Abstract

This study aims to determine the magnitude of the influence of Career-Based Information Services on the Career Maturity of Class XII Students of Harapan Mekar High School. The sample in this study were 35 students of class XII IPA and Social Studies. This type of research is quantitative research, namely finding scientific evidence or testing based on theories and hypotheses. While its nature is the impact of the research, namely looking for influence between one variable and another. The instrument used is a questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale model. The results of the student career maturity instrument reliability test were 0.827. Research data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed rank Test formula. The research findings show that by analyzing the experimental results obtained from the output display of the SPSS model summary 26.00 it shows that the results of the hypothesis testing through Wilcoxon analysis obtained r_count = 0.827 and r_table = 0.3494 so that the results obtained are r_count > r_table (0.827 > 0.3494) with a coefficient correlation 0.3494 which indicates a significant positive effect. Thus, it can be concluded that the effect of career-based information services on the career maturity of class XII students of Harapan Mekar High School for the 2021/2022 Academic Year

Abstract

Smoking dependence behavior in adolescents can occur due to a lack of knowledge of adolescents about the dangers of smoking. The desire to smoke also often arises due to uncomfortable situations such as loneliness, confusion, cold, boredom, anger and stress. The research objective was to determine the effect of individual counseling with a cognitive behavior approach in reducing smoking behavior in students of SMP Negeri 6 Medan. Sampling technique with purposive sampling technique. To obtain definite and relatively fast data in collecting data or information, the researcher uses an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the above data regarding the effect of individual counseling with a cognitive behavior approach in reducing smoking behavior as many as 20 people as respondents with a total of 50 items after being tested for validity and reliability, there are 46 valid items. So that from the data analysis it has been proven that there is a significant relationship between students of SMP Negeri 6 Medan. This is indicated by the correlation obtained from the output display of the SPSS model summary showing the product moment (pearson) correlation of 0.953 with a mean value before 147.3750 and after service of 146.2500. This means that there is a significant reduction in student smoking behavior through the application of individual counseling services

Abstract

This study aims to understand how guidance and counseling can develop students' cognitive potential. This study uses the literature review method, which refers to the opinions of experts and the results of previous studies. Guidance and counseling in schools does not only aim to overcome student difficulties, but also assist school leaders, teachers and parents in understanding students in more depth. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The sampling techniques that are often used are purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The sample in this study consisted of counseling teachers and students at SMP 16 Muhammadiyah. Thus, guidance and counseling can be carried out in a more systematic and quality manner, and have the functions of understanding, prevention, alleviation, maintenance and development. The functions of guidance and counseling teachers include: 1) Providing assistance to students to optimally develop their potential, 2) Providing guidance and counseling support services and activities that focus on understanding, prevention, alleviation, maintenance, and self-development of students, 3) Providing assistance to related parties, such as parents, educators, or other interested parties, in accordance with the development and life of students, and 4) Functioning in planning, for example assisting students in making difficult choices regarding continuing education or the right career

Abstract

Misconceptions are incorrect explanations and ideas that are inconsistent with scientific understanding accepted by experts. Misconceptions often occur because the concepts learned and accepted by students are different. The purpose of this study was to find out how the misconceptions about guidance and counseling services at SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam and SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analysis with frequency distribution techniques. Articles in this literature review use research articles that contain observations, in which there are abstractions, introductions, discussions and conclusions. The results of this study explain that misconceptions about guidance and counseling services at SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam still occur because the teacher who serves as a counseling teacher is not a counseling teacher, but a graduate of Sociology who is given the responsibility to solve student problems. Counseling services and program implementation have started well because the counseling teachers are able to carry out their duties in carrying out counseling services in accordance with the operational guidelines for the implementation of guidance and counseling for junior high schools (SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam)

Abstract

Vocational High School is a form of upper secondary education which aims to produce workers who are ready to work in the industrial sector. This can be seen from the fact that Vocational High School graduates are prepared with skills and experience through implementing Field Work Practices (PKL) during class XI or XII. It is hoped that these skills and experiences will become capital for graduates when entering the world of work after graduating. However, it was found that many vocational school graduates face difficulties in determining their career direction and goals. Therefore, community service activities are carried out to provide guidance to class XI and class XII students at SMKN 1 Pancur Batu so that they are ready to continue their careers after graduating. One of the efforts made is to provide an understanding of the importance of continuing education to tertiary level. The results of this service activity show that participants have begun to realize how important higher education is in supporting their career preparation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi apa yang menyebabkan murid tidak disiplin dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kedisiplinan siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran pada beberapa murid kelas 12 di sekolah SMA Asuhan Daya. Penelitian ini diteliti dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian beberapa murid kelas 12, Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan instrumen pengamatan atau observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapat dari observasi ini adalah hasil wawancara, catatan lapangan. dokumentasi sebagai data pendukung.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan beberapa siswa kelas 12 tersebut rendah disiplin yaitu: a) Internal: siswa sendiri masih belum paham tentang makna disiplin, b) Eksternal: orangtua yang tidak perduli, pola asuh orangtua yang terlalu berlebihan dalam memperhatikan maupun menasehati anak, metode pembelajaran dari guru yang kurang bervariatif serta pengaruh teman yang tidak baik.

Abstract

This research method qualitative descriptive research. Subject and object in this research are the principal, headmaster, teacher guidance and counseling and student. Instrumen used in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that (1) the cause learners to behave aggressive is largely because the character of the students was loud and tend to assumes that the behavior, they are doing is a fairness and because the lack of supervision, attention and affection from parents so that children tend to feel able to do any desired and (2) the role of the teacher guidance and counseling in reducing aggressive behavior students is good enough to provide individual counseling

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the topic of self-efficacy as seen and assessed from the perspective of Malay cultural habits in the city of Medan. Self-sufficiency in life is a skill that is really needed by a person in order to be able to introduce himself well to many people. Behaviors included in personal skills are self-understanding or self-awareness and thinking skills. This is defined as a condition which is a skill that a person must have to have the courage to face life's problems and life naturally without feeling pressured, then proactively and creatively seek and find solutions so that they are able to overcome them. Even though knowing yourself is more of an attitude, it requires skills to realize it in daily behavior. Knowing oneself will encourage a person to worship according to his religion, be honest, work hard, be disciplined, be trustworthy, be tolerant of others, like to help and care for the environment. This article uses the literature method by collecting articles that explain the progress of the topic of human self-efficacy from various theories from various research according to field conditions.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide information related to the topic of development in children which includes physical and mental aspects. One aspect of mental development in children is language development. From an early age, children's language skills must be trained and honed properly because when used as a tool, it is basically an expression of thoughts and feelings that are carried out well, because with language people can know their needs well. Children learn language like they learn other things, namely by imitating and repeating the words used by adults. The research technique used in writing this article is literature study, namely by researching and understanding books, documents or other written sources that are relevant and support the study of language development which is supported by clarification of survey results and random field observations in Medan City. Language development in early childhood must be stimulated from an early age because the role of language is very important for human life in interacting with each other. Factors that influence language development: 1) Health, 2) Intelligence, 3) Social status, 4) Gender, 5) Family relationships.
