Abstract

Female indirect commercial sex workers who usually work in certain fields of work or have other main jobs and indirectly sell sex in entertainment places such as masseuses, bar waiters. They are included in the high risk group in the spread of cases of Sexual Transmitted Infections and HIV and AIDS. In Indonesia, it is hoped that HIV AIDS will be free from Sexual Transmitted Infection by 2030 with the vision and mission “No more HIV transmission, no AIDS deaths, no more stigma and discrimination in people with HIV / AIDS”. This type of research uses quantitative descriptive research. with a sample of 80 female sex workers in Bandungan, Semarang. The results of this study indicate a significant relationship between customer support, access to health services, health promotion and control of sexually transmitted infections.

Abstract

The museum functions as a management of cultural heritage which actually has the same ideology as cultural tourism, namely providing information and services to the public. The museum not only collects material culture and daily social history but also includes collecting human behavior. The museum also functions as an educational tourism choice that has not been done much by the community. The purpose of this study was to find out more about the strategy of developing the Dayu museum as an educational tourism object. This research uses Structural Fungtionalism theory from Talcott Parsons, the method of data collection is done by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. Data validity was done by triangulation techniques, namely data triangulation, source triangulation, methodological triangulation, researcher triangulation, and theory triangulation. The results of the study show that officers from both the museum and the tourism service provide education especially to the surrounding community. Regional mapping is done to find out the potential of the village wilaya. Potential will be developed in a sustainable manner to increase income and advance rural areas. With the establishment of the Dayu museum on an international scale, the tour becomes a world heritage. The perceived impact of the formation of tourism internationally, it will increase the independence of the surrounding community. The use of information media as a means of marketing products is done both traditionally and modernly. Traditionally by texting, officers came to various schools to conduct socialization. Whereas in a modern way it is done by making museum videos conducted by the Karanganyar Regency government.

Abstract

Gay is a minority group the existence of which is still unacceptable to the society. It puts the gay into a group vulnerable to violence risk. The objective of research is to study the risk and the reflexivity of violence in gay community in Surakarta. This qualitative with case study approach took place in Surakarta. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling one. The informant of research consisted of chairperson and administrators of Surakarta Gaya Mahardhika Foundation, gays becoming the victim of violence, community fellow members, and administrators of Mitra Alam Surakarta NGO. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. To validate data, source triangulation was used. Technique of analyzing data used was Miles and Huberman’s interactive model of analysis with Ulrich Beck’s Risk Society theory.     The result of research showed that violence risk encountered by gay in Surakarta included physical violence such as being thrown with sharp weapon, being struck and slapped; physical/emotional violence such as cynical and disliking view, expulsion, threat and negative stigma intended to gay organization; sexual violence such as sexual abuse conducted by police officer by touching the victim’s body organ; economic violence such as money and product expropriation by sexual partner; and verbal violence such as being insulted and mocked by some people on the street. The effect of violence consisted of physical effect such as bruise, gash, and pain still felt until today, and physical effect such as fear, trauma, discomfort and fidget, disappointment, resentfulness, anger, pique, and regret. The reflectivity of gay in dealing with violence included interacting or looking for acquaintance or partner more alertly and selectively; adapting, comporting; building intimacy an self-image by conducting positive activities within society; conducting homosexual activity more carefully such as fulfilling their sexual need in their known place rather than doing it in opened space that has been known by mass organization; and providing advocacy to the gay becoming the victim of violence.

Abstract

virus diseases (covid-19) yang memberikan dampak terhadap seluruh aspek kehidupan baik sosial, ekonomi, budaya, dan masih banyak lagi. Salah satu aspek ekonomi yang terkena dampak pandemi covid-19 adalah pasar. Pasar  Gede  Hardjonagoro  adalah  pasar  terbesar  di  Kota  Surakarta  yang  tidak hanya memiliki fungsi sebagai sarana berlangsungnya aktivitas jual beli,  tetapi  juga  menjadi  salah  satu  destinasi  wisata  Kota  Surakarta. Untuk mencegah penyebaran covid-19 melalui pasar, maka dibentuklah kebijakan social distancing atau jaga jarak sosial di Pasar Gedhe. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui penerapan kebijakan social distancing di Pasar Gedhe dan (2) mengetahui dampak social distancing terhadap interaksi sosial masyarakat yang meliputi superordinasi dan subordinasi, pertukaran, dan konflik di Pasar Gede selama pandemi covid-19. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling. Sumber data berasal dari Kepala Dinas Pasar Gedhe, penjual dan pembeli di Pasar Gedhe dengan total 6 informan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Pasar Gedhe dalam menerapkan kebijakan social distancing melakukan beberapa hal yaitu penutupan Pasar Gedhe selama sepekan, pengurangan jam operasional, membentuk petugas covid-19, memberikan sanksi bagi pelanggar, dan juga memberikan bantuan kepada penjual dan pembeli di pasar. (2) Dampak yang terjadi di Pasar Gedhe yaitu (a) superordinasi dan subordinasi meliputi Pasar Gedhe menjadi sepi pengunjung, pembeli menjadi tidak leluasa dalam bertransaksi, dan penjual mengalami penurunan pendapatan 50% lebih; (b) Pertukaran yaitu terjadinya perubahan metode dalam melakukan transaksi jual beli; (c) Konflik meliputi munculnya konflik antara dinas pasar (satpam), penjual, dan pembeli di Pasar Gedhe.Kata kunci : Pandemi covid-19, social distancing, interaksi sosial.

Abstract

Abstrak: Gender merupakan sebuah atribut yang melekat pada laki – laki serta perempuan yang dapat dipertukarkan dan berasal dari konstruksi sosial budaya masyarakat terhadap femininitas dan maskulinitas individu. Berbicara mengenai maskulinitas, seiring perkembangan zaman konsep tersebut telah banyak mengalami perubahan, ditandai dengan munculnya istilah maskulinitas baru yang meresistensi nilai-nilai maskulinitas yang hegemonik. Perubahan tersebut mempengaruhi gaya hidup kaum laki – laki yang dikenal dengan istilah metroseksual. Sejak munculnya berbagai produk untuk mendukung penampilan, mereka berani untuk mengekspresikan diri melalui gaya hidup yang lebih modern meskipun hal tersebut diidentikan dengan perempuan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan gaya hidup mahasiswa metroseksual sebagai representasi dari maskulinitas baru di lingkungan Universitas Sebelas Maret. Teori dalam penelitian menggunakan Teori Konstruksi Sosial dari Peter L Berger dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling.Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Validitas data diuji dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk gaya hidup mahasiswa metroseksual yang merepresentasikan konsep maskulinitas baru diantaranya adalah merawat diri, mengikuti trend dunia fashion, menjaga kesehatan tubuh, mengunjungi tempat hangout dan aktif di media sosial. Gaya hidup tersebut terbentuk melalui proses konstruksi yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor pendukung berupa lingkungan keluarga, pergaulan, pekerjaan serta media sosial. Selain itu ada pula faktor penghambat berupa konsistensi untuk merawat diri dan menjaga penampilan, ketidakcocokan terhadap suatu produk, masalah finansial serta mendapatkan perkataan toxic masculinity. Abstract

Marriage is one of human cultures and being apart of the life cycle. It’s a base of forming a family. In ancient era, marriage was considered as conventionally, means women did the marriage because of the culture and society’s persepective. Along with the times growing, changes in the way of human thinking began. Marriage was not only considered as a must in cultural, but it became a personal and rational choice of women. A single woman started to express herself to be involved in many public media, to make her being educated and reach the higher level to catch her desire. Marriage now becomes an important thing, but it’s not the main priority.The purpose of this research is to find the meaning of marriage for a single women workers, social condition of single woman with their job, and marriage preparation of single women. Theory to analize this problem is interpretative understanding of Weber. This is a qualitative research by using case study research strategy, located in Bulukerto district. Sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data collection technique was interview. Data validity using source triangulation and method triangulation.Data analizing technique using interactive analysis model.Research result and discussion analysis showed that women have started to move on the increasing and progress of prosperity in many fields.  Including on the education quality. The involvement of women on the public sphere have opened a new discourse on their way of thinking. This influence on meaning on a perception friction about the meaning of marriage. Single women perception about their life partner is influenced by internal and exsternal factor.  Marriage is considered as an individual freedom right. Social condition of single woman toward her job can be seen from their condition of hard working, achievement of goals, focus on profession, high awarenesss of profession and carrier chances, improvement of work, appreciation of work, and discipline of work. While marriage preparation of single women is to set their life partner criteria, ideal time of marriage, settled and psikologycal readiness, and to make a pre-marital agreement. Keywords: Marriage, Single, Working Women
