Abstract

Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) di SLB Anugerah, Colomadu, Karanganyar Jawa Tengah memiliki personal hygiene yang kurang berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan pada 21 ABK di SLB Anugerah, Colomadu. Dari hasil wawancara dengan guru, belum pernah ada pendidikan kesehatan tentang personal hygiene dan belum pernah ada pemeriksaan kecacingan pada ABK di SLB Anugerah, Colomadu, Karanganyar. Oleh karena itu perlu upaya memperbaikinya. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah melaksanakan salah satu komponen Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yaitu pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Selain itu pengabdian ini juga bermanfaat untuk mencegah gangguan kesehatan umum siswa ABK di SLB Anugerah, Colomadu, Kabupaten Karanganyar. Metode pengabdian yaitu dengan pemeriksaan kesehatan mata, telinga, hidung, kulit, pengambilan sampel anal swab, memberi pemahaman dan contoh kepada tiap siswa setelah diperiksa tentang pemeliharaan kebersihan diri yang benar. Sasaran yang diperiksa berjumlah 21 orang. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan 21 siswa memiliki hasil negatif pada pemeriksaan kecacingan, 13 siswa (61,9%) memiliki serumen di telinga, 2 siswa (9,5%) tampak adanya hiperemis dan oedem pada hidung. Sementara untuk pemeriksaan lain sudah dalam kondisi baik. Hasil yang negatif pada pemeriksaan kecacingan, masih perlu dilanjutkan dengan pemeriksan sampel feses untuk mendeteksi jenis cacing lain yang tidak bisa dideteksi dengan anal swab dan juga ditambah dengan pengambilan sampel kuku karena pada sampel kuku bisa ditemukan adanya telur cacing.

Abstract

Aldercy Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is a kindergarten located in Kadipiro, Banjarsari, Surakarta City, Central Java. During the pandemic, students must be able to implement health protocols and maintain dental and oral health by brushing their teeth properly. PAUD teachers can become cadres for their students to provide education and training on those issues. The purpose of this activity is to carry out one of the components of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely community service. The benefits of this activity are forming cadres, namely Aldercy PAUD teachers, so they can provide education about health protocols during a pandemic and dental and oral health for students at Aldercy PAUD. The method of service is lectures and training on health protocols during a pandemic and dental and oral health. The target audience was 12 Aldercy PAUD teachers. The results showed that this activities ran smoothly and participants were enthusiastic. Aldercy The participants were also trained to become dental and oral health cadres. The participants are expected to provide education regarding oral health protocols to their students, as well as maintain the program by supervising and fostering health protocols during the pandemic and maintaining oral and dental health.

Abstract

Introduction: Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) is a herb plant that is widely consumed by society. Its flower contains some compounds that have antibacterial activity. Those compounds are flavonoid, phenol, tannin, and saponin. One of the main problems of the oral healthiness is gingivitis. In oral cavity of the gingivitis patients, there is an escalation of the number of bacterial colonies. Whereas using mouthwash is one of the ways to maintain the health of oral cavity. This study aimed to determine the influence of rinsing with roselle flower boiled water to the number of bacterial colonies in oral cavity. Methods: This research was an experimental analytic study with the pre test and post test controlled group design. There were 20 subjects that meet the criterias, they were divided randomly into 2 groups, each group consisting 10 subjects. Firstly, each group was once rinse with 15 ml distilled water for 30 seconds then the rinsing results were put inside the sterile pots. After that, group I was once rinse with 15 ml distilled water for 30 seconds, whereas the group II was rinse with 15 ml roselle flower boiled water for 30 seconds. The level of roselle in this research is 1,5 grams in 15 ml water. The rinsing results were carried to Microbiology Laboratory to put onto the nutrient agar then were incubated for 24 hours in 37C. The differences between the first rinse and the second rinse were calculated. The data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 for Windows. Results: The results were tested with linear regression test. It showed that roselle has the influence to inhibits the growth of bacterial colonies in the amount of 88%, whereas the 12% is influenced by other factors (e.g. degrees of acidity, the ability of the subjects in rinsing to reach the bacterias). Conclusions: It can be concluded that there is influence rinsing with roselle flower boiled water to the number of bacterial colonies in oral cavity. Abstract

Aisyiyah Joyosuran Kindergarten is one of the kindergartens located on Jl. Cikarang No.22, Gabudan RT 01 RW 08 Joyosuran, Pasar Kliwon District, Surakarta City, Central Java. Children can grow up to be healthy and smart through the process of growth and development. Nutrition has the most important effect on growth. Based on Riskesdas data (2018), the proportion of daily tooth brushing behavior of people aged three years and over is 94.7%, but the proportion who brush their teeth properly is only 2.8%. This is a problem because one of the effective prevention methods against the occurrence of dental and oral disease is through the act of brushing teeth. The purpose of this service is to carry out the Community Service component of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The benefit of this service is to increase knowledge education about nutrition and dental & oral health for parents of Aisyiyah Joyosuran Kindergarten students, Surakarta. The service method is lectures and training on knowledge about nutrition and dental & oral health. The target audience was 84 parents of Aisyiah Joyosuran Kindergarten students. The results of the service show that the activities run smoothly. Participants are expected to be able to provide education about good nutrition and dental & oral health to their children while providing nutrition according to the RDA according to the Ministry of Health and maintenance of dental and oral health.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Tingkah laku anak jalanan mencakup aktivitas yang berisiko Penyakit Menular Seksual. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh jenis kelamin, pajanan media, peran teman sebaya, pengetahuan Penyakit Menular Seksual, kedekatan keluarga terhadap perilaku berisiko Penyakit Menular Seksual pada anak jalanan.Subjek dan Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan desain penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan analitik cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di terminal Tidar Kota Magelang. Jumlah sampel sebesar 60 anak jalanan yang diambil dengan metode purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda.Hasil Penelitian : Ada pengaruh yang secara statistik signifikan dari jenis kelamin (b = 1.87 ; CI 95 % 0.97 hingga 2.78 ; p = 0.001), pajanan media (b = 0.44; CI 95 % 0.24 hingga 0.64; p = 0.001), peran teman sebaya (b = 0.10; CI 95 % 0.01 hingga 0.19 ; p = 0.036), pengetahuan Penyakit Menular Seksual (b = -0.17 ; CI 95 % -0.29 hingga -0.05 ; p = 0.007), kedekatan keluarga (b = -0.29; CI 95 % -0.42 hingga -0.16 ; p = 0.001) terhadap perilaku berisiko Penyakit Menular Seksual.Kesimpulan : Ada pengaruh yang bermakna antara jenis kelamin, pajanan media, peran teman sebaya, pengetahuan Penyakit Menular Seksual, kedekatan keluarga terhadap perilaku berisiko Penyakit Menular Seksual pada anak jalanan.

Abstract

The elderly population in Indonesia is currently experiencing a significant increase, this shows that public awareness of health in general is getting better. However, with the increase in the elderly population, various problems will arise that affect aspects of the life of the elderly. One of the efforts made by the government in overcoming various problems in the elderly is to hold the Elderly Posyandu program. Dental and oral health in the elderly is one that needs special attention because it will affect general health. Good knowledge of oral hygiene is very important, so that it can prevent dental and oral diseases. To improve the quality of services primarily in the field of dental and oral health, this activity is specifically for the elderly. This service aims to improve the health of the elderly through posyandu cadres so that it will improve the quality of life and welfare for the elderly. The elderly Posyandu which is the target of dedication in this study is the elderly Posyandu which is located in the working area of the Gondangrejo District Health Center. There are 93 posyandu with 245 cadres spread throughout the sub-district. The method of dedication used is lectures and questions and answers, demonstrations, and simulations. The results of this service are expected to be useful for increasing Posyandu cadre resources which have an impact on improving the quality of elderly Posyandu services in the working area of the Gondangrejo Health Center, so that it will improve the health status of the elderly.

Abstract

Sumunar Elderly Posyandu is in Sumber, Surakarta. Elderly (elderly) is someone who has entered the final stages of life. The elderly will experience biological decline which can be seen as symptoms of physical decline as well as physiological changes and changes in the digestive tract. This change will have an impact on all aspects of life, including health. Therefore, knowledge and behavior about healthy lifestyles is very important for elderly people with all the limitations or health problems they have. The aim of this service is to carry out the Community Service component of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The benefit of this service is increasing knowledge about healthy lifestyles in the elderly. Implementing a healthy lifestyle according to the type of disease in elderly people who suffer from disease disorders will really help control their disease, so that in the end they can improve their quality of life. The service methods used are lectures, demonstrations and health checks as well as dental and oral examinations. The target audience was 60 elderly people at the Sumunar Elderly Posyandu. The results of the service showed that the activity ran smoothly and participants were enthusiastic about participating in the activity. Participants are expected to be able to implement a healthy lifestyle in their daily lives, by consuming healthy food, exercising regularly and getting enough rest.
