, dan nilai kebudayaan. Penelitian mengenai tradisi baritan bisa dijadikan bahan pembelajaran membaca artikel di SMA kelas XII, karena mempunyai nilai-nilai penting dalam kehidupan dan sesuai dengan kriteria bahan ajar.

Abstract

Nowadays, many people are attracted to almost extinct traditions, such as Ngaras and Siraman, in Sundanese weddings. Prominent figures, celebrities, actresses/actors, and ordinary people have re-implemented these traditions, but only a few know the content and local wisdom of the practices. This study aimed to examine Ngaras and Siraman and explore the local wisdom values of the traditions used to build students' character through education. The research method used was descriptive-qualitative analysis. Data were collected through literature and documentation review. The analysis revealed that Ngaras and Siraman are rituals done before akad nikah (marriage covenant). There are values of Sundanese local wisdom presented by the traditions when viewed from the practice, meaning, and function. First, the values are Trisilas(Three Bases), Catur Jati Diri Insani (Superior Human), and Gapura Pancawaluya (the Gate of Five Pillars of Completeness). Second, these values serve as good moral practices related to someone's relationships with God, himself, other human beings, nature, and time. Third, such values form moral functions to pursue further implementation of ethno-pedagogy in school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud, makna, dan fungsi kearifan lokal dalam film Ambu (2019). Film tersebut merupakan film pertama di Indonesia yang berhasil membuat film tentang suku Baduy. Kanekes atau Baduy dikenal sebagai suku yang masih mempertahankan budaya Sunda dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis Hermeneutika Ricoeur. Unit analisis yang dikaji adalah aspek verbal maupun visual film. Terdapat empat hasil penelitian yang didasarkan atas tipologi kearifan lokal sebagai berikut. Pertama, dimensi pengetahuan lokal diwujudkan melalui upacara penyucian. Kedua, dimensi keterampilan lokal meliputi aktivitas menumbuk maupun memasok olahan pangan (leuit-leuit). Ketiga, dimensi sumber daya lokal diperlihatkan dengan kedudukan wewengkon atau aspek ekosentrisme maupun biosentrisme daerah Baduy. Keempat, dimensi solidaritas dan kepemimpinan kultural diproyeksikan melalui kepemimpinan ketua adat dan gotong-rotong masyarakat. Kelima, dimensi tatakrama terdiri atas wilayah personal dan sosial yang direpresentasikan oleh 5W (wiwaha, wibawa, wirasa, wirahma, dan wiraga) yang dalam konteks pendidikan karakter relevan dengan konsep moral knowing, moral feeling, dan moral action. Kata kunci: kearifan lokal, sunda, film ambu, lokalitas, pendidikan karakter AbstractThis study aims to describe the form, meaning, and function of local wisdom in the film Ambu (2019). This film is the first cinema in Indonesia which has made a film about the Baduy tribe. Kanekes or Baduy are a tribe that still maintains a Sundanese culture in their daily lives. This study uses a qualitative method with Ricoeur's Hermeneutic analysis approach. The unit of analysis studied is the verbal and visual aspects of the film. There are four research results based on the typology of local wisdom as follows. First, the dimension of local knowledge is realized through a purification ceremony. Second, local skills include the process and supplying processed food (leuit-leuit). Third, the dimension of local resources is shown by the position of wewengkon or the ecocentrism and biocentrism aspects of the Baduy area. Fourth, the dimensions of solidarity and cultural leadership are projected through the administration of traditional leaders and community mutual assistance. Fifth, the dimensions of etiquette consist of personal and social areas represented by 5W (wiwaha, wibawa, wirasa, wirahma, and wiraga), which in the context of character education are relevant to the concepts of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. Keywords: Local Wisdom, Sundanese, Ambu Film, Locality, Character Education

Abstract

Our initial observation confirms that authentic teaching materials have not been integrated into teaching Sundanese. With this in mind, the present study aims mainly to describe authentic teaching materials for teaching Sundanese to elementary school students. A descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach has been employed as the method in the present research. Data were collected by inventorying authentic teaching materials from YouTube and identifying their relevance to the 2013 Curriculum (Revised edition in 2017). The data obtained is expected to be used as authentic material in the Independent Curriculum. At the time this research was conducted, the Merdeka Curriculum had already begun to be implemented in several driving schools in West Java. The authentic materials we investigated will most likely be compatible to be used as material for project-based learning on Kurikulum Merdeka. The present research has inventoried 17 types of pupuh and found that of 17 pupuh, four have content that is relevant to the teaching theme for elementary school students based on the Curriculum; 3 pupuh, Dangdanggula, Asmarandana, and Gurisa, have content relevant to the theme of second grade Basic Competence, 1 pupuh, Maskumambang pupuh, has content relevant to the theme of third grade Basic Competence. The data were then assessed for their quality based on the criteria for good teaching materials according to the judgment of experts. Selected Sundanese language teachers have been involved in the research to serve as the experts. The results of the quality test reported that the inventoried pupuh is relevant to the Basic Competence as stated in the Curriculum, can motivate students to learn, is practical to use, is useful for students, is interesting to learn, facilitate students to learn, and improves their listening skills and is following the norms prevailing in society.
